sinivii Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 EDIT: Solved it. Need to limit my FPS through limiters, as V-sync does indeed do jack when it comes to 120hz. I've been trying to enable v-sync, but it just doesn't seem to do it. I have iPresentInterval=1 in skyrimprefs.iniI have V-Sync forced on in Nvidia Control Panel I have V-Sync on true in enblocals.ini Yet my FPS still skyrockets past 60 and goes into 100's. Is this because I am using a 120hz monitor that V-sync isn't capping the framerate at 60?
blabba Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Yes, Vsync syncs your monitor refresh rate to the FPS. Why do you want to cap your frames at 60 FPS anyway? If you have a 120Hz monitor isn't that better anyway? If you still want to, look up programs known as FPS Limiters. They'll lock your card to spit out only 60FPS or whatever desired FPS you wish.
RitualClarity Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Don't forget there might be some game settings as well that might need to be set properly for any frame limitations
Deedlit Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 change that at enblocal.ini: [LIMITER] WaitBusyRenderer=false EnableFPSLimit=false (change to true) FPSLimit=10.0 (change to desired fps, example 60.0)
Uno Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 My best choice would be to use Adaptative Vsync (Half refresh rate) that will limit you frames by 60 and reduce the microsuttering.
