JRCosta Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 View File Hello! This is the Version 2 of the Raging moon "armor". The Version 1 can be seen here but this one makes it obsolete. The version 2 is a mash-up of some of my favorite mods that I manage to convert to 7base. The first version was more a learning process for me of the 3ds and the CK, but the idea was always to upgrade to a more lore-friendly version and I believe that now the clothing is perfect to fit a barbarian female player or NPC. What this Mod add to the game: Clothing: - Top; - Panties; - Raging Moon Boots; - Bracers; - Amulet. Weapons (up-gradable): - Bow; - Hunter Sword. All with 3 different sets of textures. How to install: * if you have the previous Raging Moon version, please remove it first. - Manual: extract the file, add it to your game folder then activate the RagingMoon.esp. - NMM: Add the file and activate it as usual. How to get the goods: - Craft the items in the forge under Misc tab; Sword under Steel. - type "help raging" in the console (always without commas) and then "player.additem xxxxxxxx", where "xxxxxxxx" is the armor id. FAQ & Issues: Version 2.4 - Please uninstall previous versions before updating to 2.4. Some files were removed, FormIDs changed, so your previous equipment will be gone. Just craft/add it again via console. Q - How to get the different top colors? A - After the installation, go to your Skyrim game folder and then to the Data\Meshes\Clothes\RagingMoon\ folder. There you see 4 folders, each one named with the different colors. Just select the files from the folder you want and drag them to the previous folder, replacing everything. I have add a screenshot for each re-texture. The base (default) color is white. If you know how to work with NifSkope, just open the ragingmoontop_0, ragingmoontop_1 and ragingmoontop_gnd and simply change the texture (not the t_n.dds, just the first texture file). Q - Who made this mods? A - All the meshes used are from other authors, this is just a mash-up that I would like to share. You can check the authors in the end of this post, I have add links for their main pages. Q - Any know issues? A - Just a couple for now, one that I am trying to fix and other probably not fixable. 1 - There is a clipping issue between the back part of the panties and the quiver if you use the Belt-Fastened Quivers from Chesko Mod; this is probably not fixable; 2 - The Hunter Sword is invisible in the left hand if you use the Dual Sheat Redux; I've tried to fix this using the tutorial, but no luck yet. This should be fixable, it's just a question of time. Q - Why did you not place all the top textures ready to use instead of only use one of a time? A - Believe me, I have tried to do that, but the bodyslide went nuts. I copy-past the ragingmoontop_0, ragingmoontop_1, give them different names, changed the textures and add them in the CK, but every time I changed the weights using the showracemenu command, the body start to clipping the clothes or creating gaps between the neck and the body, so I give up and decided to use this primitive method instead. Sorry for that. Q - Is this compatible with my body mod? A - Probably. The body (7B) is embedded in the Nif files, so it will replace the default body. I have tried with my NPC followers who have different body mods than my character and I have no problem. Future plans: - Make the Dual Sheath Redux work properly with the Sword; - Fix reported Bugs; Thanks and Credits: * Darigaz17 for the Top, panties and Neclace. * Sevennity for 7B body. * Halo from Halofarm for the Badass Bow (slightly re-texture of his Black bonemold Bow);; * Sushiyant for the Hunter Sword (slightly re-texture of his Ariyan Hashashion Sword); * ??? for the Blood Hound Armor (Could't track the author, I got the files from here: ) * Bethesda for TESV Skyrim * And all the modders that help improve this amazing game by creating mods, leaving great video tutorials or helping noobs like me! Loveryus Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 These outfits look amazing. Great job!!! I'm sad that they don't have HDT (bounce) support or do they?
JRCosta Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 These outfits look amazing. Great job!!! I'm sad that they don't have HDT (bounce) support or do they? Glad you liked it. No HDT yet. After finishing just a couple more armors, I will try to add HDT to this one.
circ Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 You didn't make the UNPB conversion did you? Has some funny weights on it.
JRCosta Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 You didn't make the UNPB conversion did you? Has some funny weights on it. The recommended body to use is 7B but this should work with any UNP derivative body, so UNPB (and with BBP too) are fine to use, although some minor clipping or very minor gaps could occur in some weights (extreme). But I admit I've never tried UNPB, so I may be missing something. The funny weights are gaps between the neck/hands/feet and the body? Can you provide me a screenshot?
circ Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Funny weights was me trying the 1.2 version apparently. Thought it was UNPB because I didn't get the 7B thighs. Anyway, it was maxed at .8 weight or something so weight at max showed some skin to the left of the breasts, and boots were aligned a little strangely, although I liked the old boots. Will try this new one I guess. One other question and issue I had with the old one; did the textures get any work other than new colors in this? They were a little too bright in daylight and didn't show the cloth texture detail as well as it could have.

They were a little too bright in daylight and didn't show the cloth texture detail as well as it could have. UNPB increases the max default UNP breast size, so as I used the 7B as base body slide, at extreme weights other UNP body types could make small clippings. The 2.0+ versions uses the same 7B body as base, so you can expect the same issue to happen from around 0,8 The textures did had some tweaks, yes, but not the texture file itself. I have tweaked the way the game uses the file (nifskope lightning flags) so it glows much less and looks a lot more like fabric (you can check some screenshots here: http://tes5stuff.blogspot.pt/2014/05/raging-moon-2.html. Some could work better according to the ENB or effects you use and, in my opinion, the white is probably the one who looks worst in my game (the brown and green the best IMO).
WarLordXII Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 body turns invisible when equipped. Probably due to me using the HDT body.
JRCosta Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 body turns invisible when equipped. Probably due to me using the HDT body. I don't use it, so I really can't help you with that. I thought HDT body was discontinued, why don't switch to TBBP?

Girl Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Dropping a message to say thanks for your continued updates. The outfit looks really nice in-game, as well as the weapons. You seem to have added quite a lot of outfits here that I've missed too.

You can expect some more armors in the next weeks Edit: you can have all the armors in only one esp (with some extra armors too) following my signature link - the file is too big to share in LL without splitting in compressed parts.
JRCosta Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Just a small update fix in the skinning of the upper arm mesh for the Glove_1, now the arm band won't float in the air (rthanks to Firestarter who reported it).
crudo Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 This armor and quite a few on your blog are quite nice. I'll give this one a try, I do use UNPB but like you said, it should still work. Look forward to HDT or TBBP files if you ever take it in that direction. Nice work!

About HDT: I'm starting my first experiences with adding bones to clothing meshes and it is quite interesting to do (lots of trial and error for now); Raging Moon 2.x will be the my first serious attempt (only a small back loin clothe piece to work, should be "simple").

Maybe because I'm using HDT?? Still, the rest of the clothing looks great, I just used the forsworn top from bikini trouble to round off the look. Thanks again!
Badtanker Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I down loaded this mod again because the sword kept being black when drawn out to use and one of the other tops made my body disappear. I'm still trying to figure that one out because all the other parts all work and look great. it would be the second one because the first one looks and moves great. thanks for doing it for 7b can hardly wait for you to do it in hdt also.

Hi! Yes, that disappearing body will be solved in the next and final version - I have learn a reliable way to make all the colors available in-game and finally get rid of that annoying bug. Probably in the next week it should be released. The HDT support probably won't happen at least while I am devoted to the Beyond Skyrim project along with some new releases, sorry.
JRCosta Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 Finally the update! Raging Moon 2.4 This is a major change in the equipment. Please uninstall previous versions to remove unused files; please note that the FormID also changed, so your old Raging Moon equipment will be removed from the game. Just craft/add it via console again. - Removed Red, Green and Brown Top; - Added 2 new set of textures, Dark and Red, for all equipment elements; - Added a new sword in 3 variants (Raging Moon base, Dark and Red and models); - Added Recipes for all the new equipment; - Textures optimized; - All variants in-game via CK texture swap instead of manual NIF swap. If no bugs are found or reported, this is expected to be the final version. I didn't have time to do further testing, so please report any problem and I'll fix ASAP. Check screenshots please. New Sword: Dark Variant: New Red Variant: Check this HDT conversion from no-Remorse too! Happy holidays!
