Activation 'E' key not working

Having a strange problem where when I try to activate a grinding wheel or enchantment table it starts opens the table then closes the table and arms character.

 

Heavly modded including sexframework. Any thoughts as to where to begin looking for problem?

change the keybind at game for another key, per example : K and test. Maybe you already used the default E at another mod keybind and forgot.

Tried that and still had same effect. Also tried to restore defualts and same thing.

 

Tried previous saves for character and same effect. However when I tried another character she worked just fine. Went back to infected character and same problem.

 

BTW I'm also running SPERG, and have no hot key mods currently running.

Nope everything appears to be working correctly.

try changing that to mouse button 3 (m3 at game) the mouse wheel , because if game got a problem with your keyboard keys (idk why) will at least work with mouse, if that dnt works i strong suggest doing a backup of your saves, just save the mods you wanna, forget any mouse wich mess with HUD, and reinstall, test and if all goes good reinstall mods wich mess with HUD.

Just tested with my Default (vanilla) setting at mod organizer and works very well, like you seen at pics : pic 1 target iron helmet, pic2 toke iron helmet, pic 3 used skyforge. Try deactive unequip arrows, i read at post several people getting problems with that, at attach ill post your mods list with base at my vanilla skyrim, with that at least more people can try find that weird error you are got, its not the save problem at least played / tested for few minutes and works well, no errors at game or ctd, looks like its a mod or a corruption at your skyrim.

 

 

**Are you using Mod organizer? because if you are using that save also skyrim inis at profiles, if you are using do that : fix the keybinds of game like you wanna use (example : E to active/take items,etc) exit game and copy at your documents that files : skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini , after copied paste that inside your mod organizer/profiles/YourProfile if that ask to overwrite say yes to all, and test.

 

*** Just Remember Mod Organizer its not Nexus Mod Manager.

Should have jumped in before.  I used to have an issue like this a long time ago with Animated Prostitution.  Basically a sex animation got locked, and prevented any standard animation (alchemy, tanning, etc) from running.  It would start then back out immediately.  The way I cured it was to start another sex animation.  Cleared the problem up.  I've seen others mention a similar issue , but the "new sex" fix didn't work for them (they were also using sexlab, not AP like when I had the problem).  I believe SexLab has an option in the cleanup section to stop all sexlab animations.  Try that then see if your other animation issue get fixed.

Hi there. I'm having a similar issue with the E key not working. Only it isn't broken with everything only certain NPCs and items. This also seems to happen at random. I am using the Animations mod and I have the sexlab frame work and a few mods. Right now i'm experiencing the issue while trying to rent a room from Keerava in the Bee and bard in Riften. I am pressing the E key to interact with her but nothing is happening. I wish there was a fix for this. I am also using Dovakiin's relax. I'm unsure as to what is causing this and am desperately trying to avoid starting over or uninstalling everything.

 

I attached my save file if anyone would be so kind as to help me out with this. I would greatly appreciate any help here.

This is a long time known issue it rarely happens infact its so rare ive had it happen once since i started playing shortly after launch. Im a bit foggy on the fix i used but ill research while I im posting off my tablet in between killing more bandits =). If i remeber right i just drew my weapon and waited till a npc was using a object i was having issues with then interrupted them I did not hit them with my weapon just had it out. The fix is out on the net if you do some searching nothing to dl just actions to do.

OK wow.... I deleted the INI files and now skyrim doesn't see any of my mods... At all. When I launch the skyrim launcher data files is blacked out. I have never had this happen before its crazy!

I though I had the same problem. It was just the armcuffs from Deviant Devices.
