Incandescence Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 what is ID of Frostbite armor? the first two digits of ID change depending on your load order, so type "help frostbite" in console and it will tell you all matches, use page up/page down to navigate.

There was a mod mentioned somewhere here on LL to light up your character when going into "showracemenu" so you could edit and actually see the changes your making clearly. I know a lot of people love dark settings' date=' but for me it's a nightmare. I have eyesight issues. Actually, if someone could help me finding a lighting mod that helps to see things more clearly, that would be great. I tried Climates of Tamriel and loved it, but the settings were too dark, so I had to reinstall the game for default settings. Default is too dark with brightness at 100% unless I'm in a bright area. HALP! [/quote'] This might help when creating a char. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20394 Its not a brightness mod - but it does equip your char with a torch in hand to brighten things up when editing.

I haven't actually looked at the files but I can give general advice: If the schwertle set has separate skirt, you don't need to do anything, just put on the correct pieces. If not then you need to delete the skirt from it, the easiest way is nifskope. If you want to make a new set instead of combining these in game, then you'll have to use the creation kit for that, though that seems like wasted effort.

And the chest piece seems to crash my game, going to move it around in the order list real fast, see if it's a conflict. EDIT: I take that back, after taking a look in CK, it's named 'Hailstorm', not 'FrostBite'. Ya, no where in the order fixes it, and I don't know enough about the CK to try and fix it, so I guess I can't wear it :<

I used Nifscope to remove the parts. I had no prior experience with that program so it took me awhile to figure out how. For future reference, if anyone else wants to remove parts of an armor/clothing, simply open it on Nifscope, select the part you want to remove in the render window, right click on the line that gets highlighted in the window to the left of the render, click Flag and check Hidden. Worked perfectly!
