windbrand123 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Can you make it so that the "are you interested in restraints" menu only appears on HUMAN characters? It's really annoying that it appears on creatures, even horses. Whenever I ride a horse "are you interested in restraints" will pop up, and when dismounting the horse the game will freeze because it's stuck in the "are you interested in restraints" popup with no selectable choices (pressing tab does nothing).

Their arm animation remains otherwise unchanged. Also, if I equip them with a gag, they can still talk. And I can't find an option to equip them with the slave boots. Finally, it seems that devices added by "Captured Dreams" such as ebonite devices cannot be equipped to NPCs.

There are going to be a number of new variations of items released sometime soon, most are in beta now. I may have to rethink the way i am going to do this as the number of items (including ones from Captured Dreams) will be well over 100 items.

Veladarius Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I think I figured out how to do it, I can make use of the gift menu as it can be filtered by keywords. It will require you to have multiple keys if you have it set to destroy keys to remove devices though.

Instead of having dialogue for each individual item it now uses just 1 dialogue for each type of device (belt, collar, vaginal plug etc..) and uses a gift menu where you can select an item from the item type you want to give them from your inventory. The gift menu, for some reason, keep the devices from equipping immediately so I added dialogue to equip any unworn devices. Also, all the item types are stored in form lists and it has the ability to scan your or an npc's inventory and look for any custom items not on the list and add them (once added to the list it will remember them) so unless new classes of items are added it will always be up to date.

I have been testing it with Captured Dreams and it has no problems detecting custom items so it should only require updating for new types of devices.

And same as for gags, they can still talk. I don't have any plans to add any animations to this currently, it is intended as a simple way to equip items on npc's. A quick update: I have some minor issues with the mod still. Removing devices is horribly slow (removing all devices at once takes 1-2 minutes and drops you out of the conversation when done) and it is adding quest devices to the lists. I am looking to rearrange the scripts a bit and see if I can improve the speed and recognition of the scripts. The only other minor issue is the duplication issue usually seen with selling items can happen with this (giving the item currently worn will result in the npc and player having them), nothing I can do about that.

What your asking for is further refinement of an item that someone else made and it came from somewhere else. So go off to Devious Devices Assets and talk to that person or group about that fix.

It should work with any custom items available you will just need to have the mod scan for new items in your or npc's inventory (done in dialogue). I have tested it with Captured Dreams and every item available from it was usable. There are a number of differences from the previous version and items are given using the Gift Menu instead if individual dialogue parts. This allowed me to add the ability to use any device without adding more dialogue and it will only need updating for new device types. The downside to this is that the items do not equip as soon as they are given as the Gift menu works differently from other trade menu's so you will have to tell the npc to put the items on.
matekun Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Just using it for a few days and I have to say that I like it a lot.Maybe other people prefer to make Npcs equip DD items with mods like Puppet Master,but I really enjoy to have to convince them to do it,adds more deepness,not just command them to do it like dolls.You said you are not going to add more things,but I have some suggestions,just in case.-You shouldn't be able to convince people with a relationshiprank less than 1.Unless,like Submit have,you bribe or intimidate them. -Succes also depends on personality (voice type),easy for Npcs like Camilla or Sigrid and hard for Delphine,Maven or Uthgerd (fail and you can end with a plug in your ass XD) -Adding a "willing to wear" or "submissive" level rank,something like: Just convinced npcs get a rank 1 and can only wear Items like slave boots,collars or a chastity bra.After some time using them and get used to (hooked,addicted) they progress to rank 2,then items like cuffs and belts with plugs can be equipped.Finally a rank 3 can be armbinders and blindfolds.-Max ranked Npcs can be also convinced to wear those items naked,first at home,and eventually in public places until you finally manage to make them stay in one place until you say otherwise. Anyway,thank you for your work ,I just wish I had the time/skill to do it myself.

The initial dialogue is all the same with the added dialogue condition of they have to be a playable race (to screen out dialogue for animals added by some mods). Once you get past the point of the npc agreeing is where the dialogue has been reconfigured.

My follower has a full set of restraints not including gag and blindfold. When I open her inventory, I can trade items in either direction and dialogs are all correct. If I use "remove all unused items and keys", she gives up all worn items. Showinventory still lists all the unnamed entries as equipped. All items stiil show as worn. At this point she is hosed and out of synch. Rather than try to fix it with Removeallitems I just load from an earlier save. Same problem if I give her a mask then remove it through the interaction menu. I get the removed message, but the blindfold is still visibly there She is out of synch again. We need an easy way to clean out these nameless inventory entries when synch fails.

I think there were some commands that have changed slightly and may be the cause. There are some other things I need to update and add (strip option from above) so I will take a look.
