FreakyStyley Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Thing like scripts etc that won't stop running even after uninstalling the mods or things just generally making the game function worse.
cornbreadtm Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Depends on if you use the uninstall function in the mcm or through console. Or if you remove it carelessly without using the function. Some Sexlab plugins have uninstall functions and others you can just disable. Though if you get good enough you can remove mods constantly without messing up your saves, but that takes a bit of skill, understanding and practice. Though it's fun when you get there since you kinda feel relaxed when you try new things with your main save.
Emberheart Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I'm starting to think that if I'd start working as a savegame debugger, using set_variable commands and what not to restore settings, I could be filthy rich.

nutluck Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 No more or less than any other mod on any other site. All mods especially ones with scripts can cause problems. If you don't uninstall them correctly with a clean uninstall. Then of course some mods both here and on other sites don't all have easy ways to do clean uninstall options but most do. So the short answer is no more than any other set of mods.
WaxenFigure Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 All mods involving scripts ought to be considered as forever after a part of that savegame from the moment they are first introduced. The best you can do is to stop the quests for that mod and then leave it present but in active for the rest of your game play with that character. The worst thing you can do is install a scripted mod and then remove it later, even if you stopped it's quests. This particular game just doesn't like to clean up and remove inactive content. Specifically regarding SexLab, if you want to try it but are unsure about it. Keep at least one save from before you installed it so you can return to that save later if you decide you don't want it. Once you pass the point where you don't want to lose any progress in the game the best you can do from then on is to shut down the mod and leave it in place.
