So I looked through my modlist and realized that there were many mod authors whose mods I really like. Here are a "few" of them: yukl Author of the YY Anim Replacer series (Mystic Knight, Zweihander or the new Princess Horse Riding) and 360 Walk and Run. I really adore his animations especially the ones from Mystic Knight like the finger snap or the master spell. isoku isoku, the creator of many neat little mods like Rainbows, Shooting Stars or Splash of Rain. Furthermore he made his come back with Realistic Water Two a while ago and author of Wet and Cold. Seriously one of my favorites. Arthmoor What would we do without him and his team at AFK Mods? Playing a buggy Skyrim (Unofficial Patches) or maybe starting always the the same intro (Alternate Start), More mods are Open Cities, Run For Your Lives or Point The Way. Essential modder, no discussion. InsanitySorrow My favorite weapon artist. All these nice swords, bows and stuff bundled in Lore Weapon Expansion and Unique Unqiues. xp32 Great animator who gave us the Skyrim Hair Physics, animation for nearly every movement (except the dirty stuff ) and of course the Maxium Skeleton. He also undertook the UNPB Body. kryptopyr Has a neat collection of mods enhancing the gameplay in Skyrim: Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade, Trade And Barterk, Weapon And Armor Fixes, The Choice Is Yours and more. Zerofrost Makes really high quality armors. (No skimpy ) Boris Love hit or hate, ENB is huge thing and I need my daily post processing dosis. Cabal120 Will we see aMidianBorn Skyrim? Yeah, probably. Uncontested in the armor retextures but for landscapes i prefer Hein84 with his Vivid Landscape. More (too lazy and im not so confident in my English to write more ) KURESE - armors jojjo - armors Hentai - armors Arrow&Knee Mod Team fore - FNIS tktk1 - Combat, ECE expired - RaceMenu, Chargen Extension, Extensible Follower Framework Right now i'm not really experienced with LL and it's authors so please forgive me to not mention them right now. What are you favorite mod authors? To whom are you maybe really grateful? (I'm not asking for the "best" authors and I'm aware the poll but for me it was a bit limited) Toast

There are so much it's hard to remember them all at some point, but you know you want to see each and every one of them and buy them a beer when you play with their mods

Without SL we would all be posting conservative images on the Nexus. -Cabal for his armor textures. -Zerofrost for his epic armors -Hellosanta -Boris, because without ENB's I don't think I'd be playing Skyrim.
Pwishy Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Gone. Without him, creature animations would never be where it is today. Our Dragonborns would remain unravaged and unchecked by Skyrim's non-human inhabitants. He was the impetus for the development of the beastiality modding scene.

SKSE should top any best-mods-list, as should its authors. It's almost criminal how underrated it is in terms of importance, probably because people simply tend to forget about it since it's not very flashy/sexy. But ~90% of mods in that category would probably not exist without SKSE. Btw, same is true for Oblivion with OBSE and Fallout with FOSE/NVSE.
blabba Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Somebody who hasn't been mentioned yet, that I at least think does a pretty good blend of humor and 'essential' mods: Apollodown - Created Dragon Combat and Civil WAr Overhaul (as well as Fire and Ice and the new Drama Combat) - Also the funniest description writer I know of, who still gets the point across. Caliente & Cell - Created Outfit Studio/BodySlide 2 among other things HydrogensaysHDT - The REAL creator of hair/armor/body physics in skyrim (gotta give credit where it's due)
