Hi! I'm looking for some new quest mods. I've been checking out Nexus and downloaded a few. I have Wyrmstooth, falskaar, and a few others. I was wondering if anybody knew of any good quest mods that were fun and lore-friendly?

Luftahraan - Heimfeigr

Adds a new dungeon (located to the NE of Winterhold) - not really a quest, but involves a few hours of game play to make it through all the levels of the dungeon.

The mod creator has been working on Luftahraan for many months. Eventually, it will add a new city (bigger than Whiterun) with several new quests and characters. This dungeon was released as a preview of the quality of work to be in Luftahraan when it is finally ready.

My favourite quest mod ever, Maids II... :)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16021/?

EDIT: just to reinforce this concept:

- The only quest mod I did more than a single playthrough.

- The only quest mod that, on a personal list of favourite quest mods, I would put before mine (which, for obvious reasons, should stay on top)

- The only quest mod where an evil NPC brought me to take the dark path for the first time in my life, among dozen playthrought.

- The only quest mod where I married one of its NPCs.

- The only quest mod that will make me buy Oblivion just to play its prequel.

- The only quest mod that would make me forgetting about post apocaliptic environments and gunpowder weapons

Seconded! First quest mod i played and still it is the best one. Although because of the end i haven't been able to play it again :D. Probably still gonna try to play when episode 4 comes out :P.

Awww, nice, someone speaking my "language" !

I suppose you are... talking about Kasia... I suppose I'm the only one in this world who can't suffer her ;) I'm a real devoted Siren and I'll want to be near my beloved Daedra when the fireworks will start... but unfortunately, concerning how the story will move in the next chapters (well, concerning what I saw in the CK...), I suppose I won't be able to have my personal happy ending. Ah, true love's such a chimera...

Would installing a quest / DLC-like mod break my game? I mean, Maid II states that it is heavily recommended to start a fresh game. But I'd rather not lose the progression of my character.

Mainly, Maids II is "heavy". If you are running many mods like me, you can sometimes find situations like NPC that stuck during an animated scene, you must bump on them or disable and re-enable them so that they re-evaluate etc.etc. Excluding that, personally I don't see anything that would require a fresh new install. Anyway if you are high level, probably you would like creating new saves since the point you will install the mod, taking note of the save just before installing the mod, so that if you'll have serious consequences you could easily reload it after uninstalling the mod. But that story really deserved to be played...

The only bug (excluding the obvious things I wrote about NPCs) I had was with CTD in Matari's cell because I used a replacer of Nocturnal, it's a bug that occurs even in vanilla with the "real" nocturnal.

Well the majority of my mods are armors/clothes, textures replacers, Interesting NPCs mod, a few others things too. The only mods which include scripts that I can think of are the Dance of Death and SexiS.

In my opinion, the only real way to be sure that some minor issues don't happen with NPCs getting stuck in animated scenes is playing full vanilla on a new fresh install, since I've seen it's common practice testing the mod with it. Anyway if you are not scared by using console to solve little issues like that (i.e. if you are looking for Steam achievements), I'm sure you won't have any drastic issues with that mod

How-how dare you, talking in those terms about my wife! :D

Maids II & Interesting NPC's are the only "Good lawd, this is amazing," quest mods for me. Maids II is incredibly professional, down to the writing, characters, easter eggs, and player choice. I luv it! Then there's Interesting NPC's which is a quest mod, inside a quest mod, inside of many other quest mods. That mod alone literally poops on every other quest-focused mod. So those are my recommendations.

So I've milked Wyrmstooth. I have to say that it's a very, very well made mod. Far better than Falskaar in my opinion. Far better. I really enjoyed it and there was lots of exploration. I'd highly suggest it to anyone who likes questing and exploring new places. It's quite good.

Now I am downloading Maids II as I type this. Wish me luck. :o

Well, I am not yet finished with Maids II, but I will say that it's been really good so far. Real choices with different outcomes. That's cool. Lots of hot chicks wearing nice armors. Really cool. :D And it's been LONG, really engaging and it makes me want to play more and more to find out what happens. So I'd say it's really good stuff overall.

Now for the downside. I have had two CTDs and two ILSs while playing it (even while using Sheson's mem patch :o). It has been several hours of gameplay, but this is with a game/install that's had absolutely no issues whatsoever for way, way over 100 hours of gameplay. Now it's not a deal breaker in any way, especially considering I expected a few things after reading it had over 1000 scripts in it (more than any other mod I've ever seen). So all in all it's not bad and not as bad as I figured it would be considering the heavy scripting involved.

My honest opinion? It's worth playing, even if it means removing it afterward and reverting to a save prior to installing it. But that's only if it gives you issues after it's complete, if it doesn't then no worries. This is one of the best mods (or even quests in general) that I've played.

Agreed. Not a quick hack job but an enjoyable, well-thought out quest mod, although there's a handful of bugs and quirks to consider.

I tried out Helgen Reborn; you do some quests to help a man avenge his family, and at the same time rebuild Helgen.

Could use some more vegetation, though. And the final boss? Let's just say it needs some rethinking, especially for higher levels.

I had it installed once before, but my game went to utter shit. So I did a clean install and performed a lot more TLC-type preparations for it (and switched to Mod Organizer) this time around. I ended up with a really stable game for a change. I just haven't gotten around to installing this monster yet.

I almost wanna' cry! :(

I get to the "end" of Maids II and it left me hanging. It's not really over and yet it's over. No maid servants or anything.

Don't read the spoiler if you haven't played this mod/quest yet!

Kasia's dead and my Golden Maidens are nowhere to be found. And the next episode isn't ready yet. I WANT MY KASIA!

The Maidens should be awaiting for you in the Grotto, if they're not there you could try Fort Pazarath since it's there they go when you fire them. Also try to speak Matari, she will give you a new assignment which is in chapter IV, I don't know if it's useful to trigger the 5 Golden Maidens

God, another fan of Kasia? am I the only one in love for Freya and who kill anyone else out there on the "good side"? If they don't execute Drama Lilith, I'll do that on my own...

I did grow kinda' fond of Kasia. But I think ol' Freya is kinda' sweet, too. I made sure to get it on with her, too. Just be sure to lock the door if you wanna' get in good with Kasia. :D

I found the Maidens. It just took a while for them to show up at Pazaroth. Now I am running around with Catherine (Freya isn't receptive anymore) and I have her armed well and slutted up properly. I even made her a prostitute. :o

I may end up removing the mod and going back to an older save now. I've gotten a few odd crashes changing cells and that is a no-go. My game was perfectly crash and ILS free before adding Maids. But it was worth playing, it's really quite well done and the characters are great.

I had a weird issue with Morrigan, I couldn't fire her in any way, she also doesn't wait if I tell her to wait. I also have some issues in forcing them wearing the clothes using the mod's interface. In my opinion (but only my opinion, I can be 1000 times wrong) this last part that should allow you to handle them as followers wasn't 100% finished or tested. Excluding that, I had no other issues from this mod, I play heavily modded and everything went quite smooth. The only CTD was caused by a custom Nocturnal dress. Anyway I did a second walkthrough to check all the consequences of my actions, the story is very huge and is full of many details that really deserve to be discovered. An example of this is the different choices you do when you go checking the four checkpoints.

Unfortunately I found I can't change my fate in the next chapters. My dream of perfect life (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA5PhQNGtwU&feature=youtu.be) will be broken soon because that's the plot, I can't oppose to that and when I say people "I trust Matari and I want to side with her" they simply laugh at me and answer "come on, you're the Dragonborn, you can't do choose that... now follow the story and shut up...
