Guest Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Hey guys, ya know NanoCrisis? Wanna know why it was never finished? Well, because Inufactory decided to make this, Hounds of the Blade. It looks, sounds, feels, and plays similarly to NanoCrisis. Although still in development, you download it at this website: http://inufactory.sakura.ne.jpClick the download button and on the next page click the first link. In the next page type in "blade" (without quotation marks) in the first box and in the 2nd box type in whatever you see in the captcha. Hit enter and the rest should be self explanatory. Additionally, you can english translations of the game in the ULMF thread here: http://www.ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=17582 The latest translation can be found on page 151 (20141123 version of the game) by a user named Wessex (thanks man!). http://inufactory.blog111.fc2.com/ is the link to the old development site. It's defunct now. Controls:Z=Confirm/AttackX: Cancel/SkillC: JumpA: DashQ: PauseF: Skills menu/ Game configurerEnjoy.
Evilokami Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 You should also link the ULMF thread. they seem to have people that follow H-games all day. http://www.ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=17582 (Just so you don't have to) But I hope the guy actually finishes this.... Nano crisis was awesome.

CrazoAmazo Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Ah, this demo was INCREDIBLY short. But, it's much faster and more fun than Nanocrisis. It plays hard and fast, with combos and jumping attacks and a skill button that does nothing. The enemies die super fast, the animations don't last 120 seconds, and armor IS USEFUL this time around. A perfect learning experience from Nano Crisis, apparently, as he has improved on everything. Be warned that, at the time of this writing, there is only one level with one sex animation and a game-over rape scene of sorts. It's confusing. Good gameplay and a cute protagonist, and SKIPPING CUTSCENES. THANK GOD. I'll be watching this one.

The katana does 700+ damage (2 strikes kill all enemies). Double jumping 2 stories, super fast attacks, sprinting, as well as the fact that katana can strike both front and back regardless of where you're facing. Enemies come by the dozens and you are unstoppable. Even on the absolute highest difficulty (above very hard, enemies will take off 1/3 of your health in one strike and knock you onto your ass, bumps also incapacitate you) it's extremely easy to just stand there and win (the gun guy is a bit tricky, but easy to dodge). Hopefully the katana is only that strong for debug or other reasons. We'll see.
Evilokami Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I don't think this demo is the start of the game. All tho the only thing that irks me about his games is.... No nudity? I know she is wearing a mini mini skirt and a thong... But he should make it break off as your armor falls. Just my opinion. And he might. Only time will tell. But in nano crisis you were penetrated through your one piece.
Guest Donkey Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 This looks pretty good. Any english translation for this yet ???
Daguy Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 There is another scene now, two infact, after the first level. You can lose in what seems to be a simulation against a dummy. It will rape the PC after you give up, leading to the option to give in and end up in an... interesting (what seems to be blackmail) blowjob scene.
Ark of Truth Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I prefer NanoCrisis to this one. Nothing like shooting your enemy with a gun, they have guns ln a game basedin the future and she's using a sword.
Wisher Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I couldn't get the controls to works for this game as well as NanoCrisis. I tried changing them, but nothing worked. I just cant do anything at the main menu. Any solutions for this?
Guest Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 This looks pretty good. Any english translation for this yet ??? Unfortunately, I haven't seen or found any. Hopefully one will be created in the near future.
loverslab987 Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 This guy seems to have made a rough english translation, but I haven't checked that out yet. http://www.ulmf.org/bbs/showpost.php?p=366769&postcount=350
Daguy Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Its pretty good, if its the one i'm thinking of, though I got mine from Hongfire. Explains things pretty well and adds contextual sexay.
Guest Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Just want to bump this thread to notify you guys that the dev has made quite a few updates to this game! I recommend trying it out again. Go here for an english translation. Also, does anyone know if there's any way to tweak the damage of the katana? The player char is extraordinarily OP thanks to the uber katana and a bunch of other things. I'd think changing the amount of damage that the katana does would be the easiest change.
windpl Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Is that upadate with fly level? And for being OP just hike up difficulty it in options
Guest Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Is that upadate with fly level? And for being OP just hike up difficulty it in options I've heard about some fly that they put into the game, I've yet to see it though. And as for difficulty, the difference in difficulty between Very Hard and "Kichiku" (the hardest difficulty) is ridiculous. However the game is a cake-walk at Very hard.
emo877 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Hi, i tweaked garbage-level a little. Added a rat probability to "easy" (left) location and Ziga(s) to right. Backup files have underscore in extentions. (a hour ago posted it to ulmf) i think it'll be good to make some 'statics' (as it is on testers-level) and to dig in scripts for something more clever than adding a line. Whoever want to try, take in mind, if you going to add new enemy, change not only spawn-script, but "preloading" script too (in my case it was SpriteLoading.gml). In my zero-attempt i had muzzle-fire and bullets without zigas themself. HotB_edD114.rar

Mrblack Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Also' date=' does anyone know how to get to the "fly" level? [/quote'] after you get past the sewer level go back to the hunter office, THEN go talk to the dwarf character in the shop for the 'unoffical' assignment. Go back to ship and you'll see the 3rd landing zone on the map. I also echo your sentiment that the game is too easy. Once I get over losing my laptop, the HD got cancer (sheds tear), I think I'll jump into trying to decompile and mod the game a bit. It kills me when you have to allow yourself to lose to see the content.
emo877 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Also' date=' does anyone know how to get to the "fly" level? [/quote'] Do as Mrblack said. So your edit adds more spawns? At the left half of "fly"\"garbage" location one of possible flies replaced with tunnel rat, so you'll get approx 2..4 flies and one rat on a screen; at its right ("more complex") side i add two ziga's spawns with low probability, in game you will meet them not every time you step into this loc. -- but after abt. 6 attempts i got 2 around me just arrived there. I'm not sure how bad-ends from added spawns will be calculated - did not tested them. About "too easy" game - may be i'll find the way to tweak savegame for lowering pc-level and stats -- fex, to ~20% percent of current..
Mrblack Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 About "too easy" game - may be i'll find the way to tweak savegame for lowering pc-level and stats -- fex' date=' to ~20% percent of current.. [/quote'] I'll tell you what it really needs. Fixed hit boxes. Her sword shouldn't hit behind her. Better grabs, you shouldn't have to ALLOW a monster grab her. Rats are a great example they grab all the time, but only when you stand completely still do they land. Shield regeneration needs to be tweaked. Even after I allow a grab, shield is full before another grab. Health hits are fine on very hard. And I would like to double the flys in the fly level. Just my thoughts. I wish I could post suggestions on the dev's page, and maybe send him a donation because I love the game so much.

Along with fixing the hit-box, the devs should also give rats either more speed or perhaps a temporary stun when they attack. Something to make them at least a bit more powerful so that the player doesn't have to literally stand there and wait for the rat to "grab" the player. More health would also be good (or have the player do less damage). The dogs from NanoCrisis are an example of an enemy with not too much health but are a challenge to kill (so challenging that when I failed that level after killing 36 of them I threw in the towel and haven't picked up Nanocrisis since). I think that the dogs would fit even better as enemies here than in nanocrisis. Let's hope the game dev takes this or similar advice. This game has huge potential.
Guest Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Hey guys, he just recently updated the blog! Does anyone know what this update is about?
Guest Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Another update. It links to another site which may or may not have games on it. However there is no new update for HotB unless I'm mistaken and it's on that site somewhere.
