I just use the standard follower options for any character rather than any follower management mod. I do use RDO, though. That mod does add lots of extra dialogue to voice types which usually lack them including recruitment lines.

I did try a mod which added/corrected follower dialogue and it get get me the "Follow me I need your help" but she wouldn't join because I already had 'a' follower (more like twenty 🧐 ).
