I encourage anyone testing let me know of any bugs and or have questions and to use the diagnostics tab to confirm whether or not the features are working for you I have a "live logger" among other debugging tools that are very easy to use, while they're up you hold ALT to be able to select them.

The text above the character is optional let me know any feedback in how it looks thank you!~

I cannot seem to get the mod menu showing up with SKSE Menu Framework. The base menu opens fine but ESL isn't in the list. It also doesn't appear to have made any folders in my SKSE/Plugins directory. It's possible that I've fucked this installation up somehow cause I've never used SMF before but want to make sure I'm the only one with this issue before I go down that road.

  1. Download EroticSkillLoss 1.7, not the SourceCode file (if you did download that one its for coders)

  2. Install the correct versions of SKSE, Address Library and SKSE Menu Framework

  3. Enable EroticSkillLoss.esp, launch through SKSE and press F1 to open the menuI

tested the uploaded 1.7 file on Skyrim 1.6.1170 and it worked for me let me know if you still have issues double checking these steps ^^ you can check if you got a log here "Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\EroticSkillLoss.log" if the log didnt appear its most likely installed incorreclty.

Yup, those are all the steps I followed. I wonder if it's an issue due to me being on 1.5.97, though I do use BEES so it shouldn't be an issue.

Possibly i can't guarantee support for 1.5.97 since i havent tested for it personally but i did compile for it 🤔however ill go ahead and download 1.5.97 later and test if that is maybe the issue but its goihng to take me a tiny bit to figure that how and set it up, but ill message you again when i do though.

Did a log show up at all though? whats it say? also send your SKSEMenuFramework.log

Nothing valuable, as far as I can tell. When starting a new game, there's nothing in the console and nothing in the papyrus log. SKSEMenuFramework log is also empty.

When loading an existing save with ESL loaded for the first time it gives me this:

[09/12/2026 - 05:04:14PM] warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp40"
stack:
	[EroticSkillLoss_SkillLossQuest (2C0036C8)].EroticSkillLoss_Main.RefreshPolling() - "EroticSkillLoss_Main.psc" Line 173
	[EroticSkillLoss_SkillLossQuest (2C0036C8)].EroticSkillLoss_Main.RegisterRelayEvents() - "EroticSkillLoss_Main.psc" Line 52
	[EroticSkillLoss_SkillLossQuest (2C0036C8)].EroticSkillLoss_Main.OnInit() - "EroticSkillLoss_Main.psc" Line 21

but this error doesn't appear with a new game. Saved new game and loaded it back up and the SKSE Menu still doesn't contain ESL.

This is helpful its most likely a 1.5.97 incompatibility and one now i need to make sure to test properly, i'll get back to you after doing so thanks for the log in the meantime you coudl give me your skse64.log it will most likely confirm this

checking plugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EroticSkillLoss.dll
plugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\EroticSkillLoss.dll does not appear to be an SKSE plugin

Huh. Go figure. Whoever decided to update Skyrim twice and break mods both times needs to be drawn and quartered

Well, glad we were able to figure out what was happening! I'm excitedly awaiting the backport! This is just the extra little piece I need to create a "dumb cow" load order with MME!

Just one off rip for now, Integration with Being a Cow so that increases in cow stages decrease XP would be pretty neat if that could be made to work.

I'll look into integrating that ^^ should be easy enough.

Damn I might just migrate this to my modlist over Bloodline 2.0

Bloodline had such a cool concept but it just took such a weird direction for it being focused on a PC impregnating females

XP for leveling up a girl and getting benefits from her was based on your semen output, so you couldn't bone all the time. And Dragon Souls contributed to your load size, giving them an extra purpose. Variations in the type of sex also contributed to leveling up, as in spreading out in doing Oral, Anal and Vaginal on them would level them up faster than constant Vaginal

And the XP selection was also based on race: Fuck a Nord and you get Two handed XP, fuck a Breton and you get Conjuration, etc.

But then when it came to lasting buffs, it just raised so many eyebrows.

Women only gave basic HP/SP/MP cap increases or regens with it's secondary Soulmate leveling system.

Shortly after in development they only applied to the Women at Friend or Higher with nice sex. Aggressive sex and sometimes pregnancies would shift their mod randomly which may not play well with your modlist with recovering their vanilla relationship, or relationship/harem mods or player slaver mods

And then finally the mod author added powerful Skill based timer buffs based on race (Like 50% 1H damage for 1Hour), but these are only gotten by having 3+ somes on a female with men. The man's race determined the buff

Temporary Skill based buffs on sex (and maybe based on who the partner is) could be a fun addition to this. And give some life long after you maxed your skills

Fuck a Nord and succeed and you might get 20% Two handed damage for 1H, lose and you -20% 2Hand

Ended up with another thought after playing through a bit. The debug messages always refer to the character as they, them, etc. Which is fine, but a selector for your PC's gender in the config menu for those messages would be nice.

You're most likely referring to the immersive notifications which go through skyirms notification system, yea that was left over from the oriiginal mod now I have full male/female detection without needing to add an option for it in the menu and i'll change that in the next update

That sounds interesting i like the race based progression idea so Ill look into that but I have mostly opted out of adding debuffs/buffs when it comes to sex as sooo many mods seems to do this that its sort of a mess to try to add more.

For example:
- SexlabDefeat: Adds Debuffs after sex
- Pregnancy mods: Adds Debuffs during cycles/pregnancy
- MilkModEconomy: Adds Debuffs when being milked
- Love Sickeness: Adds Debuffs after sex and level loss
- Wear and Tear: Adds debuffs after sex.
- Slavery mods: Adds debuffs after sex
- Sexlab Disparity: Adds/changes debuffs after sex and more

There are many more and stacking another system on top could become messy and that is why I focused Erotic Skill Loss on skills, levels and XP instead of competing with mods that already handle buffs and debuffs better but i'll add it to the list 😊

Some ideas or suggestions:

- Pregnancy mod support for losing/gaining levels
- Succubus Support creating a switch during sex for player to choose to drain victims rather than it being manual (I dont know what succubus mods people use now though)
- Global skill/xp loss gain per day
- An orgasm overload system where reaching a configurable limit greatly increases the next loss
- A rival system where NPCs can steal XP or levels that you can later reclaim or ignore
- Prostitution Support some mods have prostitution rank make it affect how much loss/gain you get.
- Skill loss when serving prison sentences
- Being A Cow support: Lose less when higher rank
- Race Based debuffs/buffs

I'd be ecstatic for a wear and tear option! I used to use Simple W&T, the original still works, the tracking that is. But the damage does not add up anymore. I could not make the new Simple W&T for SE work. Now I have Apropos2, but it's heavy, clunky and only supports female characters. May I expand on this topic?

- Separate tracking of different orifices

  - Simple W&T has the option to "turn off" certain areas for accumulating damage, which is amazing for femboy builds.

  - In Apropos, the damage seems to spill over from anal to vaginal etc which makes no sense to me.

  - I'm a sucker for seeing a tracker permanently on screen - SL Widgets has an amazing visual tracker for Apropos but S W&T had simple bars which is a very clean implementation.

  - Some people were suggesting a tracker for penile damage but no mod ever had it.

- Adjustable debuffs

  - Apropos has the option to change the amount of speed or stamina and mana regeneration being affected, but you can't pick only stamina or only mana or give them different values.

  - You also can't turn off debuffs (for example, vaginal damage appears even after erasing it from the TXT files).

  - Might be fun if after reaching a certain amount of damage, part-taking in that sex type would continuously lower HP until 1 point left.

- Texture overlays

  - Apropos has a fun mechanic where having a certain damage level sends a signal to Slavetats to overlay a texture with appropriate damage representation. The huge downside is, that the damage is tracked together and added up into an average, so the overlays can't only activate for the separate areas. It also means you can't reach "max damage" if one of the three orifices is still undamaged.

Sorry for the lengthy post and thank you for reading!

Got another. Spell loss. Really don't know if this one's possible but configurably forgetting vanilla and maybe apocalypse spells would be unbelievable.

Would there be any chance for Soul Gem Oven 4: Integration Fork (SGO4IF) compatibility in the future?

I'll make sure to add support this as well ^^

My mod is primed for a wear and tear like system i'll look into it though but this would be a major change of course like everything its systems would be optional one thing .

I totallyl agree in fact the main reason I made this mod was because i didnt like the implementation in love sickeness i wanted to know when i was losing level progress or skills, with either sounds or visuals, i did plan to add hud elements but i havent gotten there just yet but ill keep this in mind if/when i decide to tackle something like this
