As the title says.

 

Almost every horse in the game is a female, except for very specific ones, like the horses pulling carriages for some reason. I am using a large modlist with nolvus as a base. While I am confident as a modder, I have not been able to figure out why this is the case, and it has been driving me crazy. I have changed the default gender, I have tried puppeteer. One other suspicious/weird thing before I post my modlist, I have Baka's Animated beast cocks installed, but they do not show up in the creature framework. Finally, but significantly less annoying, is that all the giants do not unequip their weapons before engaging in animations. So they will just hold you and their giant club in their hand and go to town. If someone has aaaany idea how to deal with either of these issues, I'd really appreciate it.

 

I know this is an absurdly long modlist to expect people to comb through out of kindness, but I'm out of ideas so here we are.

As I said on my last post, they are female and have female bits. They have animations, and they are all the female horse on humanoid animations. No other animals have this problem so I figured it must be a conflict with one of the other horse mods in Nolvus, but I couldnt get it to change, even when testing without those mods on new savegames.

For the default gender, I believe its an option in either sexlab or the mod that lets creatures engage with you based on arousal? (I think you meant to say its a record under ABCS. If so, does that mean I need to edit it in creation kit or something? If you did meant to type ACBS, idk what that is....)

In creature framework there is an option to swap the default meshes used for the animals. I saw posts around about selecting the ABC option in that menu instead of the MNC meshes. Thats all I know, so I was curious if perhaps something wasnt working right on my end. Very possible I'm misinformed about ABC or also getting the modnames wrong. I dont have access to my install atm so IDK if creature framework is even the name of the mod that lets me select the creature meshes. T-T

 

As for the giants, I'm guessing you don't know where I can find this script? Or perhaps how to fix it myself?

Sure, but I don't know where ACBS maps to in the CK. Probably faster to do this in xEdit. xEdit can be scripted too if you need to change all horses.

 

Personally I wouldn't change all horses like this. I haven't done it, yet they have dongs. I suppose if you plan to use some mod to have creatures boink eachother you might need to do something.

If your version of ABC contains the creatures.d directory in Data\ then check what the mod name is listed as in the files in creatures.d and pick that option in CF. As far as I know, ABC does not contain a creatures.d directory.

Only thing I remember right now is that it's not too long ago (maybe 6 months) since I stumbled upon a "giant club fix for SL". I had a quick look in SL 166b to see if this was something that was already implemented, but it doesn't seems like that's the case. Had a quick look on Google/DuckDuckGo as well, but they both get confused and only want to show results about players getting teleported to the Whiterun giants camp.

 

So, right now I'd say it probably exists already, and the fix probably involved a missing SendAnimationEvent. I would perhaps not rule out it being a FNIS/Pandora thing (i.e. behaviour file fix) as I've been poking around in those quite a bit lately too.

 

Edit: It could have been something more generic like an animobjects (usually called just "animobj") bug fix that would also then fix the giant clubs problem.

 

Edit again: Might be worth the time to read through the year-to-date changelog of Pandora versions.

I dont mean to be rude but, all I've go to go off of is that I can edit the gender of the creatures using xedit, but I have no clue how to do this, nor does it seem like the right solution, even by your own admission...I cant go digging around in the records for every horse in my game...I also have been unsuccessful as hell finding the files to fix for the giants club.

So lets get this straight:

1. You have a mod that adds female genitals to horses.
2. Because of the previously mentioned mod you discovered that most or all horses are female.
3. You're now trying to get a horse to boink your player character, but it's not starting a SL scene presumably because of the gender and there being no female horse animations involving a bipedal actor.

Did you know SL has this option somewhere in it's MCM:

$SSL_UseCreatureGender	Match Creature Genders
$SSL_UseCreatureGenderInfo	When enabled, SexLab will check if a creature is male or female and attempt to find only pick animations matching the creature gender's present.

 

The way I see this is that you got 2 options:

1. Disable this SL option, and the mod that's providing female genitals to horses. Let CF/MNC strap dongs to horses and pretend they're male even if the game records say otherwise. I imagine this is what most people do.
2. Enable it, and change the gender of all (or some) horses in the game so that you can get male horse animations.

If you keep gender matching on for creatures, then elk and deer will be your next problem. Then again, they may become a problem regardless, but that's a future thing.

Or the Creation Kit if you want a more traditional GUI. I was just suggesting an option that wouldn't require clicking through each horse manually in the CK. If you don't know xEdit or Pascal, doing it by hand in the CK is going to be faster.

I said that because if you're specifically trying to get horses to boink you then changing their gender is not necessary. I haven't done it, it works fine without it, but I also don't have a mod that's adding horse fannies.

 

I would assume the mod that's adding horse fannies would provide (or at least reference) a gender patch for horses; or perhaps it was added for "realism" and the mod author didn't mind or consider them all being female. If there is no patch then it seems the only logical approach to get mixed horse genders, dicks and fannies, would be to DIY as previously discussed.

Yeah that might be a challenge. Personally I would ignore the problem, at least for now. It only happens intermittently, and it has been happening since pre-LE Skyrim: this is a 10 year old problem. My point being the fix is either a decade old buried in some thread, it's a problem people don't care about enough to fix or it's very difficult to fix.

Had a look at the giants club issue and turns out the club is an actual item.

1. Open the console.
2. Select the giant.
3. unequipitem 461da

So my suspicion now is that the reason why it seems to stick around for some animations is beacuse of the ufo camera. When in ufo camera mode, no clothing item updates (etc) actually get rendered. In other words, while in ufo camera the club is going to remain equipped, even if it was unequipped.
