Sangoku25 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) 5 hours ago, Dam0nBaird said: I'll add to the above: the mod integrator isn't even in beta, it's in alpha. It's a miracle it works at all, and with any success. Also, as I wrote earlier, some people say the texture issue mostly affects owners of 8GB graphics cards. I'll also note that the mod integrator's page has clear instructions on the necessary graphics settings changes (disabling DLSS, etc.)—many ignore them. Also, as the owner of a 16GB graphics card, I have no way of knowing how the mod will perform on weaker hardware. I don't make mods for orders, but for myself. I'm not a professional programmer/modeler/artist—I have a regular job unrelated to PCs, and I simply share these mods with those who might enjoy them. I'm grateful to anyone who finds errors in the model or animation that I missed – I'll be happy to fix them if I can and share the results. However, some monitoring tricks are currently beyond my reach due to my limited modding skills – I don't yet know how to create stable and switchable textures using RabbitFX. Anyone can do this without having the mod's source code – all you need is my ini file (which you already have) and RabbitFX. If you succeed, you can teach me how, and I'll be happy to implement this feature in existing and future mods. I think there's a misunderstanding. I wasn't referring to you at all. It's about the people who charge money for things that are clearly not yet fully developed. You're doing a great job here. I'd like to emphasize that again; I think it's great that you're sharing your mods with us. The other one gives new rabbit fixes again. For me, the only important thing is that people stop complaining because neither the launcher nor anything else here is fully developed. Yes, it's annoying that some mods don't load properly. But usually it's because, as you described, they only have 16GB of RAM or too little VRAM. I have a 3060 RTX with 12GB of VRAM, and that's barely enough when it's running at full capacity. Plus, I have 32GB of RAM because of the memory leak. Let me emphasize that this is not ZZZ WUWA or anything like that. 16 gybt of RAM is just about enough. So that everyone understands Endfield mods uses minimum requirements graphics card with 12GB VRAM 32GB RAM Edited March 9 by Sangoku25 1

Affinché tutti capiscano Le mod di Endfield utilizzano requisiti minimi scheda grafica con 12 GB di VRAM 32 GB di RAM I understand what you wrote but the problem that often occurs is strange, different mods from the same author that have texture problems, some work and others don't, from the same author... others that don't use rabbit fx and work perfectly, while there are also those that have rabbit in the code but after a while they lose the textures, all this is strange, I personally can only praise and thank all those who work on the mods but it is undoubtedly not just a question of power or quantity of video memory, otherwise no mod would be suitable for those who do not reach the recommended threshold, including me

Sangoku25 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I'll include this here too, since people probably understand it more easily with a picture. Importantly, this happens after about 2-3 minutes in the game. And because of the memory leak If both of them get completely filled after a while, the game becomes unstable and then crashes. 3

I'm actually curious about this, as apparently only some people has memory leaks?, even after 1-2 hours of gameplay my ram usage is still pretty normal, I did get memory leak with some mods but simply removing them fixes the issue. He’s a bit shy, so I’m posting it on his behalf (≧◡≦) ♡ Here is his original message: I really like your mods and your open-source spirit. I've added stable texture code to your INI file, and the mod is currently running stably on my 8GB VRAM computer. You can compare the INI file with a text editor to understand how to use the stable texture feature. I used translation software, so please forgive any impoliteness. Here are some principles: Just like switching to a LOD model when the character is far away, Endfield also has two sets of texture resources on the high-precision model. When VRAM is insufficient, it dynamically switches to the lower-precision texture with a smaller file size. These two sets of texture resources have different hashes. If the hash detection for the lower-precision texture is not set in the INI file, applying the native texture directly to the mod's modeling will result in errors. There are currently about three ways to fix this: 1. Replace with more VRAM to avoid the game switching to low-precision textures during optimization; 2. Use RabbitFX's stable texture feature (examples are available on the GameBanana release page) to specify the texture resources to use before applying drawIndexedInstanced to frequently problematic components (skin, clothing, hair). This mainly involves specifying diffuse, normal, and lighting textures; for face makeup where only diffuse is modified, only this one resource needs to be specified; 3. Capture the hash of the low-precision texture and write it into the ini file. (This is also why some mods can run stably without using RabbitFX.) Hope this can help! And finally, special thanks to my friend Ao Saki for sharing this. Fluorita.rar

I'm currently working on this in my free time, having put other modding projects on hold. I already have a mod prototype with stable textures for Ember, and someone from the Discord channel agreed to take a look and point out any errors, but I can already see that the textures are loading much faster, even for me. The problem wasn't just creating stable textures, but also making it possible to switch between them—that's what took me a lot of time. I'll definitely check out your example, and if it turns out better, I'll use it. Thanks.
Dam0nBaird Posted March 10 Posted March 10 An updated version of Ember with stable textures. For those unfamiliar, you need EFMI RabbitFX. I can't verify whether this solves the texture issue, but textures have started loading faster even on my PC. If anyone downloads this, please let me know if it works or not, so I can decide whether or not to apply this feature to my other mods. Thanks Cr1mson9 after comparing the files I was able to find the error in mine Ember 1.2.rar 2

Is the glow issue by any chance related to the flickering of the translucent plates on her arms and armor skirt if Ember isn't playable? If so, I don't know how to fix it yet. It persists even if I remove the model from the game without modifying it and then insert it back as a mod. Or is there a different issue?
