It's really not as serious as he makes it out to be. The "first-person mod" is actually called the Endfield Enhancer Mod, and the first-person view is just one of its features. In reality, it's a mod packed with numerous powerful utility features. Many of its modifications are quite aggressive—it even uses workarounds to disable Endfield's anti-cheat system.

As things stand, out of all the mods available, the Endfield Enhancer Mod is the only one that has resulted in bans or warnings. Even another mod that includes a first-person feature (Endfield-Poser, which also directly modifies game files) hasn't had any issues so far. Naturally, the various character model mods based on 3DMigoto (which load dynamically without modifying game files) haven't had a single problem either.

Generally speaking, ban or warning waves like this aren't targeting a specific mod by name; rather, they are triggered when the game detects that certain sensitive core files have been tampered with. Because the Enhancer Mod includes some pretty aggressive features, we aren't sure exactly which modification crossed the line and triggered the bans/warnings.

As for Hui, his website wasn't just simply sharing mod files. It openly displayed a lot of explicit pornographic content (in ads and mod preview images), which is strictly prohibited under Chinese law. More importantly, he was even directly promoting VPNs to bypass the Great Firewall, which is a direct violation of Chinese law. While Hui's website certainly made things very convenient for us, from a legal standpoint, even without the whole "mod copyright infringement" issue, that alone was more than enough to get him a warning from the police.
