So i've started modding skyrim, and there are simply too many mods. I'm wondering if any of you guys had a mod overhaul collection that could be downloaded with a simple click of a button. I'm looking for mods that are supported on 1.59 SE version. Looking for primarily female protagonist, but down with anything. Cum, pregnancy, prostitution, defeat, overhauls, etc... you name it. This is also a place where others can place their collections.

Collections is a Nexus concept. I doubt LL would be interested in hosting my (relatively small) 255 GiB setup.

 

Also, there is no such version as 1.59 SE. You probably mean 1.5.97.0, which leads to the next question: Why build on an old version, when you're just getting started?

This is not the Playstation store. Skyrim modding is what used to be called hacking back before mainstream media changed it to meaning "smelly neckbeard stealing your money". Hacking (modding) is the insatiable need to know how things work, and the act of making stuff do things they weren't meant to do. You need to be a computer hacker to mod, or at least aspiring to be one.

 

The quick and easy way (i.e. Nexus collections) is going to give you a massive black box that you'll have no understanding of how it works. When things go wrong you'll be back on these forums with a question like "I installed a collection of 1500 mods, and now my character's dick is purple?" I realize the other option, which is to spend at least a year setting up your own thing, is not really appealing right now but tbh I have no other solution. What you see in those well made mod collections is the result of thousands of people working on a game they love for 15 years. You can't condense that down into a 1-click install.

The problem mentioned by @traison , it would be just a drop in the ocean. After that, what will you do? You will also have to deal with startup errors such as “DLL not compatible with the version of Skyrim in use.” Here you will need to remove/replace the mod and its dependencies.

The problems you risk with all-in-one packages are so numerous that you will ultimately regret downloading them and will have to start over from scratch.

 

The best solution:

 

1) follow an authoritative guide to Skyrim modding

2) Only install mods that you will actually use. Mods that are just pretty for the sake of it only serve to slow down the game.

Do you think that you are the only person since 2011 to ask that question?

Do you see anything on LL which suggests that such collections exist?

There actually was a mod pack with a installer a long time back for Skyrim LE. It was called Skyrim nude patch. It was that mod pack that started me down the rabbit hole that is modding.

You can get something going within a day or so if you know what you're doing; but as a beginner you need some insane luck if your first 15 or so characters don't end up failing part way into the main questline. Also learning MO2, NifSkope, DDS utilities, FNIS, DynDOLOD, xLodgen, xEdit and so on is going to take time.
