Even their TOS looks lifted from another site or LLM generated. There is references to fextralife and valnet in the source code of ggmods.com, but that doesn't mean anything.

 

I'm not saying I disagree with Toikka (reddit), what I am however saying is that "trust me bro" is not a valid reference. Lets not forget that the Nexus is in it for the money as well, they're not your friend. For all we know Toikka (reddit) could be a shill for nexusmods.com; sent because they see a by-modders-for-modders website biting into their bottom line. My advice would be to trust neither of these.

sorry if i'm missing something but what's the whole thing with trust here? it's just a website from where you download stuff right?
if you are worried you are tracked can't you just create new accounts/use VPNs/not give them your credit card or physical address?

 

also this website seems to have the same content as nexus. so again please let me know if I'm missing something here, I'm genuinely interested

I think the underlying issue in the original Reddit post was that another site comes around, and like you said rips the content from the Nexus. Then through ads (brainwashing) gets people to move over. Then follows the paywalls and oops there goes the modding community. Think Bethesda.net, paid mods and Creation Club. Look at what Epic Games Store tried (and failed) to do to Steam if you want the corporate big-boys version of this. It's not the first time a corporation has smelled money in big-titty mods and tried to destroy the community.

 

It would be relatively easy to overthrow the Nexus, but this ggmods copy-cat site I'm not worried about.

 

Edit: ggmods might be preparing to take over when the Nexus is eventually forced to age verify everyone in Europe. ggmods will look like the reasonable safe option then. Is this already a thing in the US? The UK is already in it, that's where they demo'd the thing. Not heard anything from the UK regarding this come to think of it, I wonder if I'm deliberately being kept in the dark since I'm currently in Europe.

I mean Nexus does that somewhat too, not that they get a free pass, only nowhere near as dirty as. Whatev though, none get anything from me except poisoned or unresponsive HTML queries and obfuscated one time addy's from a protected provider, or outright fake temp emails.

 

 

 

 

At least Ashal is above boards, and does not do this (appreciate that a lot btw). He being one of the very few resisting the urge to sell out to that sweet PII spying digital stalker tittie that has corrupted the majority of the web, and is breaking through into your real world lives in this very moment.

I see a number of well established modders on there like Coldsun and a number of texture guys (Kanjs, Xavbio, Tomatokillz, Riton). Also see wskeever on there.

So unless it is stolen content then it seems legit.

Also which sites beside Nexus allows hosting of monster 4K or 8K texture mods. Nobody.

 

LoversLab used to. Heck I had several GB's worth of previews, which in hindsight was totally unnecassary of me.


Reddit is "With all due respect" the dunghole of the Internet. Everything is a piece of garbage and WOKE according to them.


The site seems to the real thing and has a large Discord which I joined. Eventually I left again to minimize my Discord time.

If Nexus turns on us we will have a backup site. But until that I will still be on the Nexus downloading all the incredible mods coming out.

Sure, the Nexus pissed off plenty of people with their policies. Like I said it would be easy to overthrow the Nexus. You can also buy people. Then there's the question of visibility - easier to get your mod out if you're not competing with 20 other Serana replacers that released at the exact same moment.

I was talking about the integrity of modding. If a mod is not created from the love of the source material but rather some monetary incentive, then the soul of modding is lost. ggmods and the Nexus are just as likely to go "premium mods" on us; guilty until proven innocent if you ask me.

Hi, I have a question: the mod asked me to install “CrosshairRefEventsFix_v,” but SexLab doesn't recognize Racemenu, so I think that's why I'm having trouble opening the NPCs' vaginas and anuses—including the mouth, which I haven't tested yet. My mods are 3ba and CBPC. I also have a saved game; is there a way to continue it with SexLab+ and this mod? Finally, the option to go to bed, etc., has been removed—how do I get it back? And lastly, this is a great mod—it’s amazing that people make things like this.

I also have the “https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67370” preset. I've read a bit about troubleshooting, and it seems to have something to do with the size of the presets, but to be honest, I'm a bit lost; any help would be greatly appreciated right now.

CrosshairRefEventsFix has nothing to do with Racemenu as far as I know, nor does Racemenu have anything to do with PPA doing its thing. CrosshairRefEventsFix fixes a bug that freezes Papyrus threads that call a specific function. PPA moves nodes/bones and is thus more like NiOverride than Racemenu, even though those 2 things were merged but that's besides the point - you don't need Racemenu morphs for PPA.

While PPA contains a dll and could thus cause any issue imaginable (even outside the game), I doubt it managed to remove your ability to go to bed. This is more likely a perk, FURN record, mesh or DisablePlayerControls issue. Depending on what the CrosshairRefEventsFix mod is doing, I suppose that's also relevant here. It's supposed to be patching a Papyrus function, but who knows how it was implemented.

You have the option to edit it yourself in a very simple way, just check the TOML

I did (and there's even a setting to require holding shift before the hotkeys). The documentation seems to imply it should be on by default, but it's not.

I didn't want to take up a hotkey. Just open console and it wont actually quicksave. The quicksave functionality still works fine, it just reloads PPA's config too which is harmless.

i downloaded this mod to try and work very well ,but i have run into a problem: every time go into whiterun game crashes to desktop and yes i started a new game to be sure. If i go anywhere else it doesn't crash only whiterun so far.

You don't have a crash logger installed? A CTD in Whiterun could be a million things.

Female? Fingers are not considered penises by PPA, thus no noises from PPA.

You are implying that a penis mod will make You CTD in Whiterun.

It should have crashed in Riverwood then. Plenty of males in Riverwood and everywhere else.


More than likely it is caused by something else. As the fellow above said it could be a million things depending on your load order.

Got any mods modifying Whiterun. Like JK's mods or HyliosSykes mods. A missing patch could do it to. SE needs so many patches.

The only penis mod i have in my order is sos and ABC for creatures. As for whiterun i don't have any mods to change it this time around. Does Fill her up mod conflict with your mod? i saw one female with her stomach glitching outward for no reason while i was speaking with her. I'll install your logging mod if it helps i don't usually ad any since most times i forget and by the time i remember there a lot of junk files some where growing in my system

This is why I do not rely on PPA for expressions, phonemes or sounds. I fully realize that PPA has a better foundation for implementing expressions and sounds in the future, but until PPA is ready to replace literally EVERYTHING related on the Nexus and LL (to say nothing of the Asian communities) then PPA will always look inferior to someone. I'd personally prefer if PPA didn't mess with these 3rd party systems and instead focused on fixing things like Riekling Courser animations - focused on bending the dong and nothing else.

 

Then again, you shouldn't listen to me when it comes to things like this because I have custom made mods handling expression and sound systems - just because I'm snug as a bug does not mean everyone else is. Feature creep is still a very real and objectively proven danger.
