Gaybunner Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hi. I'm (obviously) enjoying this mod, but... Is it supposed to give the option to develop crush on infants?! Honestly, as much as I like this mod, it would be nice in general to be able to turn it off entirely for certain families. Other than that it works great and I'm having way too much fun with it.

Other than that it works great and I'm having way too much fun with it. Absolutely not intended. Someone reported a similar error to me yesterday and I realized that by error I had put species as OR instead of AND in the age appropiateness test set I use to prevent that in super interactions. I updated the mod last night for it to try to fix it. When did you download it? Can you try to download it again to see if it persists? Please let me know whether it does, if you can Edited February 16 by HalfVampireDoughnut
Gaybunner Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I just downloaded the latest version and unfortunately it's still a thing.

When I click on the infant with either parent there's the "Incest" category, which gives "Actions" and that gives "Enable discovery" (or something like it) and "Develop incestuous crush on [baby's name]". It also comes up if I click on the parent with the infant (but with said parent's name of course). None in this household has the Incest trait nor is the Family relations enabled in the WW options.

With Sim Info Manager the test shwed as not passing as well. I'm going to try reuploading the mod, maybe it was an upload issue, since I can't think of anything else Edit: Uploaded. So I don't have a handy example for the "covertly ask to teach about sex" interaction, but I did just run into this one: This sim has no family and he just recently met this person and has no romantic history with her, but these are the incest options shown. Which is confusing because with other sims who do have family (and previously had engaged in incest with the family member) they do not have anything except opinions and morality regardless of relationship levels. I hadn't done a lot with the mod before the recent updates happened, was just getting into it, so I can't be sure if it's something I'm messing up interaction-wise (I've already checked my mod folders and updates) or if it's related to the new updates... Alright, if those sims are not related, what you're telling me suggests that tests for interactions meant between family members are passing when they shouldn't. I have had a couple of people tell me they have had a similar issue with things appearing for unrelated sims after I updated the family tests with relbits added in recent patches. However, I have not been able to replicate it, which means that it's probably a difference in the game context in which the mod is being run. What game version are you on? 1

hsjfowhruo Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Hi! So I've tried removing literally everything except the things required for the mod and the mod itself but I still have a lot of issues... Btw, I hope I don't come across demanding or anything with this post, just want to share a few things I've been having issues with and a few suggestions One of the issues I'm having being the same as a few other people here with unrelated sims getting options for many interactions (full-on with the sub-categories under incest like the "mentorship" one, "relationship", etc.) as if they were related and engaging in incest. I've only seen/tested and had this issue with spouses, don't know about other unrelated sims. I've noticed that after they, spouses, interact and/or have sex, they get the same moodlets as if they were related and also automatically get the incest trait. I've tried to manually remove the trait, but they just keep appearing when they (again, spouses) are romantic and/or have sex again. Another issue is that sims will never confess to being in a relationship, or that something is "going on", when parents ask if there is something (incestious) going on even if the sim being asked has the incest-traits that (for me previously) would admit to it. Again, this is in regards to the parents asking if something is going on after witnessing them flirting or something, not when catching them having sex. Another issue is that a lot of buffs still don't last longer than just basically just flashing and then disappearing, or just straight up wont get triggered at all. Mainly the ones relating to being caught or catching their teens in the act, but also a lot of others. Here are a *few* of the ones I've managed to catch: "Please, please don't suspect anything!", "Oh, this is happening" (not sure if this one's intended to only last during sex and that's why it doesn't have a time set and dissappears when they stop?), "Why is my child acting like that?!, "What!" (angry, from witnessing an incestious interaction between ___ relatives), "Caught red-handed" (plus that it comes up even when no one is around, for example the two sims in question were downstairs while the rest of the family was upstairs sleeping), "Not what it looks like!", "Please no!". Again, I've tried to collect some to show some examples, but unfortunately there are more that I simply could not catch due to them all literally flashing by Another two are that "Express support" shows up as option even though the sims is negative towards incest, and also that the "incest" pie menu sometimes disappers for incestious sims that are in a relationship (romantic partners) after a while? Finally, maybe not an "issue", but a suggestion kind of? I figured out that the reason I basically never got any interactions relating to parents catching their teens in the act was because I think the angry moodlets they get when catching them having sex has to be the strongest moodlets they have in order for the interactions to show up. But for me that means I have to go in and delete basically all other moodlets they have since the angry ones get overtaken pretty easily by a couple positive ones. I don't know if there is anything to do about this, but I thought I should mention it while I'm already here lol.

I will look into what you're telling me and get back to you on it. But right now I will try to focus on the bug where unrelated sims are getting buffs and inteactions meant for family, as it's the worst one, to keep this manageable for myself. (Though, on the buffs disappearing, I will say, unless they are disappearing even in the presence of the sims they're reacting to, that's what broadcast related buffs do: they only appear in the presence of those with the broadcaster and they go away when the sims are apart. Though I can see adding buffs with duration as well being something that can be preferable in some cases.) Can you give me more details on your game so I can try to gleam a pattern as to why some people are having this issue but I can't seem to replicate it? Game version (though it seems to happen in updated games too), whether it was an old or new save, and which DLC you have installed. If I'm honest I'm having a hard time thinking of many other factors given you tested it on its own. Given it started happening to people recently and the only thing I changed that could cause this in an obvious way is changing the tests (but you never know with modding), I can only think it could be related to the new DLC (I don't have it installed in my game) or even another one, even though I have no idea how it could possibly interfere with those tests; or a case of specific saves. Can you try on a new save? Edited February 18 by HalfVampireDoughnut

HalfVampireDoughnut Posted February 18 Author Posted February 18 (edited) I want to make sure of something regarding the error where sims get interaction meant for family members (such as "enable discovery", "develop incestuous crush", etc.), or get incest-related buffs (such as being ashamed when being romantic), while being unrelated: Is anyone not getting it? I'm trying to figure out if this is a universal error and it's only me that can't replicate it, or if it's a product of specific circumstances. In any case, whether or not they are getting it, if anyone wants to tell me whether they are, and any details about their game theycan think of; it is very much appreciated. Things like: Game version (Doesn't seem to be the factor), DLCs installed, Mods (Doesn't seem to be the factor), kind of save, whether it happens in all saves, or anything you can think of I'm missing. Thank you all for your patience <3. Edited February 18 by HalfVampireDoughnut 1
Lainey Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I noticed what you put about Forbidden Fruits mod, I'm just wondering if you are aware that it appears Forbidden Fruits is getting abandoned (based on what the creator has posted)? With that in mind, I'm wondering if you'd consider expanding your mod to fill the gap this mod would leave? There were some great ideas on this mod that never came to be.

Thank you all for your patience <3. I've just popped into my game to check this out and the save I tried the wife was having incest related options like "enable discovery" etc for her husband. No blood relation. Doesn't appear to be available for either husband or wife to their teen daughter. Haven't tried other saves yet so will get back to you with that but this is a fairly new save (post update save) don't know if that is a factor or not. As far as I can see, I have the mods required for this one to work and been through my mods last night to check if they were all working (still have a few on the "unknown list" on mod checkers). Not sure what details about the save would be relevant to know to be helpful. Once I've checked out other saves I'll edit this with update. Edit: Correction. The save I tried was originally created just before the update (11th) but has been played and saved last on 17th. Just tried a different save which is a "vanilla" save so normally played with no mods and didn't have that issue. That was created before update and last played and saved on the 10th. Both saves were of the same family but one with mods the other originally without. Just went into another save where 3 adult sisters live together and were already using incest social interactions with each other and one had just adopted a teenage son. The sisters can still interact incestially, only option with the adopted son is to ask opinion on incest. I had only just got him before last save so no idea how this works in an adoption scenario. That was saved in January. I have many other saves but hopefully these different style of saves give an idea? Edited February 18 by Lainey
