raynark Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So Hey there guys I've been looking through all the stuff and nothing helping me. So I'm have a issue with Sg female texture renewal the actually face that comes with it is show a neck seam and I can't figure out how to fix it its actually pretty noticeable. Well I get some pictures up in a minute so you guys can check it out and tell me whats going on
Dagimpyman Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Without having looked at any pictures: sometimes a seam can be caused by the meshes, for example the head mesh and the body mesh, when they have different values in their bslightingshaderproperty (exactly which values these could be, I do not know). The most easy way to deal with this is using texture blender (versions for UNP and CBBE are up on Nexus). You can even edit the blend textures that come with it to more closely align with the color scheme of SG Renewal; that way you will barely notice it.
RezTheFatal Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Are you using the SG female textures body or just the head textures? Using the head textures without the matching body textures is guaranteed to cause a seam.
raynark Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I'm using Both the head and body textures. the head mesh and the body mesh I'm not sure I'm using Rans head b with the Unpb body also combining it was the kawaii face. As for the texture blender it won't read anything well of my textures so ya. It says to move it out of program files x86 So it can read it but thats where my steam is and all so I don't really wanna move my game just to get it to work
raynark Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I'm new to the unpb body I used to use Cbbe but then I got a liking for the unpb. However I noticed the neck seam is easier to see and notice on the unpb then when i was using the cbbe it was even there when I used the cbbe body
Dagimpyman Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 As far as I know, you don't need to have texture blender in the same directory as your Skyrim installation...on my computer, texture blender is in User/Downloads, and it works perfectly well.
raynark Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Skyrim the game itself can not be in that folder or so thats what the texture blender says
gvman3670 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 That's a color difference there. Probably because you're using multiple textures? If so then be sure of the order you're loading them as the last one loaded overwrites the previous ones. You could manually install the layers you want as this can help get rid of that. If this was a mesh issue you'd see a gap that you could see through, and this can be checked for by going into character creation and turning the weight all the way down. If you turn the weight down on the UNP body and see a gap it's a problem with the mess (I've seen this on the UNP base body myself).
Deedlit Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 remove all your textures and replace again with sg ones, do that by hand, avoid using nexus mod manager, because sometimes that let some files there.
raynark Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 I had to do a fresh install of skyrim anyways so I did what you guys said still had neck seam I think it might be the type of unpb body I'm using I'm not using the redux one I'm using trouble makers As i didn't install troublemakers textures and still got a neck seam problem also using a different skeleton then what he provided so i think thats the problem
raynark Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Well still can't figure it out so I went bald to see if I can see more and I found this at the back of the head if anyone knows what this is can you let me know how to fix it. This might be the problem to everything well I hope it is just to let you all know now I deleted everything meshes textures all that stuff so I'm still trying to figure out the problem also no need to ask for mod order and I have found some black lines by the neck so it might be something screwy with the meshes I'm not sure.
gvman3670 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That looks like two different textures or something. Odd.
Rayblue Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I suspect that your character's head mesh might be the problem. I had this issue while using the texture until I solved it by picking up Ran46's headmeshes.
raynark Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Ya so I'll check with ran and see what happens
raynark Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Well used ran's head mesh when wearing hair the neck seam is more subtle now barely noticeable unless you're bald you can set it at the back of the head so short hairstyles and bald people still have the issue though as the neck seam is very noticeable in the back also lighting shows it very well the neck seam so I think thats as for is its going to go. Also do you think it might be something with vanilla game.
raynark Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Still there trying to figure how to fix the back of the head
raynark Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Found something new out Its not a texture issue but a mesh issue for some weird reason my meshes are bugging it so either skyrim is not reading the meshes installed and is applying vanilla to it or the meshes just don't like my body
Guest Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Hmm, didn't hellosanta say that his skin is not perfect, and there is neckseam in certain lighting conditions?
winny257 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 'll try this it could be the fault. Dry Skin by Svarog http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31782/?
gvman3670 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 You're using a non-UNPB head mesh, right? (In your pics you can see the angular chin and UNP heads don't have that.) And maybe a custom race? Either of those would cause then head textures to not work perfectly.
raynark Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Not sure It might be loading up Vanila unless ran's is not a unpb head mesh. Troublemaker and unpb redux do not come with a head mesh just the textures so the head stays vanila. Skyrim itself is ignoring everything but the body its loading vanila assets to hands feet and head but for some weird reason and not crashing trying to maybe load two head meshes the first picture with the character in white is using rans thats the head mesh I reinstalled and my character came out the same the other I think was vanila just a test to see something neck seam showed and the back of the head was fixed installed rans head mesh again the last picture was with ran's and the back problem showed again. I don't think its a texture issue but a mesh issue. Now that you guys have helped me troubleshoot I'm pretty sure its a mesh problem
raynark Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 How ever would anyone know how to fix this mesh problem it would be nice to know
gvman3670 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I would start by using the right head? I've personally never seen that before and I always use UNP, UNPB, UNP Skinny or UNPetite. The only time I get a seam or gap at the neck/wrists is when using the body I am currently using. And that's only because it's an experimental base UNP with TBBP. Once I put any clothing on the gaps disappear (but they are barely noticeable to begin with). Maybe you should just try a different version of the body? Which version are you using exactly?
gvman3670 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Is this the body you're using? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37900/? If not I's suggest trying it. I never got a seam while using it.
raynark Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 I'm using the latest body with unpb troublemakers 2.1.7 tbbp which comes with every mesh. Which head mesh would I need to use I'm guessing ran is not compatible with unp. Also the other mesh issues are for the hands and feet. I did also try that body and got a neck seam issue also with feet and hands. I checked in the skyrim folder to see if the meshes are installed which they are but oddly and for some weird reason skyrim just loads the vanilla hand and feet meshes Here a example of the vanila hands being loaded
