spike78964 Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 I'm really dumb, and I'm struggling to navigate the website and download and use the mods I actually want to, I've looked on online for tutorials but can't find anything. I just want to add some mods to my fallout NV playthru, I've used FFMO and vortex and stuff like that before, so I'm not new modding. I'm just really confused by this website, and how these mods actually installedÂ

I'm just really confused by this website, and how these mods actually installed First off FNV mods are archaic and most don't work there is hardly anyone offering support for FNV or FO3. A few mods for FNV work but you will find it extremely frustrating and the few that do still have Archive invalidate problems. (No one does lovers playthroughs of FVN or FO3) however FO3 has a few NSFW nexus mods that still work but no one ever got FO3 sexout to work except the original mod dev who tried to convert it from FNV. I got the NV mods working back in 2017 but in 2022 NVSE was too new for whats on loverslab. NVSE has had many updates over the years and NV adult mods just haven't kept up. NCRCF worked pretty well but I could get other mods to work or if they did work my bodies were invisible from Archive invalidate not being effective 1/2 the time.  All the other Bethesda games have consistently working sex frameworks and viable even thriving adult mods eco system, including 2006 Oblivion which has some of the best adult mods on the whole site. But FNV and FO3 just have not had devs maintain them like the other games.  As for the loverslab site each mod has a download page and a support page. The download page will have two buttons on the bottom one says "download file(s)" the other says "get support" which takes you to the mod's support page. The support page has no mod pictures at the top unlike the download page, but has the same description as the download page. The support page also has a thread for questions, comments, bug reports, and other troubleshooting.  The best way to search for mods is to go to a game, click on a mod (any mod). Make sure you are on the download page not the support page. Then on the download page at the top you will see a website page directory path. Click the name of the game. So for instance if I wanted a Skyrim SE mod, I would click Skyrim SE downloads. Then it will take you to a directory page which has all the mod download pages presented in order of most recently updated with the main loverslab framework itself pined to the top of the first directory page. This is the best way to search for mods is to browse the directory and also open tabs for all the mods dependancies as you go.  There is a directory for the support pages too but they are less useful especially for a newbie.  The search engine on the site absolutely sucks you can type the exact name of a mod and not have it come up in results. 3

You need to look on YT to find vids on how to use a mod manager, install mods, etc. Look for GamerPoets. (I think they do FO.) Edited December 7, 2025 by Grey Cloud

According to your profile, you registered here more than 5 years ago. BDNelson Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Well, this site is for a sexually based questions\answers\and modding of certain video games. The games are listed in the "Downloads" section via the "tab" at the top of the home page. It's just that simple. There are rules you have to follow, hopefully you won't piss anyone off like I have in the past. LOLOL! Sorry guys\gals. 1

I tried it 5 times on my last attempt, it worked fine in 2017/2018 but not in 2023. I even used different methods. Almost all the mods were buggy and invisible bodies for NV. Didn't have that problem in 2017. You are technically right its an installation problem, the problem being so much stuff is too old and not maintained properly.Â

It's a 'this game isn't the most functional' problem. Hell, I remember a time when you couldn't even walk from Goodsprings to Nipton without the game crashing at least once. Thankfully, there are now mods that fix that problem.  BGS didn't give Obsidian the time they needed to make it run properly; Then BGS gave Obsidian the shaft (instead of the bonus pay), over a 1 point Metascore discrepancy. So yeah, New Vegas, and Obsidian, was/is/are kinda treated like the proverbial 'red headed step-child' that BGS never wanted. 1

Mods or none, I still cant get FNV to run for more then five minutes before crashing. I use all the right mods, crash. No mods, crash. It worked perfect on Windows 7 for me. Windows 10/11 though? Not at all for me regardless of what I do. So yeah, great game. But not really a mod problem.

Ye I tried using loverslab in the past but got frustrated and gave up then just kinda wasn't bothered with these type of mods, but I've finally decided to actually try as said it's just a little different to stuff I've used in the past. I can't remember the last time I installed a mod manually and often in page guides don't make sense, like a xcom mod saying to copy the files in to your xcomgame/modfolder that could mean my alt launcher, my workshop folder, or the xcom game folder where the exe is intalled. Not using a mod manger is something I haven't done very often.

I understand it's no different to any other type of modding, but often other modding services have a prebuilt mod manger that handle all the hard work.Â

QuimSoggyBum Posted April 9 Posted April 9 This isn't a mod platform is it? I thought it was more of a community of modders and people that like this content so we can show off our work? or am I confusing things, because modding platforms have to vet everything and make sure there tools are working on all OS's that tool will be used on. Also modding a game had to start somewhere, there are games here that don't have support for mods but modders made that possible.
