Nightwish Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 My favorite mods... hmm let me think: Interesting NPCs - the living flavor it adds into Skyrim is immense, beats Bethesda's NPCs by a whole marging. Vurt's Flora Overhaul - I like forest areas and this mod does the job for me. Immersive Armors - mostly great lore friendly armors and that is what I like, being in huge numbers also help. Climates of Tamriel - awesome alternative to ENB, there is no performance loss. UNP/B - the day I replaced CBBE felt so nice, not to mention UNP is more supported in terms of armors. Not many, but those are my favorites. I strive for lore friendly in my game.
Redflyingmonkey Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 For me it's definitely : Interesting NPCs first, it's the core of any installation I make. Can't play Skyrim without it, and at the same time I hate it for turning all the vanilla NPCs into walking clutter ... Then Sevenbase and/or Bodyslide. Can't decide between them, 7base is really really close to what I like in a girl's body (except for the boobies), Bodyslide has the PSB body and I can make the boobies I like (except the rest of the 7base body). It may be for the best that I can't make the dream body I want though, if I did I'd stay all day in front of my computer drooling like a savage and my girlfriend would leave me... Sexlab too and a lot of sexlab mods, Ashal did such a nice work to make them all work (almost) perfectly well together Frostfall, really cool and a beauty in it's concept and making, it's the most solid mod bug wise of this kind out there in the Nexus I believe. Dragonkiller cart and Dev Azeva, as soon as I got it I locked the "forbid fast travel" option in Frostfall. Can't go anywhere if it's not in a cart or a flying ship. And a lot of other mods too, basically the kind of stuff that makes you able to "do stuff" in Skyrim, I hate whatever replaces vanilla except for SkyRe. I just want everything that adds people/structures/functionality to the game without taking anything away and replacing it. In short, it feels good to know that if I want to travel the world in a cart dressed in some fur armor barely hiding my pregnant belly with some actually interesting companions loaded in the back and one of them being maybe the father (oh god I hope it's not the minotaur), I can.
Jexsam Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Ethereal Elven Overhaul Why would this get up my nose? EEO is the only elf beautification mod worth a damn. I mean srsly, look at those male Dark Elves. Regal as fuck, looking like they're straight out of Morrowind. It's not so much elf beautification that I'm against (EEO + ridge-intact Coverwomen normals). Mostly it's just this nonsense that irks me.
Kodiak Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Top 3: Deadly Dragons (with all associated add-on mods) Apachii Hair Race Menu There are obviously body mods and other mods that make the game visually more appealing like ENB and HDT, but I'd give them up if I had too. Body mods I won't list since they change too often. Aside from Race Menu, which is a new addition for me since I returned to Skyrim, I've been using Deadly Dragons and Apachii hair since they day of their release and have never turned them off. That is what makes a mod a favorite.

I could go on and on why I dislike seeing those, but in the end I frankly don't care. As long as it's not in my games it does not affect me. ------------------------------------------------------------- Back to topic. My favorite mods: Interesting NPCs > A single dude owns a team of developers at storyline and writing. No kill moves > You got it, I don't like fancy OMG LOOK AT DAT HOW KEWL IT LOOKS moves. I play this game for combat and adventure not to look how a thing dies the same way 100 times + interrupting the game. Realistic Needs and Diseases > I like extra survival touch, also made me play FNV hardcore setting and love it. Immersive Armors > Warchief Armor, that is all. SkyUI > Essential for me in taking out that crappy ass console look. Too bad it can't fix the dumbing down as well, hey that's what other mods are for. Hotkey Casting > Can bind any spell to most keys, and being able to cast with weapons or shields out making the lackluster combat far more entertaining. Oblivion style, yay! And a shitload of mod combination made into a single .esp by me, among other gameplay changes and tweaks I did. I can't play the game without my way of seeing it.
Guest kimbale Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Proper Aiming. I play in 3rd person 95% of the time and the vanilla aiming drives me so mad.... Everything else i overhaul by character, even ENB presets and all that jazz.

Jexsam Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 She looks featureless. Other than her warpaint, her face is just... round. No ridges, no cheekbones, no chin. She lacks any and all of the facial angles that set mer apart from men. The only elven thing about her is her ears. Her eyes look purple, which irks me, but I have to give a pass because it's not technically impossible in-universe. Also she has no eyebrows, which makes her look weird. I do like that her makeup is minimal - good call. Overall that face would much better suit a Breton, who tend to be a bit soft and doughy compared to other races.
srayesmanll Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Back on track... Most people have covered a lot of the mods. Some of the ones I haven't seen on the thread: ADEC and all of the Acdale versions of ADEC armors SOS (yes I know it's listed here on a couple of lists, but if I list the female body mod, I should list the male as well ) Become a bard - makes the bards college actually useful (available on steam workshop, but has a direct link to files so no subscribing to the mod) Throwing Weapons Redux (there is a older version by the same author that has a couple funky weapons, but this one is cleaner) Craftable and Placeable Havok-enabled Bedrolls Camping Lite Sabre Gear Backpack Bandolier - Bags and Pouches Heart of the Beast (werewolf textures - seems to work with the newer SOS that added werewolf schlongs) Werewolf Mastery the "Sexy" series of texture improvements for cities (Sexy Whiterun, Sexy Villages, Sexy Boats, etc)
gvman3670 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I almost always use.... Sexy Vanilla Armor Replacer for UNP and 7B... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34160/? UNP or UNPB (with TBBP) or occasionally UNP Skinny Skyrim Beautiful Followers... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37861/? Change Vanilla NPCs... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13746/? Apachii hairs and SG hairs A Little Sexy Armor Replacer... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5564/? Fem Feet... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37022/? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are many, many other mods that I use often, although not on every play through so I can't possibly name them all. Also, I play on a rather low powered machine. So there are several mods that help me maintain a playable game even if it isn't as pretty as it could be. Like... Remove Interior Fog... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29253/? Project Skyrim Optimization... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32505/? Vanilla Reduced Textures... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14504/? Ordenator... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/? And of course there are many machine tweaks to make this game more playable for lower powered computers, but there are too many, and most are too in depth, to list here realistically.
Gnowmickly Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 If I must choose 5 most favorite mods other than must have mods like SKyUI, XP32, Fus Ro D-oh & all the nsfw mods from lovers lab etc., I would choose: 1. Lovergirl 2. Kankaraya 3. The Field Lab 4. Smart Cast 5. Kace Auto Loot
