- Scenario?

Concrete Jungle > Island

However: A concrete jungle done well can be amazing (fallout 3), but not done well, it's "just another map" at best, and boring at worst. A jungle could potentially be an "easier to get 'good enough'" scenario, if not as compelling a base idea.

- Engine?

No idea.

- Art Style?

Not Bone Town. Fuck Bone Town. Not Bone Town. Fuck that horrible looking, piece of shit "LOL IT'S SEX" game...

As for the whole genders being able to engage in certain sex acts thing, any option planned for that to be a toggle? It's perfectly acceptable that you have a certain vision for your game and don't want to so readily compromise it, so it's perfectly fine if you say no. But to be able to essentially configure it to where it was "breeding" rape zombies as opposed to "horny" rape zombies would be a lot better for me. :P

Great concept, this sounds like it has a lot of promise!

My input:

1. Scenario:

It's hard for me to choose. The concrete jungle is a classic location for a zombie survival game, and when crafted well, can make for an excellent experience; but it can fall under the "bore trap" like Nonsense said. An island setting is kind of appealing as well. The whole natural survival element coupled with zombie survival mixed in could be really fun. I guess my vote will go to the island for the first scenario. But the concrete jungle would make for a great setting for a future scenario.

2. Engine:

No preference. I'd say go with whatever engine you and your team are most confident with.

3. Art Style:

I'll say no to a Bonetown-esque setting. It seems a bit too cartoonish and goofy for the zombie survival genre. Same thing goes for the mincraft style of graphics. Voxel games are fine, it's just that minecraft's graphics are pretty terrible, and the animation quality is so poor it would ruin the sex aspect, along with general gameplay. Since this is a survival horror with some heavy adult themes, I'd stick with an art style that compliments or enhances that aspect.

It sounds like a amazing game, i realy hope you make it.

And as for engine for game making i guess ill try to recomend some.

Allthough i dont know too much about engines and programing, i would still recmomend a few based on my experiences with games.

Take note that these could be in fact a terrible choices so take care in what you read from this.

Dunia engine-

"Far Cry 2", was made in this engine and i think it would be able to give the players most amazing feeling of huge open spaces, survival and such, now i dont know about custom animations, diseases logs and such things  that would be requried for game such as "Necro world", but from what i have seen in "Outlast" they did quite a good job at first person view, movement animations and such things so if you were to check on how easy it realy is to use it and what all can be done with it it just might be a good chosie.

Unreal engine 3-

As it was used on many games of different genre and it seem quite easy to use it may be good ide to see if you could make the game with it

Cry engine 3-

seem like a good choise but a bit to complicated and too heavy on the requriments so im not too sure about this one.

Source engine-

Since many people use it i guess it is worth checking out, ehh ?

Creation Engine

It is Bethesdas engine but seems lika a bitch to work with, however since there is a whole bunch of mods for both fallout and skyrim it may not be a bad choice too, but from what i know (which is very little ) its a terrible engine for game making.

Yea and i just saw your choice of engines  and i aggree that its better for you to go with what you want just like -The Mad god- said.

And for Art style, i would also say no to bonetown and minecraft.

The below is just my opinion not looking to step on anyones toes.

This is an amazing idea BUT from someone who has tried to turn his text mud into a graphical game, the licensing of engines etc the cost and artist fees for just a single female body with the abilities of clothing of single layer on oblivion, you may want to kick start it.

On the other hand the idea of using the creation kit, if you forgo the $ which is the only thing stopping you from using the oblivion/skyrim/fallout nv engine and do a full conversion which there is a few out there, you get a base engine that lets face it with all the steam sales everyone in the world who wants to play this thing already has those games.

Look at something like Nehrim to see how different a full conversion can be.

If you have reliable volunteers who will work for free then you are luckier than I was, I worked out a budget  of £50,000 if I wanted to get my game into alpha within a year with assets sound and visual and that was before the license of the engine was paid for.

This seems a really good idea I would go skyrim engine + sexlab+ modern firearms mods + custom world  stuff.

I am trying to remember where I saw a modern town mod for skyrim, don't have the link still but it showed what is possible.

I'm not a realistic fanatic like those ARMA fans. But even I have preferences on the art direction. But if I do more along FO and TES it'd take all the longer to develop. By the time you got it, I'd be in my 50s and most LL members who see this may have passed on.

Seriously though, I don't think the desire is so much for "ZOMG IT MUST BE AS HYPER-PHOTO-REALISTIC-HIGH QUALITY AS POSSIBLE" as it's just a desire not to have a "goofy," "cartoon" look, like Bonetown. For example, "Unforbidden" is being made in the unity engine, and just has a "low quality," basic female model. That model, honestly, is perfectly fine. Do I think that face looks the greatest? Not really. But I'd much prefer that look as opposed to the "wacky" cartoons of a lot of "money-made" western porn games, e.i. games made by companies wanting to make money, not people just making an adult game on the side, as a project, or something. (For another example of the "wacky" look, think of a lot of the pay-site flash games, like that crappy "pornholio-U" game series, or whatever it is. (Though it is not too-far into the "wacky" side of things... but it still has "that look."))

But as always, the look is ultimately up to you.

IMO for the art style, you should opt for a semi-cartoonish look. Think Diablo 3 or Kingdoms of Amalur - fully capable of looking mature and gritty but not at all exclusive of some occasional color and camp.

Just please anything but Starbound/Minecraft. I love those games' aesthetics but it wouldn't jive at all with the ideas put forth here.

Would switching to another engine work without causing every progress to get lost so you have to start all over again?

What engine would you suggest? I will NEVER do Unreal and Source would be WAY too limited.

Unity was the best shot, but the damn player controller causes constant crashing and no one seems to give a damn to help.

Have you tried contacting the company which made Unity? I'm sure they can help you out.

I am too unfamiliar with the existing engines and only worked with one so far (but this game idea is too good for an RPG Maker game :D), so unfortunately I can't help you out.

But Arc has a point, the developers should know how to fix it or at least should be interested to find a solution.
