DogOnPorch Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 @DogOnPorch  You found a place to watch it (Threads.) Good for you.  Yup' date=' it's public domain along with such greats as this:  Night of the Living Dead Â
Guest Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I just had the pleasure, or mispleasure of watching Shindler's List by Spielberg. It's about this factory owner in poland and takes place during the Holocaust. God damn it that movie was brutal. And I mean that in a "good" way. It was a masterpiece in how it re-enacted the holocaust, but it was extremely hard to watch at times because of how uncensored it is. There is intense graphic violence (that's probably why it's filmed in black and white though). It left me in tears
thesapien Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I just cried watching The Man From Nowhere (2010, South Korea), and I saw it without any English subbing. Though I don't speak any Korean, it's now one of my current favs. From what I could tell, the plot is kind of like The Professional/Leon meets Kiss of the Dragon, (two great Luc Besson films) but more brutal and shocking towards the end than either film. It starts out kind of meh but builds and builds... Â
Mailamea Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 For me Shindler's List and Ghandi both very powerfull and moving. Damn how i love Liam Nesson. Taken anyone? Lol
Ark of Truth Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Taken was a great movie but I wouldn't call it the best one I have seen for powerful moving.
Ashal Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I'm shocked nobody has mentioned the movie "Grave of the Fireflies" Â I get depressingly sad just remembering that movie exists.
ljacquard Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Definitely the saddest movie I've ever watched, I agree. Â Make sure you don't feel down, alone and/or losing faith in humanity at the time you're watching.
Guest Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I watched "Night and Fog" recently. While short, it was a very powerful film.
