I do agree though that the characters' gloves and shoes add a lot to their designs like it's their signature apparel, so having them gone makes them look weird than it'd be sexy or cute. Amy's bare hands for example would look like slightly shorter gloves recoloured to resemble her skin colour which I don't think would look appealing and canonically, her feet are just blobs. Alternatively, some people might put humanoid feet on these characters but those look even weirder on them. Pawed feet would be more fitting in my opinion.

"If the character looks like entirely different person without their defining wardrobes and goes fully natural, how does that 'entirely different person' look? Can you still love them like that?" is how I think when I make myself a nude mod, so I'm with an idea of having au naturel as an option.

Sometime ago I have made and uploaded the mod of Senran kagura that removes the characters' head accessories (as far as I could) since no one else have actually contributed to that idea.

 

Even more weirdly than the idea of barefeet, while I prefer the canon-accurate body proportions, I also prefer the look of barbie doll nudity. It works like a "canvas" of the body without nipples and genitals where you can then add a clothes onto it. And barbie doll nudity is basically the furthest the official model's 'nudity' can go without making it Mature in games or get banned in Japanese games.

My guess to myself is that I'm more into the body silhouette and skin textures rather than how sexy the nipples look? So I think I'll be using SFW variation of the mod for this game if I get to play it, I didn't even bought one.

 

As for the proportion of the canon body that's on the table, it's no doubt their feet are "blobs" (Thanks Big and Tikal), and we can establish their bare hands are close to humans'/gloves' shape (Thanks Sticks and Darkspine Sonic). I personally think making their feet (and/or hands) paws is trying to fix what isn't broken.

Myself when it comes to fully nude Sonic characters to me it looks kinda... Off? Except for mabye like Rouge and Amy (but even then the two nude looks better with the shoes and gloves still on to me anyway ^^') thats my thoughts on it.

Did you know it's Amy Rose's birthday today?

There's never been a better way to celebrate her birthday than to have her appropriately race in her birthday suit!

 

It turns out the rival version of her in Race Park uses a different but virtually identical model.

I might update the Nude Amy Pack so the rival (AI Racer) is naked as well, along with updated upskirt variations.

 

Edit: You know those circular things that these rivals have on their chests? I got a better idea for nude Amy.

They'll work, can only be seen by you, and the servers won't detect anything. It's all safe.

I replaced the Rival Racer version of Amy but it turns out it's not as simple as I thought.

There shouldn't be this much cyber effect on her body, especially compared to her head (and also Big the Cat).

Apparently, rivals utilises a vertex colour attribute of their models to produce this effect instead of using a texture mask which would've made my job easy.

Every single vertex has its own attribute value which would be incredibly hard and time-consuming to accurately replicate the values on my nude models.

There's probably a way to transfer the attribute values from the original model to my own models but I don't really know how because it involves using geometry nodes which is a whole can of worms to learn about in Blender.

 

What I could probably do is merge parts of the original model (limbs) containing the attribute values with my nude models and then I just try to fill out the rest (on the torso). It's horribly tedious when you consider that I have to do this for several variations of my nude model.

Well, it was fun while it lasted but Nude Amy Pack has been removed on Nexus and I know a certain puritanical twat who's been harassing me from the comment section who would've reported it while everyone else didn't care but rather they're grateful of my work. Like big fucking deal, it's a stylised cartoon animal character that even Nexus has been hosting the nude mod of for Sonic Frontiers to this day. Oh well. I recall it had like 3K views, 300+ downloads, and 30+ comments.

Though it seems like the Open Network Test is finishing up so you might not even able to use these mods until the game fully releases next month. Mods that remove pride/LGBTQ+ elements and changing ethnicity or replacing non-white characters is not remotely the same thing as nude mods that just makes fictional cartoon (animal) characters naked. not to turn the thread into a rant but absolutely i agree. people really try to co opt the anti censorship stance only to immediately heel turn when freedom of expression is used by queer people, fat people, black people, women etc. unfortunately theres no site with decent moderation when it comes to bigotry especially ones for nude mods

I agree with this. I don't mind a more anthro style for Sonic characters (I actually prefer it, if its done tastefully) but I do just prefer them to keep their natural body types for the most part for the games.
