Here it is, requesting to port these assets to the game, includes over 12 new title screens, and a complete new render pack, including alternative costumes renders for main cast and additional renders for some other mods, stay tuned, perhaps i upload assets to enhance the lewdworlds mod to make it more accurrate.

It would be great if mod configs on bluestar manager be used, since its a LOT of material.

UI OVERHAUL ASSETS.rar 409.41 MB · 2 downloads

I'm gonna port it. Probably will take a couple of days though. Also gonna try to make it BlueStar Manager compatible.

Honestly yeah with how some people were talking here I thought modders wanted to post here but got discouraged because of UI mods, and now nobody's posting even if we have a separate thread for that now.

This is why I opposed this decision, I knew that it would vastly decrease thread activity. The main thread is less active and the UI thread is completely dead, because now the community is split and everyone is confused on what gets posted where (not to mention that many people probably still don't know the UI thread even exists). I used to check this thread every day for updates, it was exciting to see this game so active, now I don't even bother because it's just dead silent. I hope everyone who asked for this is happy, because I'm not, and I know for a fact I'm not the only one.

Being real here. This is how the thread was for the most part before the decals, with the exception of people making mod requests and porn dumping.

Plus the game has been out for a while now, the hype for it has calmed down. This tends to happen with a lot of threads unless there's big projects being worked on, and most of them have been completed for this game, or not updated in a while. Only a few people are making these mods right now, and they choose if they wanna share or not. This is quite normal for a thread.

OK, fair enough, but I still don't understand why the massive spike in activity is somehow considered a bad thing. Isn't it good that more people are taking an interest in the game? It honestly just feels like a lot of people simply don't like UI mods and wanted them quarantined away from the "real" mods, which seems really unfair and elitist IMO.

Also, there's no guarantee that making this separation will even stop spam. Who's to say that people won't just post porn and beg for someone to make a 3D model of it instead of a decal? UI mods are just being used as a scapegoat when they were never the problem to begin with.

It was a bad thing because if there is too much activity with stuff most folks aren't interested in, people will unfollow the thread. This way the pings and notifications count, rather than coming back to yet another art dump they don't care about. Make sense?

I dunno how you can say most people don't care about it when the lewd decals mod is the second most downloaded mod of all time. Clearly a lot of people care about it.

There's no need to be condescending like that

Sure, but that's the mod itself, not the art spamming. The art spamming was mostly ideas and such, not actual mods. The purpose of separating the two was so the art spamming could at least be contained so the people looking for model mods don't have to sift through as much here.

Perhaps the other thread could be dedicated to ideas and art dumps, instead of UI mods, but whatever. There are now significantly fewer posts here that aren't mods or mod progress, so at least we will have a more balanced "mod post to idea post" ratio. I would have unfollowed easily within a week if it didn't get separated recently.

I made a poll to gather information about how people feel about the split between threads, please vote if you have the time: https://strawpoll.com/Qrgew87wYyp

Contrary to what your poll prompt states, the UI modding thread is not hard to find, and therefore, the UI mods are also not hard to find.

People were doing that before the decals. And we all also expressed at how bad it was getting due to people not putting it in a spoiler to reduce scroll length. UI mods aren't being used as a scapegoat for anything.

There's nothing wrong with having a separate thread for decals. Multiple threads do this, like Pokemon, Rimworld, Palworld, etc. I honestly don't get why its an issue for this one.

This is the solution I would be in favor of. The current solution is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

When you google "Sonic Racing Crossworlds Adult Mods" this thread shows up. The UI thread does not. Yes, it's linked in the first post of the main thread, which I appreciate, but it's all the way at the bottom, which is two to three pages worth of content. It is, by definition, harder to find than the main thread.

Only a few people are making these mods right now, and they choose if they wanna share or not. This is quite normal for a thread.

This, and I'll say this again, this thread is almost reaching 200 pages that takes several hours to read completely.

That's actually quite rare for a thread here in LL to have that many pages, and it's for a Sonic game of all things, a racing spin-off nonetheless where we can hardly have a close look at the characters' natural beauty without photo mode / freecam mods.

Not even mainline games of the franchise received that much attention; Frontiers only had 6 pages and the removed Shadow Generations thread was around that same amount. Not even the general Sonic thread for NSFW mods has that many posts as it still hasn't reached page 40 for three years.

You also know what those other threads have in common? Not too much porn dumping if any.

Just because other people are doing that here lately does not mean it should be normalised because that would clutter this massive thread even more.

Or worse, overtaking the thread into a porn-dumping thread if enough of us decided to unfollow this thread and not post here anymore because it no longer appeals to us.

Sure, lots of people like sexy decal/UI mods, that's totally fine, but there's also plenty of us (most of which are quiet lurkers) that don't care for that kind of modding than the mods that change the characters' models. The main girls got their nude mods now, yes, but there's still potential for sexy costumes along with genitalia/nude mods for the guys and crossover characters that have yet to be fully realised which I'm sure the many people following this thread would prefer to hear updates on than just another request for porn decals. I mean that's precisely why I followed this thread in the first place, not that.

Point is: when a thread is small, it's easy to digest the entire thread for any meaningful modding discussion and mod showcases.

When a thread gets too big, it becomes a daunting task having to shovel through so many pages to find something interesting that appeals to the individual reader.

Having a separate thread for UI and texture-based mods helps to reduce the clash of interest and to minimise unwanted porn spam in a modding discussion thread.

Or, given that the second most-downloaded NSFW mod for this game is a lewd decal pack, should we just make our own thread dedicated to model mods instead and leave this one for the gooners to post their horny stuff so they can be happy while we can be happy ourselves having a place for mods we specifically want?

I know it's stupid to be segregating ourselves here, but if the general consensus wants this game's modding to be about lewd decals than actually lewding or nudifying the character models, then so be it because I'm really starting to care less for this particular thread the more I keep getting notifications for things that's all about requesting replacing decals with smut from e621 or rule34.xxx.

I apologise if I come across as grumpy and/or dramatic here, I don't really hate the decal mods but I don't want to be here anymore if everything should all be lumped in here when I don't care for so much of them.

Hard-er, sure, but still fairly easy to find in general.

Mods attract ideas and requests, especially in the NSFW community.

Thing is, most folks wouldn't follow the logic of an ideas thread. People would still spam art ideas and requests if they see art mods, just since it's a ton easier than proposing model ideas. So, sending all art-related aspects to a new thread will make it so all the art spams and requests go that direction, too.

Personally, I would much rather see UI stay in its separate thread. I don't have any interest in title screens or sticker bombing my cars with porn, the vanilla stuff is fine. I just want cute girls and casual nudity on my screen without having to scroll through pages and pages of sticker requests.

Posted

being honest, I don't even really know why I keep checking in on this thread at this point, it's been almost nothing but sticker requests and infighting and it's just kinda hard to look at

Yeah I think we just need to move on from all this drama now. The UI thread will grow in time, so now we just need to focus on making mods to feature on this page.

All i have to say about decal mods is that while i dont care for them its a hell of a lot better than people popping up exclusively to post tits and leave. I get the odd mod request or commission from time to time but jesus christ at least 30 pages worth of this thread is just porn dumping with no actual mods being made. Do not get me started on repackaged gamebanana drama from people who dont upload shit on either site ever.

What if Nude Alex mod looks similar to these artworks, I would love Nude Alex to look like this in CrossWorlds. Just an idea everyone. >w<

Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry I contributed to this, it was hypocritical of me after saying we shouldn't argue; as such, this will be my last post on anything relating to the split. My poll was very strongly in favor of the split so that at least gives me some peace of mind that this is actually what the majority of users wanted. I still don't like it, but I understand the perspective of people in favor of the split now.

Plus, the split may end up being a good thing for UI mods: we've got one new person in the thread wanting to learn about the process, which is great, and hopefully others will follow in due time. This isn't what I wanted, but I'll learn to work with it. Now, back to what really matters: making cute Mobians take their clothes off!

OK so I'm trying to make my first mod - a nude Sally Acorn, but I'm running into some trouble.

So I got it all scaled up and (hopefully) correctly posed

image.thumb.png.6ffb8e65cff39beaff1c4f15084c00c1.png

but when I try to ctrl+j all the model groups I get this:

image.thumb.png.c7d63e308aff1a9e5607e1dc4b477ccf.png

Anyone who might know how to fix this? I'm using this model from smutbase btw: https://smutba.se/project/78ae7f55-c313-407b-9b7c-4e7c0a8aa833/ if that helps.

EDIT: and recalculating normals didn't help. IDK if it even did anything.
