Latex Clothing (SA0)


Clad your base and dress your pawns in shiny latex.


Adds 4 new types of apparel for male (Thin, Normal, Hulk) and female (Thin, Normal) body types. (Fat bodies are currently not supported)
Adds 3 types of masks.

Adds a cybernetic bitchsuit (Careful once they felt its embrace, your pawns will never want to live without it)
Adds latex as a building material and a corresponding floor type.

Adds rubber trees and a small potted plant.


The bitchsuit may need further balancing, i am open to suggestions.

It is currently in testing and i will add breast support and maybe more body sizes later on.

More content may be added in the future. So tell me what you would like to see.

Great idea, i think the drawing would be doable. The problem is the coding, i am not sure how the rendering for beds work, if the texture of the bed does not change when a pawn lies in it, i don't think i am able to do it. Intercepting the pawn render pipeline for the bitchsuit was difficult enough for me and don't think i have the knowledge to implement something like this myself. Alternatively i could just create it as a decorative item or statue.

The clothing should already suppress slave resistance, mind control sounds quite complicated to implement, maybe a mood buff like the joywire. The suits i will put on the maybe list.

Not a bad idea, it could be a function i could add to the bitchsuits. But i do not want to plainly copy something that already exists. The other way around might also be interesting like the stimhibitors from Torei.

I am sorry but no, i will stick to the SA bodies. The suits currently give vac resistance and i was thinking about adding a spacesuit helm or something similar.

 Ideology DLC adds an eye slot in apparel slots for blindness-related precepts/ideologies, could always use that for a VR headset rig (or night vision goggles, whatevs).  Haven't bothered to check if your mod's gimp mask covers that slot though.  Kind of surprising it hasn't transitioned to the base game anyways, it has a lot of modding potential...

 

Edit:  I see you added ideology support, but I'm assuming that's apparel precepts, not anything eye related.  Although some have stated the eye apparel layer has shifted to base game anyways, but I'm too lazy to decompile game code to check.

 

Also, since the latex resource is stuffable, it results in buildings being built out of it... quite comical, but also kind of annoying when it displaces what would otherwise be steel or stone buildings and walls on map.  Odyssey really needs that extra metal!

 

Edit 2:  Latex being stuffable is also leading to inadvertant (though comical) naming errors.  The latex hood from this mod is called a "Latex latex hood" since items that are stuffable display the type of material used in the name (ie, wooden club, plasteel long sword, etc.)

I wanted to use this mod however two of the items of clothing cause an error with the SA0 body mod.... I hope you can fix these in the next update.

1. Could you add support for nudist? Like exposing one's pubic parts that could trigger nude discipline in ideo. The harness is a good canditated but right now it still cover bottom. We can have bodysuit with holes on breast, vagina and anus.

2. The material of latex parts doesn't limited to latex only which isn't comfortable for me to read "Latexlatex bodysuit". Maybe you can fix this by removing the latex in the middle so it can be crafted by other material?

3. Adding more reactions/affects by wearing it and seeing others wearing it. eg. Reducing/Increasing sexual needs and comfort needs depending on their sadist/masochist traits. People who doesn't have these two traits will show different attutide by seeing it.

4. Latex related weapons for non-lethal purpose such as suppressing prisoners and slaves, attacking enemies without killing. Latex whips, rubber sticks, and rubber bullet guns that only causing pain without wound, so they can be stunned and captured easily. 

5. Furniture like things in rjw onahole extension. Vacbed/Vaccube, human statues that can seal a prisoner/slave to theathen other slaves and delight colonists. 

6. blindfold, mask, mouth gag, etc. Restrainting suit that can turn pawns into pet. Pawn pet can be trained to do easy works like other animals

I'm here to make a bug report.

The Cyber Bitchsuit has some weird overlay issues on the back.

It also looks really small.

Attempting to code up a fix on my end, but wanted to report it.

I´m getting this error (x2) at game start when using this mod:

 

Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.StatDef named wearPerDay found to give to RimWorld.StatModifier (null stat)
Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.StatDef named wearPerDay found to give to RimWorld.StatModifier (null stat)

 

After looking in the files, it seems to be caused by lines 119 and 203 of .\1.6\Defs\ThingDefs_Misc\Apparel_Latex.xml

Author, please fix the error you pointed out. In the entire large RJW pack of mods, it's the only one that triggers the log every time it's launched.

Great AddOn - but I'm sorry to report a unconvenient behavior and I hope I'm in the correct topic for this.

 

I added the mod midgame, after the research of "Tree sowing" and "Cocoa".

 

After activating the mod "Latex" I cannot plant trees anymore. These options have simply vanished from the menue:

On deactivating the mod, the options are back:

It seems something is generally wrong with vegetation growth: no new plants are spawning anywhere else on the map either. The map is slowly turning into a barren grassland... 

 

Bug or just my inability to configure it correctly? Hope, someone can help me. Thanks!

Hey, I haven't decided I'm actually going to publish this mod but just in case, I was hoping for permission to adapt a few of your textures for it. The color pallet for my mod is more purple so it's not a direct re-use. Obviously, I would include credit

I was wondering if it was possible to get more colours for the latex. For the clothing i can use dying to get close enough (trying to get a bright colour doesnt work so well), but specificlly for the walls and floors so make my latex clad base more colourful.
