I've been trying to get devious devices to work and I keep running into the problem where the textures aren't loading. I've looked up solutions but all i found was that I needed to build devious devices in body builder. I tried following the tutorial here, but it didn't fix the problem. Just to be safe to make sure I got everything I selected every group except the two CBBE vanilla groups. Am I doing something wrong? I've attached a screenshot of how I set up body builder for reference.image.png.afc8bd018f501fa2e2ec578fd654058d.png

Which version of DD do you have?

You have both 3BA and BHUNP. Why?

For best results you should do a batch build without any filters applied. This means you'll have the option to build everything, not just stuff covered by groups (you will re-build a lot of sets you've already built, but also it will guarantee you don't leave un-grouped sets behind). Also using one of the basic presets (at least initially, since some presets aren't assigned the proper groups so they're not selectable for certain sets).

I'm not sure why I have both 3BA and BHUNP. I'm fairly new to modding so I followed a guide to download the mods I wanted and got all the prerequisites to the mods, so if I have both then that's what those had me download.

As for DD, I have version 5.2.7 for SE and DD NG v0.4.1.7 since it's a prerequisite to another mod. I'll try to do the build with no filters and with a basic preset when I get home later. Does it matter which preset I use or can I use any and it will be fine?

Also, most of the time when I batch build it gives me the option of using 3BA OR CBBE. Does it matter which one I use since I have both?

You should pick 3BA. 3BA still requires base CBBE so keep it installed but do prefer any 3BA sets over regular CBBE if given the choice by Bodyslide. You have BHUNP because you installed it or installed BHUNP files for Bodyslide at some point.

Well, I did what you said and it's still invisible. I changed the preset to Oppai and removed all filters. I also changed all the sets to 3BA. If it helps the specific set I'm testing is the slave set used in the start another life slave princess start.

Next step would be check if the files are actually being generated by Bodyslide and where they end up. You'll have to get familiar with your mod manager for that. You can use More Informative Console to inspect the item and check which meshes/textures are associated to it, then try to localize them in your game/mod manager files.

Also try with different DD items, perhaps the one item that mod is trying to apply is obsolete or doesn't work right. I have no idea about those alternate start mods, but I do know current DD + DD NG works just fine with 3BA.

oh boy, everything is way more messed up then i thought it was. I tried on a number of different items from DD and most of them were just invisible but didn't make me turn invisible (cuffs, ropes, and harnesses). any dresses would make my body disappear and boots would make just my feet disappear. collars, petsuits and headgear worked fine. anything with chains would appear but the chains wouldn't be attached to the cuffs correctly and didn't hinder my movement. and when I tried to enter a building in falkreath I ended up below the map or something. I don't even know where to start on this

I already told you how to track down items with issues to your game files.

DD items turning your body or parts of it invisible is a missing .nif file, why some work and others don't might be related to the source of each item (ie all the items working as intended are from DD, all items not working as intended are from Cursed Loot or some other DD related mod, no idea since there's no details about which mods you're using other than the filters you show in the first image).

DD Items not applying effects such as bound animations or movement speed reductions could mean you're using an older version or missing requirements, I do remember some mods had a conflict with the way DD items apply in game effects, no idea if you use any of those mods either. And DD NG should apply to all base DD items.

So track down items not working as intended to files in your game/mod manager and try to isolate the source, then you could spot the issue as a failed installation of some mod, using an older version of some DD related mod, or a missing/outdated requirement.

Best of lucks.
