VAR_Nyssia is used in the first part of the task.
VAR_Nyssia2 is used after the PC returns with Spriggan.

Why are there two versions? Because after the PC returns with Spriggan, Nyssia loses the green effects around her (the same ones used on Spriggan). So instead of wasting time trying to find this cause, we create second version was used in rest part a quest and it worked fine.

Note: remember that during a creating the Spriggan task, the mod was already a few days behind schedule.

@Lil Li Ly, @killer905@Gristle @GrumpyTree

I know it's not my mod and I've not tested this fully yet... but here's a starting fix, it's a direct edit of this mod rather than a patch - I hate patches.

Anyway...

  • It carries over the new properties which were added by ver .44 or was it .45 onto VAR_TirwinLH (simple copy into it via SSeEdit).
  • Adds in VAR_Nyssia2  - this was done  by:
  1.  Forwarded  VAR_Nyssia2  from Animal Research.esp into Animal ResearchReplacer.esp
  2. Replaced the head parts on VAR_Nyssia2 with the head parts of VAR_Nyssia
  3. copied the facegen file 00343EA1.nif as 003DC2DC.nif
  4. copied the texture file 00343EA1.dss as 003DC2DC..dss

This should clear up and insure there will not be any conflict with ver .45  and in the future unless there are added properties to Tirwin down the line.

Edit... I forgot to add in that EMB_10.dss file in the first archive I uploaded... added that now. and uploaded, So in this one VAR_Nyssia2 should look fine?

btw: I pulled that texture from another of Lil Li Ly's mods.

For me if I use this the starting event where Tirwin walks over to you doesn't happen she just stands there next to the other person

Make sure any replacer for Tirwin is immediately right after Animal Research and they must be very low in the load-order. My Animal research is index 20 and replacer is 21 hex (Thats 32 and 33 in decimal).

Amazing works.

Here's hoping that you can also work your magic with the women in The Ancient Profession. That mod has an NPC replacer but it's only partial and has not been updated per the latest version

I want to create a custom character replacer for myself, but I've noticed that Tirwin turns bald. However, when I use the "Are You There" mod to duplicate NPCs, they appear normal. The same method works fine with other NPCs. I even tried copying and replacing the same head mesh for two different NPCs in this mod, and the other one turned out normal. I've created many replacers using the same method before and never encountered this issue. Have you come across a similar problem during your modding process?

@Lil Li Ly  @Gristle and @killer905  had updated many of the previous npcs which your replacer will override and may break some quests and behavior. I also do not see mesh files for any of the head part meshes in the archive your mod is using either.

VAR_TirwinLH - They added packages for sandboxing in her room, also properties were added to her.

VAR_Vivienne - is now used in the mod and her attributes have changed a lot in ver .53 from prior versions she has packages, skills, perks along with other things which changed.

To clarify what eflat01 wrote:
Vivi/Vivienne - Her voice has been changed and she is part of the quest, so you can visit her after quest.
Triwin - She has additional sandbox packs.
Iona/Lorielle/Saffroin - They have been get own unique appearance and can be encountered in Skyrim.

Additionally added, but only appear once:
Elyssia - Tirwin's mother.
Adurisa/Vodell - Servants of the Tirwin family.
Aranil - Tirwin's brother's lover.

Add -> Skypatcher Version for Compatibility

Now Require Skypatcher

I tried downloading the mod but for some reason it's not changing any of the character's appearances. I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I feel your installation instructions could be clearer.  Version numbers would help.

Am I supposed to install the first file, the second file, or both?

Your NPCs replacers on Nexus are outstanding.  I look forward to future enhancements.

I'm having similar issues with the latest transition over to Skypatcher. I've tried using the Replacer on the newest AR version .54, but I can't get it to work (It worked finre back on .53). I have no experience with Skypather, but I assume you just install and enable the Skypatcher mod just like anything else, or is there any additional step you need to make to get this to work?

That is making very little sense.

Can you look at your Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SLSE\SkyPatcher.log you should see the \SkyPatcher NPC Replacer Converter\Animal ResearchReplacers.esp.ini being red and then processed in that.

The Skypatcher ini is pretty straight forward and the ini is using editor ids not form ids.

i.e.

filterByNpcs=VAR_TirwinLH:copyVisualStyle=800_VAR_TirwinLH:skin=800_VAR_TirwinLH

How we read that is skypatcher will

filter upon the Editor ID VAR_TirwinLH copy over the visualstyle with 800_VAR_TirwinLH  : and the skin with 800_VAR_TirwinLH

I love the looks on all the npcs but I got a problem with Nyssia she's got a huge neck gap and weird scrunched elbows and butt. So far no other NPC has had any issue, I'm running the skypatcher version with Animal Researcher version .54
