I think you only need Animal Research (and it's requirements) as hard requirements, but it was design with those optional files in mind. It use your default body and skin, however, I still recommend installing EFM and EFA since the facial animation might looks weird without it.

These look amazing!

 

If I may make a request, could you add hair physics to them?  There's a program designed by the Vanilla Hair Remake guy that fixes the bug that breaks hair physics for NPCs when used as a body part so you don't have to make them bald and assign them individual skins anymore.

 

If you can't add physics, that's okay.  I can slap some wigs onto their outfits.

However, I think she may had been in the Bannered Mare in an really early version? I'm also pretty sure she solicited my PC (when the PC was prostituting) a couple of times, I remember her name and hair, she's dressed as a mage and I consoled and her to see where she came from because I liked her hair. Also when I look in game at the PC's SexLab experience she did sleep with her.

 

I just looked and she's not in any cell that can I see, but she's is in the mod and referenced in the VAR_MainQuest though. Maybe you or @Gristle had plans for her but shelved (removed) her later?

Vivi/Vivienne was originally the main character of this mod, but she was replaced by Tirwin. This change was mainly my idea, because I decided that a High Elf would be too proud of her own race (looking down on other races as inferior) and would be unlikely to engage in sexual activity with animals or other races, or with non-pureblood Altmer. But as you can see, Tirwin does not treat PCs badly or elevate himself because of her race. She also does not support what the Thalmor does or believes. Additionally, this gave us a reason to introduce the threat of the Thalmor.

 

In general, Vivi should not appear in any cell, because (as far as I remember) she is not placed in the game world.

 

Will Vivi be used? I don't know, but it would be a shame not to use her in some future quest. We are now planning to go to the mages' academy, so there would be an opportunity to use her in one of the quests.

Obviously it would be good to use her as a resource if you need another npc, and if there's a college planned quest off in the future that would be not just an opportunity but some of the effort in place already. You should just look up to see where she's used in the Var_MainQuest, most likely defining an alias or something?

It is only added in the alias, nothing else.

Yes, it only changes the pertinent npcs in Animal Research. Other npcs in the quests will inherit what ever npcs replacers you have. The Animal Research copies of npcs (VAR_Serana for instance) will also inherit any replacers you have for Serana.

 

btw... Tirwin looks very pretty, though I'm really love the nymph Nyssia, not that she's horny 😜 but I've always had a thing for redheads.

Nyssia is not rendering correctly. Game brings up "VAR_Nyssia2 (baseID: 073DC2DC) in scenes. When I try player.placeatme for Var_Nyssia (BaseID: 07343EA1, I get CTD). Seems to be missing brow mesh (EM_10 in .nif). Also, \meshes\00Lily\Brow\femalebrows.nif has path to some EMB textures that I am unfamiliar with about: textures\actors\character\emb\emb_01.dds  

I've tried copying the settings from Nyssia to Nyssia in xedit. . .despite that and my mediocre knowledge of xEdt, she does not look like the picture.

Otherwise, so far, the facegens are just amazing. Just hoping Nyssia can be re-beautified. Thanks again.

That mesh you mentioned in your post is not Animal Research's mesh. The file  \meshes\00Lily\Brow\femalebrows.nif is from the Animal ResearchReplacer.esp.  

 

I thought the Replacer works because I use it, was working fine... I think you have a bad install of it or let something override the files.

Doh. Thanks for the reminder. I thought I was in the replacer thread. Well, still trying  to figure of why Nyssia2 was called up in the Spriggan quest as opposed to the "original" Nyssia. In any case, I'll report on the thread. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I did manage to copy the assets of Nyssia to the :Nyssia 2" in Replacer mod

My bad, we are in the replacer thread, sorry.

 

I'm thinking that Nyssia 2 may had been added in .in a bug fix on the main mod?  @Gristle @killer905 I did not load it up in CK to see if it's used.

 

Oh, if that's the issue that there are  two well then the replacer mod needs to have the second added in. 

 

 

Can't just copy the 2nd into Replacer mod in SSeEdit,  have to run it through a facegen in CK, etc... or in SSeEdit can dup the 2nd to Replacer, copy replacer's 1 attributes to override the 2nd and then copy/replace the facegen nif and face textures from 1 over top the facegen and texture of 2. 

 

i.e. the facegen files in AR. Replacer needs that 003DC2DC.NIF I believe is the file - and form id.

VAR_Nyssia is used in the first part of the task.
VAR_Nyssia2 is used after the PC returns with Spriggan.

 

Why are there two versions? Because after the PC returns with Spriggan, Nyssia loses the green effects around her (the same ones used on Spriggan). So instead of wasting time trying to find this cause, we create second version was used in rest part a quest and it worked fine.

 

Note: remember that during a creating the Spriggan task, the mod was already a few days behind schedule.
