smudge78 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So I installed http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24339-sexy-idle-animation-by-red31133dm/ animation 1, and it works fine for all non female housecarls. But I noticed that all my female housecarls simply do not use this idle. Is there a reason for that? Is there a fix?
Uriel Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Those probably have that damned "Use opposite gender animation" flag. Who exactly?

cornbreadtm Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Feminine Females - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36286/? You have to start a new game if you want to fix this problem though. Skyrim locks in the opposite gender animations into the save.

CGi Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 i use Correct Gender Animations and it fixes Lydia as well as most other females that use male animations. The main + DLC support can be easily merged into one single plugin too.

gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Looking at that mod also makes me think that's why Feminine Females doesn't always work (I use a NPC altering mod in most play throughs).
EternalDamned Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Yeah it is a pain, I went through every single female in game and unchecked that damn use opposite gender anims box. Took flippin hours! For some you need to uplevel edit for as many as 4 or 5 layers to get to root template. Then click ok down through and go back up 1 layer at a time until it takes with all or it will not work on lowest level in hierarchy.
D_ManXX2 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 it is better to use a mod like EBD every body is different less intrusive. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34637 Has an option to make all female walk like a female and many more options. it uses skyproc patcher and will patch very single mod in your list. so if you enable female walk it will make sure every single mod in your list who makes female walk like males will be corrected with the right gender patch.

That's what the Merged Patch function is TES5Edit is made for. it merges changes from multiple mods and unlike Bashed Patch not only leveled lists, but items and NPCs as well. And no, it's not a click-here-and-done function, but there are guides on YT, the Nexus and here on LL.

Any mod that changes Lydia, usually appearance mods will overwrite it. Remove the conflicting mods or merge the changes with Tes5Edit.

Apachihairs npc was the problem, so I just modified it in the CK using speednyl's advice, all good now.
gvman3670 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I just merged (using TES5Edit) the NPC overhaul I'm using and Feminine Females. So far, at least with Jenassa and a couple Companions, the butch females have the feminine walk animations. But with Jenassa she lost her Apachii hairstyle. No biggie. And I haven't run across Lydia or Jordis yet to see if it worked on them.
