I’ve been working on some half-nude mods for global and I wanted to share a few of them. 

 

This started as a fun personal project, and I’ve been putting a lot of time into creating new versions of the characters. Right now I’m focusing on half-nude mods but I want to expand into custom outfits in the future.

@goofyahhcatshow do you convert the files to be usable with the umpd mod loader? The old mcqueenrobe mod has many seperate folders.

I would definitely pay a lot of money for Global version all or many of the girls full nude. I am a wealthy individual, and I have had my eye on this game. I want to play it, but really wanted nudity much like a horse is mostly nude.

copy setting.json from example_mod

 

structure should be

I am shit with this modding stuff now so waiting for a moder to do something, am actaully suprised only a few are working on modding this, there are so many girls to mod but this might be the reason no one is trying, sooner  or later there might be over a hundred of them lol

It would probably help if there was more structured guides to modding tailored to the game itself rather than pointing to guides for other games that are similar. As an example, the first post of this thread points to a modding tutorial for a Neptunia game on how to modify models in which they recommend using AssetStudio, but apparently AssetStudio doesn't work to great with Uma files, so people are advised to use AssetRipper and FBX Export in Unity editor for editing models. I've tried making some edits myself following the guides, but obviously missing something as they don't end up working when put back into the game. All in all though, once more knowledge and tutorials are put out there, as well as some tools for easier access to files, you'll probably see more mods show up. That's one of the reasons why all the hoyoverse games have tons of mods, there's plenty of tools and tutorials for anyone to pick up and get started. If you really want to see more mods though, be the change you want to see, I'm sure there's plenty of people watching the thread that would be happy to pick up anything that's put out for the most part. xd

I've tried using the UMMM mod manager to install them and the mods aren't working. Is there a manual method to get them to work?

So the mod's zip folder has 6 loose files. Take note of the first two characters in these files names. Now go in your C:\Users\[User]\AppData\LocalLow\Cygames\Umamusume\dat folder and you'll see a bunch of folders with 2-character names ("2A", "2B", etc). Basically, the loose mod files need to be sorted into those folders in the games directory. For example, a mod file named "2L5MNAC7F2ZMJAASVZLWST7GWR5QOUUP" will replace an existing file of the same name in the "2L" folder.

 

So basically:

1) locate the files in the \dat location looking in the subfolder with the same first two characters

2) backup the original file somewhere

3) paste the modded file into the subfolder

 

I did it this way and everything works correctly
