Picking this up after the great ponzipyramid left us RIP. I want to continue this mod with the other events he listed, and perhaps some more of my own, though this will be taking a backburner to my LMAO - Tolls and Crimes mod, as that is my priority.

 

There were a lot of things left completely broken with the most recent Prison Alternative updates, as a bunch of functions and parameters that were used by this were no longer apart of Prison Alternative, leaving this in not the best state.

I have cleaned those up for the most part, though there are still some issues, the pillory event for instance seems to mostly work, but its not ideal and needs a major rework. I plan on rebuilding that using DD contraptions at some point, once I have a better handle on those - Prison Alternative no longer requires ZAZ, so I feel like I should go towards that since I find it superior.

This add-on aims to bring Prison Overhaul Patched (POP) style events to Prison Alternative. This is very much a work-in-progress so install at your own risk.

 

Events

  • Visitor Event
  • Pillory Event (Whiterun only)
  • Parade Event (Whiterun only)
  • Public Whore Release Event

Compatibility
Should work with all SE versions. Based on preliminary testing, it may work on LE, post in the thread if something breaks.

 

Requirements

Hard:

Soft:

  • Public Whore (for the release outcome)
  • Practical Restraints (for the parade event)
  • SlaveTats (for tattoos during events) and Tramp Stamps (for the default tattoos)
  • ZAZ - will eventually be removed. If you don't use this, I think it will still work, but turn off the pillory event.

Recommended:

Installation

  • Install as you would any other mod, preferably with a mod manager
  • If you are installing this mid-game, run clear registry, then register events in the Prison Alternative MCM but as stated in PA's description this is risky
  • Ensure you run Register Animations in the ZAP MCM
  • If you're getting mismatched animations, disable the ZAP Sexlab filter

That's cool. Good to see a prison mod with some compatibility with PW. Tried this before and it didn't work out for me. Hoping you can change that. I'm liking LMAO so far. Pop has been a stable in my load order since I started playing skyrim. It's not really being developed anymore- just updated.

The only thing I noticed is that you intend to build a patch for DD. Pama, she has a grudge against DD so every time there is an event I have to remove DD from inventory. It's so cool to hear this

cool mod, happy to see PA version of POP. i pause play skyrim during covid era and suprise that the other mod either get NG version or redux version, POP still same.

NG has a special meaning (using a version agnostic variant of the commonlib library) that's not applicable to this mod as it contains no dll.
A redux, reborn, re-whatever might be an option though I see nothing wrong with simply upping the version number like thor did.

At that subject though @thor3222 could you please also include the version number in the file name, not just the mod page title? Assuming you will push out more versions, like you are planning, it will be quite difficult to tell them apart otherwise.

Absolutely correct on the NG thing. I don't know any SKSE yet so any sort of actual NG from me mod will be in the far future.

But yes, I will add the version number on next release. I always forget on the first drop then remember on subsequent ones.

Yeah and I get it, its not that they are really against it, but it causes issues in the main mod that aren't supported. So any DD stuff I add will be light touch and be removed between events to not cause problems with others.

I'll likely stray from devices, using the built in ones, but lean towards it on contraptions like pillories and such

It real sucks that with that alt prisons, since it a hard req. I cant use this mod 

"-Devious Devices and anything that Depends on Devious Devices (The mere presence of DD doesn't seem to cause immediate problems, but stuff will break if you wear DD restraints)

-Devious Cursed Loot (can be used by experienced users, but can and WILL break your game if not handled VERY carefully)

-Other mods which have the Player go through forced scenes while in Prison"

 

If you could do something about that in alt prisons I would download in a heart beat. what I have read about this mod and alt, definitely a better prison system then vanilla.

I have DD installed and Prison Alternative (and other PAMA mods) and i have no problems. You have to keep attention to your inventory when you go to jail, leave all the DD stuff somewhere and you'll be ok.

As Lady Wintrish already stated, Prison Alternative (and about every other mod from Pama) is not incompatible with DD (or DCL), it just makes no attempt to accommodate those mods. So if you are decked in devices and end up in prison things are likely to get ... weird. Like Lady Wintrish I've used Pamas Prison Alternative together with DD (and occasionally with DCL) for a long time and never had serious problems.

I just hope that DD will not become a hard requirement at some point, that would be a shame, as PA was so far "lightest" -most (non conflicting / non demanding) prison mod I've tested thus my favorite one.

No worries there, look at how I am doing lmao - I don’t see a need to make that a hard requirement in general, if I do modify ir that way it will require either zaz or devious devices, but not both (and that requirement would be for that specific event)

That's very weird. I'll give it a check this week and see if I can replicate it. It doesn't look like there is any sort of moveto() function at the end that I would assume would be the reason. I'm not entirely sure how the finish event sequence is done, my assumption is it would be something done by prison alternative itself, but I suppose if it was the issue something similar would happen with like the poke and prod event.

i retested it and yes after the wipping just before the sex scene starts me and the guard are teleported somewere outdoors in the sky and we both fall down...and the guard dies...i resurrected him but the event wont advance...we are stuck at nowere
