For these pictures I placed artificial lights with photo mode. I work with photography IRL so I know that good lighting can make all the difference for getting a great shot. You won't be seeing this level of lighting fidelity during normal gameplay. Place rim lights to accent their silhouettes (that's the pink and warm orange colors you see on Lune's silhouette), and a key light in front of the subject, sometimes also a little fill light on the opposite of the front.

See this example, in the first picture I have zero artificial lights, that's raw gameplay lighting where I am standing in a shadowy spot. Second picture I added four lights in the photomode.

The Photo Mode added in Patch 1.5.0 (mid-December 2025) is absolutely amazing, and I've started a fresh playthrough just to ogle through the gorgeous graphics using it.

 

I've tried (and bought) almost all the nude mods for Expedition 33 out there, but the free Nudexpedition mod on Nexus ironically feels like the best available and in fact better than the paid mods.

The mod for SCIEL turned out very well, although in certain lighting conditions the skin looks a little blotchy, but it's not a major flaw. The cut on the chest is invisible because of the tattoos.

On the other hand, LUNE is unusable; the cut is too visible and the skin tone is mismatched. I'm using SCIEL and having a lot of fun.

It hadn't occurred to me until now after seeing these just how plausible nudity, sex and violence would fit Expedition 33 narratively speaking. Compared to such mods for other games, one could easily explain why it makes sense here.

Exactly! The nude mods fit surprisingly well into the overall theme and atmosphere of Expedition 33, and almost feels like an intended part of the game haha

While both of these sites operation on the principle of non-censorship, I believe neither one is well known and neither have the abundant selection of mods that can be found either here or on the nexus. Apart from that? Well there is always Patreon, Subscribestar or, I think, Cubebrush was the other one. Unfortunately I don't believe any of those sites are ideal for search and explore for new content. Example: With Patreon, I believe, you can only search for the names of creators. This don't help at all if you don't know who you're looking for and are trying to find new content. 

 

Sadly, the community here brought this upon themselves although I am sure everyone will hate me for saying as such. I just wish going forward we could all be more mindful of the rules of this site. There aren't many and most are simply common sense or should be. 

Also, AyakaMods is an alternative too
