the character mods i use all seem fine a few non character i used were broken or would crash the game all i had to do was get the updated of them for this patch other wise nothing broke for me besides the none character mods

After putting the game off for months I finally bought it 2 days ago and am loving it. So apart from Nexus, where else can I find mods? Perhaps a creator or 2 you guys can recommend?

Do you have any visual mods besides the nudes? I cant seem to come close to this level of visual fidelity. my shadows all look pixelated even maxed out and there's a weird ghosting effect (I have a vsync monitor i dont have frame ghosting)

Nope, just playing the game almost maxed out with DLSS on quality. I switched it to quality for the purpose of the screenshots, but normally play with DLSS performance for normal gameplay.

For these pictures I placed artificial lights with photo mode. I work with photography IRL so I know that good lighting can make all the difference for getting a great shot. You won't be seeing this level of lighting fidelity during normal gameplay. Place rim lights to accent their silhouettes (that's the pink and warm orange colors you see on Lune's silhouette), and a key light in front of the subject, sometimes also a little fill light on the opposite of the front.

See this example, in the first picture I have zero artificial lights, that's raw gameplay lighting where I am standing in a shadowy spot. Second picture I added four lights in the photomode.

I dont know what I'm doing different then. I think I have the same mod pack for Lune as you because I know I have that lingerie outfit too but it just looks so much worse on my end. Like even where you said was no artifical lighting the shadows look better T-T I love this game but it's just distracting sometimes

Those grainy shadows are likely caused by DLSS or other upscaling methods.
