Recommended Posts

You know Angi gives total 6 archery skills points so my archery is 94 and i went to Angi Camp for increasing 100. I finished all trainings but except her unique bow Angi didnt give me any skill point. I am using experience and ussep installed. I dug google but couldnt find anything about this.

you probably have some mod that interferes with the way xp is given. i often find skill books don't give points and this sounds similar.

Other than experience there is no xp mod. Then can we say experience is guilty?

Interesting i got one archery skill point during combat and archery increased from 94 to 100.

Sexlab Arousal and similar mods can decrease XP gain if the arousal is too high (distracted).  You're still getting XP, just not enough to level completely.

As far as I know, training in the vanilla game – i.e., how high can the existing trainers take the player – only goes up to level 90 anyway.

Beyond that, you can either gain experience – in archery, that is, FIGHTING – or through books.

The skill increase – which you receive as a reward (from the three master trainers) in the Bard Academy – is strictly speaking equivalent to reading books.

Training with "Angi" at her camp is intended for archery beginners... and not for someone who has long been at the expert level.

I personally use a mod that assigns a special trainer to every inn... and this trainer takes you up to level 100.

It's significant that at level 90, the prices per training session drop dramatically!

But this training is the same as reading skill books, it's a +1 level (or multiple +1 in this particular case) regardless of your level and without the level limit of training. To get the most out of it you should get it at higher levels, same as unmodded skill books.

As mentioned previously, any mods changing the XP gains with buffs/debuffs can interfere in the expected result of skill books, trainers and other quest rewarding skill increases. You're still gaining the experience to get to higher levels, but it won't be updated until you gain at least 1 point of xp via regular leveling methods (or by using console commands to add 1 xp point to the corresponding skill).

Experience does change the way you progress skills and character level quite drastically, but I don't remember if it touches skill increases from quests. It's definitely something I'd consult with the mod documentation if I was using that mod.
