obody for 1.6.1170

I use OBody Next Generation from Nexus mods, which is the version that doesn't require OStim.

It was pretty easy for me to install and set-up, as a user with minimal modding knowledge.  After installing the required files and some presets  just need to run BodySlide with the zeroed sliders option ticked.  (So all of the different bodies keep their shapes when changing clothes on characters).

There is only one main file and it works fine for the current version. No extra steps.

If it's crashing you likely have the wrong version of some other mod or a weird conflict that others don't have.

Confirm you have the correct version of SKSE, Address Library, Papyrus Util, RaceMenu and that UI Extensions is installed (aka check requirements, I think Address Lib isn't strictly a requirement but it's widely used by other files and having the wrong version is a common cause for some mods failing to work).

If it still crashes and you're 100% sure you have the correct version of everything try to load the game with only OBody NG and its requirements enabled (disable all your other mods, since you're using MO2 this means disabling mods in the left pane, not only in your loadorder).

You can copy your current profile and do this test in a different one, or make a backups of your modlist/loadorder so you can quickly undo these changes. Profiles are managed here image.png.7acf0c9e479d136f20e17082a0ac78bb.png, backup buttons image.png.c96df8eb275b299cfb0a6eb70a006661.png can be found at the top of both the left and right pane of MO2.

The idea of this test is only to see if the crash happens with most of your mods disabled. If it does I'd redo the install of the mod and its requirements, also triple check the actual version of all the relevant files. If it doesn't crash then something in your modlist is causing the crash. Not sure if you can get a crash log, but simple binary searching should help you pinpoint the crash source at this point.

To do a binary search you simply go 50/50: enable half your mods, sort loadorder, check if crash happens, if it doesn't enable half of your disabled mods and try again. If it does crash with half your mods you'll need to disable half of your enabled mods and so on... at some point you'll reach a point where enabling/disabling a single mod is the difference between crashing or not.

I use OBody on 1.6.1170 and have no issues with it, maybe you're missing a requirement for it.

Did you follow the Installation instructions on the article linked to the Nexus page for OBody NG? There is a little bit of set up needed in the form of adjusting the RaceMenu ini file as well as possible exceptions being made to unique NPC race mods.

A little off topic, but a compatibility question, does obody play well with mods like abba (Arousal Based Breast Adjuster), there are some mod that will work great until you have a different mod that adjust the bodies over time

I've tested several LL and non-LL mods to apply morphs and it works fine. With OBody you start with a zeroed slider preset, then Obody adds the sliders from your chosen preset, then mods can also add any morphs on top of what Obody did. I think only really old mods would have an issue here (like when different mods tried to fight over the same nodes). But things like MME, FHU, Soulgem Oven, Egg Factory, other SLIF mods and so on work as intended.

cool, The next question is, if lest say one mod used  version of CBBE slim for a NPC, you have another mod with a NPC that has CBBE curvy, it adjusts for each of those? and like nipple piercing (which I have always had issues with most) as long as BS is ran at zero slide those should adjust to fit either body type?

Why I ask is when I seen this mod, it was genius, to make allowanced for the different body type.

I think you're thinking too hard about this.

You start with zeroed sliders. You select (or let OBody distribute) a preset with biggest_booba slider set to 0.55. Then a mod says "biggest_booba slider should be increased by 0.05". So now your new value for that actor is biggest_booba slider 0.6. That's it, if you apply different presets to different actors you'll have different end results.

I've only had issues with MME applying the suction cups or some old DD piercings not aligning correctly with morphed bodies, but this was even without OBody in the way. I have some piercing mods (sharkish, ayleid and from some various outfit sets too). They work fine.

Ok cool, just seen what I would be working with I may give it a try her in a little while thanks for you help and answers

I use OBody with ABBA (well ABBA Lite right now), and I've never had issues with it. I've recently installed Bimbos of Skyrim and haven't seen any issues yet (but am still in the testing phase).

OP - I'm on 1.6.1170 and OBodyNG works fine, just like it did for me on 1.5.97. I don't have any specific suggestions other than making sure you have all the prerequisites installed appropriately, that you follow the installation instructions, and that you have proper zeroed out bodyslides for building outfits.
