The anime portraits that this mod comes with generally also don't appear though. Which is quite a shame as you've found some pretty good ones.

I had this issue as well. I was able to fix it by also going to mod's folder, opening descriptor.mod file via Notepad and changing the mod's name there as well. After that the launcher started recognising the mod again.

New R56 update has borked the insanity experience, it currently, and rapidly, goes into the negatives.

I've recently downloaded this mod, but i don't know what all country's where changed. I know England was, and know some of it, but i don't know if anyone else was changed, like if Germany was. I was wondering if there was an easy way to know what's all added, like what counties have added events (like England).

Most of the events are news events, but really the only countries with actual unique new stuff is Britain and Germany, and Germany's stuff is mostly balance of power flavour events. The sovjets seem to have events about capturing hitler but I don't play them so I'm not quite sure.

 

Easiest way to find out though is by looking through the files

Anyone can give me a walkthrough or guide on how to activate the Elizabeth content? I chose the use her option at the start and nothing else have happened related to her so far and its like 1938 already

Have you looked at the decisions tab? If nothing is there then have you installed the correct mod? Because I don't think the non R56 version has Elisabeth content.

i came back after a bit of a break since the last update, I really got burned out of HOI4 and the mod for a while and decided to do other things.

 

Anyway, during this period, HOD had considerable growth, to the point of almost 5000 downloads, which i was really impressed with, i'm happy that so many people have tried the mod, that's why i wanted you to give your suggestions that you would like to see in the mod, it could be events, mechanics, something specific to a nation in the game just like Elizabeth has, any improvements or changes you'd like, anything. i'll be keeping an eye on your suggestions, and i hope HOD grows even more, thank you all for still following the mod this far.

Maybe a small event chain for the Soviet Union about Anastasia imposters as during the time there were a lot of people claiming to be her

Maybe something with that one mongolian prince, deb-something. Afterall with the r56 anime mod he's Hu Tao. Otherwise probably just more flavour events.

Yes, I generally agree with the two above me that more nation-specific events would be my vote. As I tend to enjoy beating up on the soviets, perhaps some additions to their Winter War with Finland? Or would could do ahistorical stuff there and create a fictional Stalins daughter that takes over the Soviet Union, similar to the balance of power that Eva has in Germany. 

Edit: Also, I'll throw my hat in the ring here. I've modded HOI4 before and a bunch of other Paradox games. If you'd like help coding/writing events I'd be game to contribute

One of the few things i can add, besides the already mentioned would be - Less dependency on r56
While i do enjoy the mod, their monthly updates can rather easily break any portrait mod and create some other issues.

This time i'll take some time to work on the Soviet Union, and i started with the propaganda GFX, i had some ideas thanks to some of you, i'm working on a ficticial Stalin's Daughter that may take his place in the USSR leadership, and could have a path opposite of the rest of the world, a total femdom country, atleast, that's what i'm thinking of, feel free tu suggest any other ideas.

I'm pretty sure Stalin had an actual real life daughter. One of the few times that Stalin apparently showed panic was when he was informed his daughter was in the presence of Beria, his head of secret police and a notorious serial rapist.

Yes, but since that she had 10 years old at 1936, it would be better to create a whole new daughter for Stalin that would be older, so it could be more logical for her character that could be a new leader of USSR, it would be different from Elizabeth for example, since her being a Queen would be more "acceptable" since we're dealing with monarchy and stuff

Mostly some new tech/support companies, a new balance of power for germany, a shitton of images being replaced, a few new goverment laws, some new occupation laws, misonygist decisions and some events and stuff with Elizabeth for Great Britain.

Depends on what elizabeth path you do. 

 

Corruption path: Do the absolute monarchist path, make sure that Edward's marriage is non-morganic, aka his children won't be royals, then you need to have someone stratbomb london so that Edward is killed, his brother takes over and he will die after some time off cancer. Finally that makes Elizabeth the new monarch

 

Purity path: Get her training 100% complete. Then you'll get an event to crown her after some time.

I’m playing vanilla version as Italy, and whenever I go to war in the Balkans, my leader suddenly changes to Ion Antonescu, the Romanian leader. I have no idea what is causing this bug. Has anyone else experienced this?

Does the leader change completely, or just the portrait? are you using any other mod? I'll see if I can find anything
