Khaine69 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The mod where you received a letter from your spouse is Lovers Comfort. Hope that helps :-) You good Sir or Madam are correct! i do believe thats one of my current active mods. I never could get my spouse to seek me out when i enter the same cell as her though.
Grimbold the unlovely Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Grimbold: If I had a confined set of pre-defined places where outside-the-home sex could happen, I would do it. Make a list? I think an inn room is a great suggestion. OK, here some ideas for "risky" places (maybe the spouse could initiate sex in these places with the "How daring are you?" line): 1) Owned beds (especially Jarl Elisif's). There could be chance of a threesome if the owner catches player and spouse in flagrante delicto. Spouse initiates sex by saying "Look at those silk sheets! How different from our flea-infested mattress. Are you thinking what I'm thinking. . . ?" 2) The Skyforge at sunrise. Spouse initiates with: "I love dawn on the Skyforge. It's so romantic. You're a smith, aren't you? Hammer this." 3) The wooden boardwalk overlooking the Whiterun stables at sunset. Spouse initiates with: "This place is so beautiful at this time of day. Let's make love here. Quickly, before the guards notice." 4) Temple of Mara while high priest is sleeping. Spouse: "This is where we were married. Let's reconfirm our vows by doing it here". 5) Aela's room in Jorvasskr, with chance of threesome if Aela appears (could also work for Mjoll and other significant NPCs who own rooms) 6) barracks and/or camps of Stormcloaks/imperials (with chance of threesome with guards/soldiers). Best to avoid camp beds in this scenario, since sexlab does not work well in tents 7) threesome with Anneke in her mine at Darkwater Crossing 8) Last but not least, exhibitionist threesomes in taverns. This would work well with the crowds gather mod and the busy taverns mod (both of which are a great combo with each other and with sexlab) Another possibility (indebted to the Horny Followers mod) is to have spouses (and other followers) initiate sex when you converse with them. Horny Folllowers uses the Trade items to do this ("I need something from you first"), which is great, but can be annoying when you are trying to arm a follower just before a big battle. My solution: have a similar dialogue when followers are dismissed or told to follow. On dismissal, follower says: "Is that it? Don't I get a reward for all my loyal service? And I don't mean septims." On being told to follow, follower says: "I'll follow you anywere, but you need to eat some pussy first." A spouse specific variant, answering the player's question "has the shop made any money today?": "Of course I have made money, and I could make a lot more selling the goods that you take for granted. Want to taste my wares?".

I'd like to have the NPCs approach me and ask for it, not just me run around and asking and/or casting spells on everyone i find.
TheDudeGuy Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 "You're a smith, aren't you? Hammer this." This has to be the best line ever and it's totally going in there. Great ideas everyone. I'll look into them tonight and also poke around Lover's Comfort.
Grimbold the unlovely Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I'm happy you like the smith line! Here are some other possibilities, hopefully not too cheesy (but then Skyrim has lots of good cheese): 1: For housecarls, especially (though not exclusively) Lydia: "I am sworn to swallow your loads" 2: For Jordis (or any NPC using "Young Eager" voice), when flashing: "Look at that! A cave! I wonder what could be down there!" Player: "Me. I'm down there." 3. When player asks: "do you have a meal for me?" Spouse replies: "i certainly do, and I hope you're hungry because you are going to be eating for quite some time."
renishi Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 TDG, looking forward to all the new senarios that you will/are going to implement into your mod. thanks.
Sdesser Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Heya! Been lurking around this thread for a few days. First of all, I really appreciate you working on this. I always found the vanilla (and most modded) features for spouses lacking to say the least. Kudos to you! When can we expect a test version (or a full one) to be out? To be honest, I can't wait to test drive this thing! The container thingy sounds awesome! I really hate it when I have to re-organize all my stuff when I move house. The letter thingy would be great. I tend to forget that my character is married and that letter thingy would fix that AND make having a spouse something that you actually need to attend to, which is awesome. Could you perhaps add a feature to suggest your spouse to wear a certain type of clothing? I know it is covered by some other marriage mods, but in all honesty, I'd prefer that there was one mod that did all of that you need for a marriage mod and reading through the features you are covering at the moment.. This one seems way superior to any marriage mods out there. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see the end product! Sincerely, Sdesser
dryuya Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hello, I've set about making a simple, yet robust mod to enhance married life in Skyrim, Spouses Enhanced. Core features: You can ask your spouse to have sex with you. In general, he/she will rarely refuse this offer (contrasted against the mechanics of SexLab Submit, which can sometimes have a very slim chance, depending on many factors). Your spouse will approach you for sex, if a period of X duration has passed without you two making love, when you enter the same cell as your spouse. If you and your spouse aren't home, he/she will meet you at home. Rejecting them or deciding to keep them waiting longer than 24 hours will result in them becoming angry with you for a period, during which they will refuse sex (possibly along with other basic services, like meals). Your spouse has needs too, darn it. Along the lines of the above: your spouse will grow to expect (and approach you for) sex more frequently, the more frequently they receive it over time. Your spouse will grow more adventurous as their needs are consistently met and time passes. I am planning to implement a special wardrobe that will go in your home's interior that you can fill with things you would like your spouse to wear on occasion. If the mood strikes them, they may put some random pieces of it on when they proposition you. You will also be able to simply ask to put on something nice. To get started with, that's the current plan. I'm open for suggestions, however: I don't know enough yet about how multi-spouse mods work, what the best one is, etc. It's just not something I've looked into yet, and I plan to start small. Relationships, love, and sex are complex things. I'm not trying to build a romance simulator, or fulfill every niche desire. I just want to facilitate a man or a woman being able to get it on with their spouse of their choosing in an immersive, straight-forward fashion. The whole thing should feel well-integrated into the game at large. I am a bit limited, dialogue-wise, and I will be sticking to only voiced dialogue on the part of the NPC spouse. There is a pretty wide range of generic dialogue to pull from, but I do not intend any dialogue to be unvoiced. I would like to support DLC-based followers that can become spouses through other mods (such as Serana), but the focus right now will be marriable NPCs in the base game, or other NPCs that use the base voice types. With all of that in mind, let me know your suggestions, and I'll see what I can do and respond. I've already started to build out the dialogue tree, and should hopefully have a "basic" version of the mod done rather soon. Thanks, TDG I was about to say I'd offer my help...being married for almost ten years now. Doubly so when I saw the idea and how often there would be sex and thought "yeah right!" Then I reconsidered...realizing I am incapable of bringing anything to the table that isn't an absolute buzz kill that wouldn't be much fun. Things such as... -scheduling sex every morning of Morndas or another day -dread meters for times when you need to have sex but really don't want to for various reasons such as -weight gain from either party over the course of the marriage -forced to stop for many reasons. Waking the baby or leaving your newborn unattended for too long, barking dog, kettle fire left on and possibly resulting in burning stew -some kind if anxiety meter caused by using up precious free time you no longer have after a hard days work and possibly attending to a child -the smell -some way to implement emotional and ugly arguments when either party is in some way unsatisfied or unfulfilled or "caught faking" -the nasty "kill me please" feeling of all of the above when trying to have a new child, or (cringes) trying to have sex WHILE she's pregnant. So yeah being overqualified makes me unqualified I think
Pet1Pet Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 @dryuya. Great stuff. But you are not helping...

GarethBlack Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I agree that I cannot wait to see this mod either. I know you are not wanting to stray into 'relationship sim' territory, but perhaps you might have some wooing to increase the internal relationship meter? Perhaps the giving of gifts, such as gems, jewelry, sweet cakes? Or perhaps with compliments? Similarly, perhaps add spicy talk before or during sex? Perhaps what starts as simple missionary can turn into some rough anal play with a coy 'assassin' reference? (rogues do it from behind, after all).

There's a ton of people who would like to see their own personal preferences added to mods in development, and won't lose a chance to jump in and go like "hey, why don't you add this and that"... I hope you stick to your own vision and don't start adding any cheesy unnecessary stuff, to be honest. Will be following this, it could easily become the second SL-based mod I actually play with (the first being Submit for the reason stated above).
Khaine69 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I whole heartedly agree. Please continue to design this as you intended, this mod is basically the exact thing i was looking for when i stumbled onto this site and found your post. I for one cannot wait to beta test and/or become an offical user of this wonderful contribution to the community
TheDudeGuy Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 Thanks for the support everyone. Regarding when to expect it: I am trying to wrap up 1.0 currently. I am fighting a few issues regarding making sure that the mod starts up correctly, doesn't do strange things the second you say your vows, making sure I know where the spouse is supposed to be currently living, and making accommodations for when the spouse is also a follower. Basically, logistical issues. The core of it is done, but it needs polish. I want to say that it could be done by this week, but we'll see. The mod should support other mods that facilitate divorce, in case anyone was wondering. I check who the spouse is on a semi-regular basis. If it changes, things should work pretty normally. Risky / public location action probably won't be in 1.0 in an effort to cap feature creep on the first version. It is something I'd like to do tho. Outfits, and suggesting what to wear, will absolutely be in 1.0. In the end, it's just a matter of quality assurance right now. You can put fears of "Will he finish?!?!" to rest. It's pretty much there, but there are still a lot of little papercuts.

Deathmaw Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Woo looking forward to something vanilla and non rapey!
Kageryu Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Can you implement a multiple marriage system so that you have multiple wives that you need to keep satisfied? It would add a layer of fun difficulty for those who want a polygamy.
Regallag the Perv Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 This seems great, but I've got one question, TheDudeGuy. You said the mod is going to be "Hearthfire aware"; does that mean it's going to require Hearthfire? MCM Options menu please. Particularly one that allows me to turn off spouse sex requests. For those of us in the early game where we haven't invested in shops; these mods that do timed events become a pain. Particularly when you're travelling back and forth across the map to sell stuff to NPCs that still have money. 7 days goes by really quickly. [bolding mine] [Off topic] I just thought I'd mention the Trade and Barter mod. Among other things, it can reduce/eliminate the need to run around finding people who still have money.[/Off topic]
Grimbold the unlovely Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Congratulations, Dudeguy, I have high hopes for this mod.
TheDudeGuy Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 It will not require Hearthfire. At this time, this mod will not implement changes to the way marriage system currently working. It simply uses what is available and extends it to support the features mentioned. That's not to say things can't be enhanced later, but for now that's the plan. Gotta stop adding things and set it free sometime, right?

Not saying that 100 gold a day and a meal ain't nothing, but let's be cereal.
jfraser Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I love this idea as well. I would like to suggest the possibility of cheating. For instance, if you reject your spouse multiple times in a row, they get frustrated and find someone else while you're away (with fun consequences if you happen to walk in on them). On the flip side, they can walk in on you while you're with someone else.
