PLEASE, how do I set up Mantella for NSFW content.

I am dumbfounded. I am absolutely confused and lost and everything.

 

I've been trying to get Mantella NPCs to act like they're not in a safe for work tame children's morning show for two days, to no avail. The instructions are confusing, API this, model that, text to speech the other, web mantella app, what is this language? Please for the love of god, somebody guide me step by step on how to set it up to work for NSFW content, to "jailbreak" as the cool kids say. I already have the mod installed and working perfectly fine. I just need to lift the restrictions it has. i think I need to change the "API" or the "Model" or whatever it is called. But how, please? And thank you.

Get LM studio,(how to make it work local with mantella, detales in original mantella  page https://art-from-the-machine.github.io/Mantella/pages/installation.html) download nsfw language models to Lm studio, start lm studio server, play.

1) It sounds like you have a working AI? whether this is koboldcpp or LM studio or text-generation, you should be able to start that up, and chat with it on your own pc by typing into the web browser interface, without diving into Skyrim and Mantella.

 

2) the AI(whether kobold/LM/text) then needs a set of memories, the .gguf file that contains the neural network that is the result of whatever training set was used. The .gguf will set the tone - was it trained on an encyclopedia and told to avoid certain topics, or was it trained on the writings of Marquis de Sade? This may be the step that is missing. If you're looking for something that isn't vanilla, your AI needs to load something like wizard-vicuna-13b-uncensored-superhot-8k.ggmlv3.q5_K_M.bin or Moistral-11B-v3-Q5_K_M.gguf from https://huggingface.co/TheDrummer/Moistral-11B-v3-GGUF/blob/main/Moistral-11B-v3-Q5_K_M.gguf

 

3) this is where the AI may need to run on your machine, to load the gguf file of your choice, rather than use an online service and their curated models. This is also where the average computer will struggle, the local AI will use huge amounts of GPU capacity. Which could be just slow if you're typing into a chat window, but a nightmare if the GPU is also trying to show you walking through Whiterun.

 

4) still outside skyrim, now try chat/type with the AI ("We are in Skyrim, I am an adventurer, you are lady vampire called Selena, let's discuss ...") / ("We are in Skyrim, I am an adventurer, you are a Nordic barbarian warrior called Farkas, let's discuss ...")

 

5) now consider Mantella integration.

you can edit the Mantella config.ini to allow the AI to ask what the NPC can see.

6) A limitation to Mantella is that it doesn't have a good way of getting the NPC in skyrim to do something. You can talk to the NPC, and the NPC will talk to you, simulating a two way interaction. They will be aware of the world, and if you have given them something they will know. However, if you talk to the NPC and ask them to do something, they might agree but nothing will happen in Skyrim. To have your conversation to cause things to happen, you may need Min_AI rather than Mantella, but let's get Mantella working first.

yup-thanks  to Jim Updating- he explained more detailed, so i think you have no problems to run mantella the way you want.Btw even included LLM models works pretty fine with sub/dom and sex based texts-just use some payed models. for that you should insert few buks into your open router or open Ai accounts...

just stumbled upon this, a whole new rabbit hole to plunge down! thanks for posting all that, will be following it this weekend. does this seem like a good setup or would you recommend something else:

do you have certain models you really like? how do you find them - is there a discord or anything where ppl discuss (other than mantella discord) or you just try them out yourself?

i downloaded em with Lm studio Lama- 3.1- 8b- Lexy- Uncensored, abut also in Lm studios search you can type NSFW, Doninatrix or whatever comes into your head ,if there are model with those words studio will find em for you...And if you are asking about models what you already have in mantella try that one: meta-llama/llama-3.1-70b-instruct | Context: 131k | Cost per 1M tokens: Prompt: $0.10. Completion: $0.28  You must have open router with little credits for that,but  it is low cost model witch not  that bad generates  sex talk  or mild domination rp if you not push to hard(if your texts become to violent it can jam, or stop answering) but in total it works pretty well.Btw if you have mantella brawl installed sometimes  it triggers brawl(npc engages into unarmed fight with player if you push to hard)    https://github.com/Leidtier/MantellaBrawl

if you can offload the AI to a web service, that makes the load on your machine a lot lighter. There are some specific Skyrim AI models, ie Mantella-Skyrim-Llama-3-8B-Q4_K_M.gguf , so that it should have a concept of Khajit/Argonian/Dunmer. I've not tried the mistral model, but the concern would be that if it was trained on generic (not skyrim) sources, then it would understand elf, dwarf but not altmer, dwemer.

 

a 3080 card will run a local koboldcpp, but expect that it will be a heavy load. I'd be cautious on where conversations occur - having a chat in a quiet room in Breezehome will be easier than a chat in the middle of the whiterun market. I also found that the convo was slow, expect 30seconds or more for it to process what you typed, generate a response, and push it through to speech. WIthin skyrim you may want to set the timescale, otherwise a chat with an NPC could take a day in game.

 

Mantella / MinAI :

Mantella is a good place to start, to see if you're getting a better experience in Skyrim. A problem for me was that Mantella didn't work with Fuz Ro D'Oh, which was needed for some other quest mods. A longer term issue was that if I was chatting with the AI, and the chat didn't trigger much in skyrim, then why carry the burden of having Skyrim running? 

MinAI has a lot more interaction, chat can trigger SexLab activity in Skyrim. However, the install can be a lot more complex.

thanks guys. upon further research i'm gonna try chim instead of mantella. will try to get chim setup this weekend, using openrouter & vast.ai to offload llm & xtts. then try different models next week

Update: chim + minai is amazing.

 

Asked Elisif & Falk if they needed help with anything, ended up becoming their tax collector. Went to Fihada the Fletcher to collect and he was grumpy about it, so I turned on the charm, and he turned into an unrepentant flirt. Finally got him to pony up the septims in exchange agreeing to a date at the Winking Skeever.

they can generate quests but they won't be in your journal - you agree in conversation to do something and the NPC remembers it. things like the reward can be negotiated. i'd say it isn't worth it if you're just looking for quests, it's really about putting the rp in rpg
 

i've been very happy with chim + min even if it's finnicky, has a learning curve, takes some manual work to update npc profiles, and costs a bit of $$ to outsource the llm & voice generation since i don't have a next gen or second 3060+ gpu.

 

but probably the future is SkyrimNet, currently in beta. i'll post a discord link in a separate post below cuz i'm not sure if that's allowed

So i'm really late to this party and play fallout 4 I just installed Mantella and have found the sex roleplay to be easy to achieve you have to pick your targets well and sweet talk some npc's or coherse if they are slaves like the ones in Nuka world I used openai the free model options,I went as depraved as I could,the raiders in Nukaworld I played to their personalities,for example I dominated Nisha into submission and impressed Mags with my caps making ability here are the transcripts and  summaries so you get the idea,but i'll warn you again I went fucking hard with them

Can I use those llms for another language than english?
