I re-downloaded the mod I gave you and checked it, but everything appeared to be normal. Consequently, I couldn't confirm what you meant by the damaged mod. The zip below is the video that shows the character in the game

You're actually on the right track, the issue is on my end

I've been using outdated 3dmigoto, and  when I opened XXMI did I realize my ORFIX was not updated. It reminded me is time to use XXMI. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Can someone look into this Xilonen mod by Ming Chen please? It largely works fine, but there is a bit of green under her sleeves and on the outline of her tail. I've tried messing with the ini like was recommended in this thread (swapping ps-t values, adding orfix lines etc), but it either did nothing, or broke it further, turning her entirely green.

Also on an unrelated question, I've seen some people on GB post that their XXMI is getting flagged as an illegal tool and crashing the game. Haven't had a single issue so far and I'm using 3DM.

I need some help on how to edit skin texture using paint.net

I tried editing skin on my mod folder using paint.net but after saving it skin texture becomes plain black. First I opened body diffuse dds file using paint.net and inverted alpha filter. Then made the color changes I needed and inverted alpha filter back to normal and saved the file in the exact location. However, the skin texture didn't work after that. Can someone tell me what I did wrong or how to fix it.

Are you saving the file as "BC7 (sRGB, DX 11+)"? if so and you're still having problems, maybe the mod is old and requires something special, you could try BC6 or maybe BC5, it might work.  I do think I had a problem with some mods (I think older), where I tried to resize the diffuse and ended up with black textures in game, but I didnt do testing I just thought well I wont bother then, so its possible you might just need to find the right output setting and that might be all it is.

 

ps: dont be scared of sharing anything you put effort in, as much as taking credit for mods you didnt make is shameful, if you have taken something and put your own effort in, it is yours and do share it.  Thats how modding is supposed to be, make something you like and share it with others who may also enjoy it.
