Molevalence Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Another Christmas has come and gone, With trading gifts, feast, packed on some pounds, When I look down and see something is wrong, my stomach has grown and became more round! Four more days till a new year dawns, Six days past of constant snow, Shoveling away while whistling songs, Nephews slide down fresh snowbanks with hasty flow. Fifteen weeks of constant work, Is motivation to lose this weight, For now I relax cause come January first, Fourteen hour days & little time for break. So what is everyone's resolution this year? And do you promise yourself to see it through? Let this poem be some motivational cheer, Maybe this picture of me will help some too!
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My new years resolution is to not have a new years resolution......does that even work?
Guest endgameaddiction Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My New Years Resolution is transform into a much stronger and better person I once used to be. No more isolation. No more excuses. Just become persistence and a more ambitious person towards my accomplishments. I've taken life for granted and have kept myself tamed too long. No more letting rejection get to me.
Thulas Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My new year's resolution is the same like this year: 1920 x 1024
Ark of Truth Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Mine is to not put too much faith in people, that way I won't be disappointed then things don't happen.
FallenWarrior Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Mine is to not put too much faith in people, that way I won't be disappointed then things don't happen. Mine has been the same for the last two years
Teechan Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I usually don't do resolutions, but things that happened this year (especially since the beginning of November) told me otherwise. Actually, I'm already working on them: First and foremost, my main goal for 2014 is to gain financial independence, save up, move out and move on from a depressing and unsatisfying relationship. I'm also taking this year to do a lot of self study on creative things and focus on getting back into shape.

ratrace Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 My resolution: No resolutions as always. They only put pressure on you, make you feel that you are not "good" enough because you still want to fucking improve and improve and improve. This delusional idea of "everything is possible" needs to fucking die. I can only tell you (and myself): you're perfect the way you are. Happy new year folks!
maybenexttime Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Study harder, eat healthier, exercise more but I doubt that will last more than a week...
xartom Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Get better at foreign languages and maybe pick up coding.
psammeticus Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I don't really see them as "resolutions" per se, but more of an opportunity to reflect on the progress of long-term goals and adjust accordingly. The main focus of next year is finishing up retirement planning and figuring out what the hell my second career is going to be.

Resolutions for me almost never come true or they just end up putting too much pressure on me.

I thought I was alone thinking this. But yeah, totally agree. I guess is to much to ask, but if we could get rid of the monetary system, and this so called political system (you know, giving you the illusion that you have rights) and give freedom back to people, 2K14 might turned out to be a really awesome year. Ops! Silly me, it will never happen.
Molevalence Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 My new years resolution? I have a few actually. 1. Lose the belly. 2. Gain some confidence. 3. Begin my search for a girlfriend. (Maybe... no promises)
