Modders will either assemble a custom UE version roughly based upon the components the developers used for their models and materials or they design a script code to spoof the processes used in the custom build, for example sometimes armatures need to be imported/exported in 3D modeling software using a game specific script. Sometimes both methods are necessary. I'm aware that at least RE4 Remake and FFVII Remake needed a host of preparations such as these for model imports to function in their respective games.

 

This is a broad simplification but hopefully it gives you insight on what has to be done before successful imports are viable. Believe me there are definitely modders working on this right now, but it takes a lot of trial and error usually.

Man, i just need a mod for Tifa with modeled ass + thong, nothing else. It's sad too look underher skirt and see The Void. And same for Aerith. That laced panties mod is good, but looks like my grandma's, lol. Let the girl show some ass!

Yes I too am aware of that issue as well and as unfortunate as it is. I did however find out that this barefoot Aerith mod from the same user seems too work fine so far without any of the T-posing issue: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7rebirth/mods/134

 

Apparently the issue for her default dress barefoot mod is being looked into but might take some time as the modder does not have the capabilities too fix it atm.

Skyrim mods caused too many unrealistic expectations on other games. PITA.

if I were to guess why, its probably because Hoyo games are made on the Unity engine. Unity engines are a million times more modular/moddable

It's prob gonna be a huge task, but I wonder if anyone would consider basically making a nudist mod for Rebirth when the modding tools get developed.  Or at least a nudist Costa Del Sol mod. Obviously, all the main characters are getting nuded, but it just reminds me of that nudist mod Cyberpunk used to have, and it really enhanced the experience. It just makes it feel even more immersive when it's not just the characters you're playing that are running around naked but almost everyone else

The mod we really need is one to import a character from Skyrim who'll join the party and accompany Aerith everywhere, parry that strike and hold the guy off while she runs, and maybe if you speedrun the rest of the game they're still fighting there when you're ready to kick his arse.
