i see nexus keeps adding more aerith mods and nothing for tifa, is the tools needed for tifa modding not available yet or what?

I'm at Gongaga, saved right before crossing the river to it with the buggy, preordered the game and I have been taking my time, taking in the atmosphere and feeling each area, doing every side quests and world intel, getting rank 3 to every minigames, revealing as much of the map as possible by running into walls like a dumbass, basically 100% each region because I'm an unemployed slob.

 

Might actually beat the game before we get any fat titties mod for Tifa.

 

Best Tifa mod for Remake on the Nexus IMO : https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/669 because it's so close to how she looked in those PS1 cutscenes in the OG FF7, if anyone could just port it to Rebirth.

 

First thing I tried after downloading the game was to put this mod's files into the ~mods folder of Rebirth but it didn't work.

Any news on the progress of getting modding tools ready enough to edit and swap meshes? I'm afraid I'll 100% the game before a nude mod is even available. lol.

Same, i was saving good amount of exploration for when Nude mods are available but game is so good that I might 100% it before any nude mod comes

Luckily I take my sweet sweet time with any game, playing it slowly and well given I have the back log of shame, a mountain of game's waiting too be finished, one day it's this, one day it's that ect. I know most people here is eager for all the ladies too be undressed, I'd personally just be happy for Tifa's default and her swimsuit too be barefoot really🥲 not even concerned about nudity as much but that is ofc the icing on the cake as they say lol. After taking screen shot's of her feet with the swimsuit costume, I did noticed that the feet on that model of Tifa is of more higher quality then the one in that cut-scene where she is laying down, probably because this model of Tifa and Aerith, was intended too be seen at all time's even during game play not just in scene's, so makes sense as too why they look much better on the swimsuit model. But yeah here's hoping there can be some modding development's sooner rather then later for Rebirth, everybody is starving lmao.

This is all I need, just seeing her feet is the greatest thing ever. Oh the screen shot's ima take while in combat oh yeah..that said this was very unexpected but I really hope everyone else is able too also enjoy Rebirth in the way they would like too with the mods everyone is looking forward but as far as mods go, this is everything I was hoping for and then some, exactly like how I envisioned it. Not identical of course, but similar in style.
Maybe for Aerith and Yuffie a bra and in everything is not necessary
And of course piercings and tattoos should be absent I suppose

The Tifa/Aerith barefoot standard outfit replacer mod is causing issues for some with Aerith T posing and being unusable in combat. Tifa works though.

Is mesh editing even possible for this game? I feel like if there's a way it would be found by now given it's still Unreal Engine 4. Does it work if you simply extracted the game with fmodel and then replaced the models in the loose files?

It's a bit more complicated than that, Rebirth uses a customized version of UE4 that is different from the customized version that Remake used. If the version that the mod is cooked in doesn't match up with the custom version the game runs on, there will be crashes, infinite loading screens, or the game will outright ignore the modified files altogether. That's why it typically takes a few weeks to see custom mesh mods appear for the FFVII Remake games and other games that use customized UE builds.

I'm curious to learn, what specifics in terms of barriers needs to be overcome to allow for this? Instead of cooking them in the correct version of UE after bringing the assets into the engine, what do they do? I assume modders don't have their hands on Square Enix's version. That was I initially asked whether it's even possible for meshes to be edited if a custom ue4 is being used.

Judging by the nexus page for Remake, looks like the first mods hit on Dec 17 2021 and it wasn’t till a little ways into January that mesh changes started. So I expect it’ll take similar time.
