The original plan of this project was to use AI assistance combined with hand-drawing to copy the art style of Sen no kiseki series for re-drawing the character portraits of Kai no kiseki. However, the AI did not meet my expectations well. After attempting to redraw one or two images by myself, I found the results unsatisfactory. So I gave up to copy the style and used my own drawing style to modify the AI-rendered images instead, aiming to unify the artistic style as much as possible (though for my poor painting skill, the outcome is still not ideal).

Due to the enormous workload, the current version only guarantees one portrait per character. For details, please refer to the preview images.

There are 2 type of the mod: SFW  & NSFW.

And the NSFW mod is divided into two versions. The normal version is the semi-nude portraits, and the extra version is one with piercing and pubic hair added due to personal preference (please note if you mind this). You can check them in preview images.

 

Install: Just select the version you want.  Then copy the "asset" folder to "game root" and overwrite them. Remember to backup the original files.

PS: Due to the sudden increase in the amount of drawing I've undertaken and my less-than-ideal pen grip, I'm experiencing symptoms of tendinitis in my hand. I don’t have any plans for that at the moment.😅，The upcoming DLCs will likely feature unique outfits for certain characters—costumes that are exclusive and specially tailored for them.

If I end up buying Kai no Kiseki, I’m definitely planning to get your mod for it as well.

 

Anyway, I wanted to ask — do you have any plans to port the Kai no Kiseki models to Kuro no Kiseki 1 and 2?
I’m not familiar with modding, so I don’t know how difficult that would be, and I apologize if it’s a tough or sensitive question.
But I’d really love to experience those models in Kuro as well.

I'm considering porting these mods, but I think the outfits need some differentiation. It's similar to what I did with Trails of Cold Steel IV and Trails into Reverie — the later game had slightly more outfits than the previous one to keep things feeling fresh. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this. Should we add some variation, or just port the outfits from Kai no Kiseki into Kuro 1 or Kuro 2 exactly as they are?

Personally, I think it’s great to have a bit of uniqueness for each title — like you said, it helps keep things feeling fresh as the series progresses.
Since the Trails series pretty much requires players to go through the previous games to enjoy the latest ones, adding some variation to the models across games that share assets would be a big plus for mod users.
Of course, the main concern is the workload — but if you’re able to do it without overburdening yourself, as someone who uses your mods, I’d just be incredibly grateful.

你可能是购买了正版的游戏但是没有购买DLC，你需要打正版DLC补丁，然后再复制1.03mod升级补丁。

I save the end of each chapter on a separate slot, this should start you off at the intermission.

 

BTW does the camera bug out for anyone else when using certain crafts in tight spaces, like dungeons or indoors, when having the Force Pause Action enabled on the free camera trainer? The camera zooms out very far to the point where I can see the whole map from out of bounds.
