Enemy boarding!  Surrendering to ships!  That's worth a mod all by itself!

you go to debug cell and use console to change - there is description in file description page, but if it does not work let me know. It should let you change threshold by 5% at a time. 

 

Or, you could open in CK and adjust global directly maybe.

as it was stated as changeble, i thought i´d ask first, before fiddling with CK...  still have no real grip with it....

thought it could be done by a console command..

but now, that i know abut the Debug cell( i missed that part) i try there...

its somewhere need to find the link
Bethesda already completed 50% but scrapped it due to how it was handled

There is one but it hasn't been updated in a year so I don't think its that reliable at this point.

A mod, I was waiting for. I tried to give it a shot. I unpacked it to my data folder. Starting the game, I got a message, that NAFSurrender is updated.

But the command "aaSurrenderCell" is not known. Any idea what I do wrong?

I probably missunderstood something.

Are you typing 'asSurrenderCell' into console? Or is this message come up without you doing anything?

 

If first one, you should type

 

coc aasurrendercell

 

(coc is 'center on cell' and tell console to teleport you)

 

If second, I am not sure. There is no aasurrendercell command that autorun.

Thank you! It was the first one- I can enter the test cell, now. I misunderstood you explanation in the readme.

But as I am not familliar with the console commands, I can not get out 😀. I guess, I just need to load?

Game crashed on the 1st attempt after typing "tcai" into the console, but worked fine on the 2nd. I got "stuck" in combat and could not land on a planet after heading back to the ship, but resetting at the console did the trick.

It is a good start. Keep up the great work!

That is strange. Question: what other mods do you have installed and were you partway through quest or had many companions with you?

 

Trying to find out what causes user crashes before next update. Thanks!

Just going to throw my two cents in - if users who are experiencing crashes install the Trainwreck mod, that will generate a log in "Documents/My Games/Starfield/SFSE/Crashlogs" whenever a crash occurs. With one of those crash logs, I can most likely track down the cause.

 

If the cause of the crash is NAF, then one of those logs is especially useful, as I can then fix the problematic code.

This is my modlist at that time. Nothing too fancy. It might be, that something else was off- I remember, that the constallation space suit was not displayed at the save of the first attempt. The second attempt was some days later and constallation suit worked just fine. So the crash might be a symtom and not the cause. However, I am happy to help. Edit 2: I got Barret as companion. But I left him behind, so he did not take part in the fight.

I should include the Trainwreck mod.

 

Edit: the jpeg doesn´t work. So, the old fashioned way:

Difficult to know what is causing it. Best idea would be if you can get a repeatable crash at a certain situation, then try with just NAF, address library, CCF, and the plugins enabler, see if still crashes. If does not crash with minimal mod setup, it is a mod conflict with one of other mod (but I do not know what), if it still crashes, not sure. 

 

What is your load order? Might try removing NAF surrender, saving, reinstalling NAF surrender at end of load order (are you use esp or esm version of the mod?)

 

Can you play NAF animation from console without trouble? If using console to trigger animation from animation pack causes crash (or does not work) that make troubleshooting easier.

That is good to know!

 

Also, I am meaning to ask: is there a function in NAF to check to see if an NAF animation is already playing (like an IsAnimating bool or other thing?) If there is I can use that to keep my mods from triggering if another NAF animation already playing.

Okay, I got two crashes in a fight with Barrett at my side. But after the first one I installed Trainwreck and got a log of the second crash (see attached). Maybe, you can make use of it.

I use the esm version of the mod- will move it at the end of the list and check your other ideas.

As it already played an NAF animation, that should not be an issue, but I will check it, anyway. Thank you for your help. 

 

Edit: I moved the plugin down the list as far as possible (could not get it below esp plugins). Now, it worked twice. I will keep an eye on it.

That is interesting. I do not know what the log actually mean (I am not actually tech person, I just do this because no one else does), but maybe someone else can say. 

 

Can you post load order? If something is conflict with this mod, it would be helpful to know so I can say in the mod page.

There is GetCurrentAnimation, which will return an empty string if the actor isn't playing a NAF animation. (if they are playing one, then it'll return the animation file path.)

Funny thing: My load order was reseted. So this is, how it looked like, yesterday.

I just pushed down NAFSurrender. BBL ist disabled and all SFBGS plugins are not active.

 

I am really happy, that you picked up the staff and try to make Starfield a better place 😉 (at least for the players- not necessariely for the PCs). I will assist with my feedback.

I utilize LOOT (with Vortex) to sort my plugin order and it always places BlueprintShips - Starfield.esm last no matter what mods I add.   You may want to update to the latest version and update your masterlist.  Hope this helps.
