Interesting idea - I wanted the outcomes to be relatively unobtrusive to gameplay but also applicable to people playing without WW (although I don't mind having an outcome just for WW and leave vanilla without one). Autonomous sex might also be tricky when accounting for the preferences and relationship system of WW. I do want to do something like this though, with some actual outcome to it depleting fully so just need to try out a few different ideas. 

 

Re. Sex Addict, this meter depletes over about 3 days, so the 'short' version should hopefully line up okay with the status of the meter, but it might not be that depleted by 12 hours. The long version probably wouldn't line up as by stage 2 the meter would probably be fully depleted. The only potential issue with mods like this is basically whether they make sense - technically they'll all be compatible unless they mess with the motives/needs meters. Feel free to trial it out though and let me know

Yeah, I can understand that after the lovestruck patch, a lot of things have changed in WW and sims 4 in general, I would just love to see some WW related consequence of the meter fully depleting, maybe it's not fully autonomous and you get a text message or prompt by the sim npc who's meter has fully depleted, or it could also be random like the "casual sex partner" option in WW. As for the "Sex addict" mod I tested it out with your mod and nothing wrong seems to be happening, both mods are functioning as they should, but then again I haven't been testing for too long so maybe this isn't a definite result.

Really love the idea of your mod, i think you should implement some gameplay stuff, like sexual frustration, consequences for refraining from sex, anger towards partner for not providing sex, infidelity etc.

I'm currently looking into a couple of options but I do want to keep it lightweight for compatibility reasons - especially as it's not fully integrated into WW (so I'm trying to avoid potential conflicts with its features, and with mods like Nisa's). I'm currently looking specifically at an outcome for the meter fully depleting (failure outcome), although at the moment I can't actually seem to get any of my ideas to work haha

 

Hopefully will have some kind of update in the next couple weeks if I can figure something out

Hi! So I tried using this, but I didn't want to add the trait in CAS (I'm using Sims I've used for a while and don't want to have to change that aspect). So instead I was going to add it in-game using MCCC, but I couldn't find it on there for some reason. Is there any other way to add the trait, or do I have to give it via CAS? Thanks!

 

ETA: I examined the file in S4S to grab the trait name, and was able to manually add it to my Sims using the cheat "traits.equip_trait SBF_Arousaltraits_SexDrive". Hope this helps others, too!

Hello I came to check out the update and its EXCELLENT!
You did a wonderful on this update and I am loving it thus far! You took my suggestions on board so flawlessly and improved them! (As well as also following your want to keep it non WW friendly!)
For some reason I cant quite quote that reply to me when you alerted me to the update I genuinely think this is so wonderful!

Like Mia_D096 said some degree of autonomy would serve this mod well!
Not necessarily due to wanting more, but rather during play I have made a save where almost everyone has this trait, but it has led to a situation where everyone seems to be dazed/tense all the time now. Obviously, this isnt as much of a problem on an active household that the player is playing but coming across other sims can make it rather difficult and (semi) illogical to hand socialization with other sims. On larger households it can also be a bit demanding to handle due to the number of sims and lack of autonomy and needing to fire off a full WW animation for each sim.

If suggestions are up again:
Low Arousal encourages sims to seek out WW interactions with others or themselves (Watch porn with computer?)

Low Arousal Sims are more open to flirts etc

If seeking to keep it non WW, perhaps some new stock interactions that are light weight "solo woohoos" could be added.

Some other stock interactions that cover bases

If Turbodriver in the future added a new "Watch Porn" interaction to Sim phones it could actually help alleviate the autonomy problem somewhat as there'd be a very simple interaction any sim could seek out, but obviously thats more a suggestion for Turbodriver.

Hi MEyah, glad you like the update! Yeah I have a list of ideas I'm working on - it's a bit of a balance to keep it relatively lightweight and getting autonomy to work as intended. I noticed an update to Nisa's that included autonomous masturbation with the desire meter for the succubus so I might have a poke around and see how that was done for inspiration

Thanks, yeah the trait is called "Sex Drive" for human sims. Sorry the S4S labelling might be a bit off (it used to be called 'lust'). I normally just use Shift+Click to add the trait manually rather than through MCCC but that does mean scrolling down to find it in a long list. Thanks for noting the cheat though!

I think, I found a bug.

I have a sim with "Sex Drive" trait. She was turned into a spellcaster in the Magic Realm.
The trait changed to "Occult Lust" trait, as predicted.
But: When my sim leave the Magic Realm, the trait changed back to "Sex Drive" trait, and the arousal meter value was changed too.

Bug 2:

Wuith Nisa's Wicked Perversions, I tried to use the Ex-Ta-See Nail Polish with my spellcaster sim. After that, the Sex Drive trait disappeared, and I cannot add it again. (The cheat didn't work.)

But if I tried with a normal human sim, the trait remained.

Thanks for the detailed bug report. I don't actually own this expansion so I haven't playtested that well with it, but I'll take a look at the files and see if I can work out what's going on (I have a feeling I just attached this to the wrong thing) - In terms of Nisa's mod, there's obviously some weird conflict happening that I'll look into.

Version 3.1 should fix this issue. After implementing the fix for bug 1, bug 2 I couldn't replicate so I'm hoping they were caused by the same issue. Let me know if you have any other problems with the spellcaster pack

I've been having some issues with the trait. The name of the trait and the arousal meter itself appears blank; granted, I have the game in spanish, but the problem still persists even with the translation patch. I have removed all other mods except WW, the arousal meter and Lot51 core and deleted localthumbcache to no avail.

I can confirm (as mentioned by the author) that this is a translation issue. For some reason, a few translations are missing for any language that is not the original English. I personally fixed this for me with the Sims 4 translator tool. To make it clear, this happens when you play this game not in English.

I'm using lot51 with the phone 2.0 update and my arousal meter still won't replenish after receiving a satisfied moodlet.

 

The mod is installed correctly. Occult lust was added in CAS. 

 

I'm not sure whats going wrong. Help appreciated.

Nevermind. 

 

Note: I was having issues with just the lot51 core, it didn't work. Once I added the 2.0 phone update it worked perfectly. If anyone else is having issues try that first.

 

I also found that if you're already running an advanced sim with a lot of traits you first have to remove them until there's a free slot under CAS, add occult lust, then shift click and add your missing traits back through cheats. I'd personally recommend you use this mod on a brand new sim to avoid the issue all together - but there is a way to make it work regardless.

 

Hope this helps someone who needs it.

The frustrated moodlet doesn't remove once satisfied.

 

Is there a fix for this?

 

Happens to all my sims. I've been forced to remove moodlet with cheats to override this but I'm hoping there's a more permanent solution.

 

It also instantly reverts the trait back to sex drive when you visit any other properties for ALL sims in the household your visiting from. It does not correct upon returning home and you have to re-add in CAS. It's quite annoying.

 

May delete until fixed.

Sorry for the late reply, I've had some personal stuff going on so haven't really been keeping up with the mod of late. Thanks for flagging this, I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what's going wrong, although I can't promise an exact timeframe. 

 

I don't believe there's any issues with the more recent updates and patches, so it's either an issue with how I did it at the time or some kind of conflict. For my reference can you list any other traits you have on (just major gameplay ones) and any other gameplay mods you have installed? (again, only major ones that might interact with it, like anything custom traits, etc.)

 

To be honest, occult stuff has always been a bit temperamental with this mod but I do want it to work so I will investigate when I find the time
