and from terms of skills, its Limited to your Frame, Like Mag can use Magitics, Loki can use Tricks, like Decoy, or Switch spots with allis or emeyrs, the Excalber has sword styped skills, like Slash dash, Blind, incree jump, and Jovelen,

 

But you can Mod your gear and frames, like more Health, Sheilds, for Main and sub weapons, its increased Damage, Crit chang, Crit change, and Bullet types (Fire, Lightning, Ice, Poison, and you can mix the 2, like take Ice and Lightning and it makes Magnic, with rips tho shields, the same can be done with your Melee weapon,

If you can get Dark Souls it may be worth it considering the servers go down in 5-6 months (dark souls 2 will be out then) shame you missed it on the steam sale it was 80% off and it's my fav RPG of PS3/360 generation.

 

Outside of the Final Fantasy 7 and 8 are on steam and I had fun doing the achievements ^^. 

 

Best advice I'd give is this, wishlist all the games you want on steam and they will email you when there on sale.

Well...someone already mentioned Deus Ex...I second that. I played the hell of this game and never got bored. For some great story try the Legacy of Kain series...i.e. Blood Omen 1/2, Soul Reaver 1/2 and LoK Defiance. Want something just for shits and giggles? Try any LEGO game..or Saints Row.. And if you're into RPGs...Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning seems to be a fine one.

Actually, cod copied off of the battlefield series, battlefield 1942 was out long before cod1, then came battlefield vietnam, then battlefield 2, then 2142, bad company, bad compny 2, and 1943 fits in there somewhere, but my point is, battlefield 3 was a shitty battlefield 2 with awesome graphics, and bf4 brought back a ton of the bf2 core features *cough commandermode cough*  can't tell you how much fun I have had being commander in bf2 and dropping supply packs onto teammates and giving assholes on my tteam a bit of negative arty reinforcement... deatth

 

 

honestly, i liked call of duty, stopped buying the games after 3, tried out modern warfar, it was ok, the mp sucked, it was just a damn infantry slugfest, and I lose interest in infantry only games quickly, which is probably why I tend to stick to battlefield, well, until ea fucks that up too, which is inevitable, look at simcity and command and conquer.... something about a quote by George Santayana- "Those who can't remember the past are doomed to repeat it"

I would suggest the Neverwinter Nights titles if you like single player rpg's. It is a bit aged though, and neverwinter nights 2 and its expansions left much to be desired . If you haven't checked it out yet they have neverwinter nights diamond edition for like 9.99$ or something on good old games. Lots of good cheap titles there if you are looking for something fun. As far as first person shooters go, I am still playing Unreal Tournament. To me it was one of the first and greatest shooting games, nothing has been able to come close to its style of gameplay yet, and I don't really care for the direction most shooters are taking nowadays anyway.

Oh and if you have a PS3 there is one really fun RPG game called Heavy Rain, I played through it with a buddy and it was a blast. Definitely worth checking out.

Neverwinter Nights was the first one I believe, came out in 2002 (I think), Its very heavily DnD based, with dice rolls/saving throws, but not so much that it diminishes the roleplay elements of the game.
