brown66 Posted September 21, 2024 Author Posted September 21, 2024 (edited) EDIT: The video link is now working again. It seems to me that its author redid (cut...) some parts. ____________________________________________________________________ Not my video. Sorry! But I think that I know what happened. It was a video made with artificial intelligence, using parts of the animations from the Heavy Metal 2000 DVD. Therefore, it was most likely removed for copyright reasons. It's a shame, because it was interesting and even inspiring work for anyone who wanted to make a mod. Any way, for the same whiners, I leave here another video that's mine and that shouldn't go private so soon. Warning! It has nudity. Edited September 21, 2024 by brown66
azmodan22 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Whiners? You do realise that if Starfield looked like thatt it propably would have made more than a Billion dollars right? 😇 2
nIn nIn nIn Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Starfield would NEVER look like that vanilla - Bethesda do not make NSFW games. Never have and never will. Besides the whiners only whine about the "citizen" potato NPC's - which are a performance compromise. The vanilla character and named NPC's are the best looking BGS has ever made in any of their games. As for earnings? they "sold" 14 million separate copies in the first month (according to their own press statements) the majority on Gamepass. Note that Starfield is the first BGS game to get a gamepass release on launch. I would love it if ships looked like that video (I saw if before it was blocked), and of fucking course I would love to see the player and NPC bodies and clothing seen in the video as well. Mods will deliver that eventually. We can build ships fairly close by merging parts, so, that vision (video) is already in progress. Starfield Fleet Expansion at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) Whiners and haters gonna hate. Edited September 22, 2024 by nIn nIn nIn 3

DocClox Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that actually likes the look and feel of Starfield ships. Behold: The Kundalini! Reborn in anticipation of a visit to Va'ruun'kai in the near future!

BTW that mod I linked, the comments warn about editing the ships (after the "bug" was patched out. My ini tweak let me do whatever I wanted in the ship builder on those ships without any issues. You just need to be careful not to merge the structural parts into habs - that causes weirdnesses inside the ship.
nIn nIn nIn Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Your not the only one DocClox. I'm still only using the vanilla ship parts, not using any of the mod added shipyard parts like Matjilda for eg. Using this one (the AIO file is newest version) Engines Reactors and Gravdrives at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) to avoid needing more than one reactor. I'm only using additional reactors when low level. Which often has follow on need for more landing gear. Just role playing in my own little way. brown66 Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 It's funny! I see a lot of people excited about building ships, but I see few people talking about building outposts. It's the latter that I've been thinking about trying for a while now.

There's quite a good Reddit sub dedicated to outpost building, and some of the ones I've seen look amazing. That said, whatever effort you invest is lost to you on NG+, which I must admit, discourages me from trying to get too clever. Basically: forget Fallout 4 settlements. Outposts are best treated as popup automated mining camps. You'll build one for cheap, plentiful resources, probably add a shipbuilder, and some habs with workstations and a bed. If you get really flash, you can make multi-system pipelines to manufacture top end components that sell for good money and earn decent xp. Just remember though that after NG+ you'll have it all do again. Also, it's difficult to get them looking good. Multi level structures are only possible with by exploiting a glitch, and lighting is awful. There are mods that help, of course, but most of the cool outposts I've seen have relied on grabbing interesting doodads from all over the Systems, and artfully arranging them. It's worth mentioning that you can scrap an outpost with zero loss of materials. So you can build a site with a shipbuilder, crafting stations, bounty board, etc., and then scrap it and keep the bits it the ship hold. Then if you need facilities out in the wilds, you can build it again and scrap it afterwards. Edited September 23, 2024 by DocClox Typos galore. Object lesson why you shouldn't post from your phone in a hurry.

I already made NG+ one time, and I don't intend to make it again for a long time. Not until I discover and finish all the missions that Starfield has. So far, the problem is that I'm already suspecting that there are some missions that sometimes do not appear during certain gameplay, with no apparent reason.
DocClox Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 I've not noticed any missing missions. Some of the ones you get from random NPC comments can be a bit shy, but you can generally discover the locations by yourself. Anything particular you're missing?
brown66 Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 In my first playthrough, I met an elderly woman walking in the gardens of New Atlantis who asked me to look for an old friend, I think in Cydonia. In this second playthrough I have walked through these gardens several times and this woman never appears. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of this elderly woman or the name of this quest. And I can't find information about this on the internet! In this second playthrough, I did a quest called The Kindness of Strangers (head down to The Well, visit the House of Enlightenment and speak with Andy Singh). After finishing that quest, and if you were a good person during that mission, when you pass a guard, he will say something that will lead to the beginning of another small quest, one that has two alternative endings and that for me was one of the more interesting things to discover at Starfield. This quest is called Two Tales, Two Cities and is a continuation of the previous quest. The problem is that The Kindness of Strangers quest never appeared for me during the first playthrough, so I also couldn't, at the time, play the Two Tales, Two Cities quest. But what's bothering me the most is that the second quest that Nyssa Marcano was supposed to give me (Liquid Assets) and in this second playthough there's no way to give it to me.
brown66 Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 (edited) Forget what I said above! I did some research on the internet just now and discovered that we only have access to the Liquid Assest quest and the subsequent quest if we first do the All That Money Can Buy quest, a quest that is part of the game's main quest. And I chose not to do the main quest again in this second playthough! Damn, I have to do NG+ again!😒 Apparently, depending on whether or not you choose to redo the main quest when you do NG+, there are secondary quests in the next playthrough that may not appear. I didn't know this despite playing the game almost every day for over a year! Well, today I'm going to do NG+ again... There I go, having to play endless hours of the game, repeating the same personal missions from Andreja and Sarah, very carefully, and then being able to marry the two girls at the same time, just now that they had both agreed to live in bigamy with me. And on top of that, just now that Shattered Space is about to come out! Damn, damn, damn!🤬 Edited September 23, 2024 by brown66
