GPU c° CTD?

Hi.

I have been having some CTD that seems to be related to the GPU'c° well, at least that is what it looks like in skyrim performance monitor, after the CTD I would look at the last registered stats, and the GPU temp is somewhere above 60° tops 77° so far, so my question is if skyrim can indeed CTD because of that or maybe is something else? The CTD has happened so far while walking on the overworld and in the loading screen form an inside location to the overworld. I think it's alos worth noting that the Disk I/O seems a bit high compared to the other values (min max and current) maximun is 100-ish MB, while the average is 4 or 5.

Oh, and since we are here, I noted that in the settings, the difficult is not showing correctly, it shows $Legendary instead of Legendary, I know that when a $ appears before text, it means the ENGLISH TRANSLATION txt file is wonky, so I went to look at it, tried to find the word using the search function but apparently is not there, master and lower are though, so no clue there, and yes, only that text in the whole game has shown the $ symbol.

The game has crashed while using, AND not using ENBoost.

Also, don't know if this matters, since I had CTD before and after, but I set UgridtoLoad to 4.

Thanks in advance.

crash to desktop while walking, sound to me more like generating world space is the cause, then temperture. 77 does not crash your game. try lowering you videocard setting. and see if that makes it better.

I have a 7850 and it crashes after 5-10 minutes using the standard fan settings. It wasn't hitting 100% speed until 67c so I set it to 100% at 50c and have not had an issue with it since. If you think it is an issue then change the fan speed and see if it fixes it.

I mean I have the pc version, as in, the actual physical disk, I didn't get it through steam, I don't like buying this kind of games in digital format, I don't trust it.

Well, as long as you DON'T forget your steam login, or somehow get hacked, there's nothing to worry about. You can re-download it as many times as you need.

What I don't like about it, is that you don't actually own the game, like you would any cartridge or disc, and this is not me being paranoid, I read the terms of service on steam, and it says you're only purchasing a temporal license and I quote:

"2. LICENSES

A. General Software License

Steam and your Subscription(s) require the automatic download and installation of Software onto your computer. Valve hereby grants, and you accept, a limited, terminable, non-exclusive license and right to use the Software for your personal, non-commercial use (except where commercial use is expressly allowed herein or in the applicable Subscription Terms) in accordance with this Agreement, including the Subscription Terms. The Software is licensed, not sold. Your license confers no title or ownership in the Software. To make use of the Software, you must have a Steam Account and you may be required to be running the Steam client and maintaining a connection to the Internet."

So basically, you're just renting the games, but that's besides the point and only my opinion don't liking buying games like that.

You can set steam offline mode mod the game with 100 mods and play for years on end seems to me you own the game then hehe.

Steam have nothing to say about your game only that you run it ones through steam maintain internet connections is not needed.

Sort of cover so when steam go down they are covered when someone wanne sue them.

Oh, and btw, I did set my papirus bEnableLogging=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 all to one, but I don't know where the log is created, I guesses on a folder called log in the same folder your saves folder is at, but it has nothing inside, did I do something wrong?

How long did you play the game with enabled Papyrus Log?

Try again. Sometimes it doesn't create a log. I don't know why..

Logs are located in ...\my games\skyrim\logs

If you look under the posted specs, urielmanx7 has a GTX 660 2GB. The load order is also posted in the opening post. Though a more detailed load order would say more.

Did you run BOSS and create a bash patch OP?
