Excellent. I made the edits to my previous post. Thank you.

I always wanted to make a setup with no NPC, with the world populated only by monsters like after some apocalypse, but i never found the time to do it so its great t osee a mod like that already exists. I recommend going full survival with this, with some sort of needs and warmth mod plus Campfire and Hunterborn. Running now with SunHelm, I ditched Frostfall/RND combo which I was using for years. Frostfall was giving me performance hickups late game when the weather was changing. I also am using Loot and Degradation with pretty harsh settings, so I have reason to actually take care of my equipment and can potentially lose it in a fight if it breaks. Be aware though, in Shattered there are no quests, no NPC's, no nothing. Some dungeons still contain vanilla enemies and bandits, but stuff in cities is inaccessible, including interiors, and so are all the unique quest items. There are animals, Draugr, an occasional warlock and a handful of hostile orc hunters. I decided to not use World Eater for my first run. May change it later. Edited July 29, 2024 by belegost

I use the tempered status of armor to indicate whether it has been fitted to my body. As a result, i cannot just put on any armor i find or strip off some bandit, because it doesn't fit and would be cumbersome, slow me down, make me trip, etc. So if i want to wear something, i need to bring it to blacksmith and ask them to temper it (i cannot craft stuff myself - i am no blacksmith!). I am using Honed Metal, so it takes the blacksmith a day or two to do it, i have to pay a lot, sometimes i have to pay more for special materials or bring them. Not sure how this approach would be compatible with the way tempering is used by Loot and Degradation. Main problem i see is that with Loot and Degradation you can find already tempered stuff in the wild or on npc - that would negate what i am trying to do with the tempering.

Roggvir Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 By the way, a little back on topic... Any recommended mods that complement Community Shaders? (and aren't mentioned in my previous post here) Particle Lights for more stuff maybe? Some tweaks to fire/smoke? Oh, how about some tweaks to water? to make it freaking STOP GLOWING in dark?

But it still kinda glows... maybe i shouldn't say "glows", but if you look at any rapids in the dark, the foam is still too bright. These pictures are taken in the middle of night with Darker Nights level 1 (the only darker level is 0). The night is bright, because it is full moon, but the water foam is still way too bright. 1. Whiterun Stream - Notice the bright foam on the stream "steps" (can't english, sorry), compared to darker foam on the surface further down (that color is acceptable). 2. Whiterun Rapids - So bright! My eyes! Aaaah, my eyes! it buuuuurrrrrrnssssss! 3. Whiterun Rapids after the bridge - Again, notice the bright foam vs. the darker foam on the surface further down (that color is acceptable for given conditions). 1. 2. 3. Guest Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I hate ENB. I tried community shaders once but found no difference from standard Reshade. Maybe if the reddit cabbagers hype it enough I will start hating it as well, just for the sport of it.

libertyordeath Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I haven't tried CS yet, but red about it extensively. My takeaway as an ENB veteran is: Pro: Light limit fix! This is the big one ENB right now has no answer to. Also slightly better performance, when using the same features (apples to apples comparison) Contra: You lose all work you spent on finetuning your ENB. In my case it easily is 60 hours over a one year period. It would take me months tp recreate a similiar look in CS, since it's not like i can just transfer my enb configfiles. So yeah, if i was just starting a new Skyrim modsetup, i would pick CS over ENB. But since i invested so much time into perfecting my ENB, lightlimit fix alone is not worth throwing all that work out of the window. It is very tempting, yes, but not worth it in my case.
