DeadSomething
hi, i found this armor and tried it out, but it doesnt have BBB. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43563/?tab=4&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D43563%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D986197&pUp=1 can someone add BBB to it? The author has granted "permission to add BBB/BU and upload with crediting you and linking to the original mod" , as you can read in the comments. the mesh already contains the necessary nodes, but the body and most of the outfit dont move, which makes it look strange. i intend to use it as a golden saint armor replacer and add some BreakArmor steps later, which i can do myself. thanks in advance Link to comment
parzysty
Since it's rigged gold armour how do you expect BBB to work on it? Link to comment
DeadSomething
well, some parts which are close to the body and the body itself arent moving, that can be done, but i never learnt how to use blender. Link to comment
gerra6
My first recommendation, this is a great time to take the plunge and learn Blender. Adding BBB is a quick and painless process. Just grab the BBB Weight Painter for the body http://www.loverslab.com/topic/11870-automatic-bb-weight-painter-13-cskyrim-fnv-fo3-oblivion/ And then copy the weightpainting to the armor mesh http://www.loverslab.com/topic/11841-blender-bone-weight-copy-script-23a/ Note: The copied weightpaint will cause the metal to match the movement and deformation of the breast. This is good if the material should be deformable, like cloth. For metal, you generally want rigid movement. One solution is to apply rigid weightpainting to the region of the mesh that you want to move. Simply set all of the affected vertices to the highest value of the breast weightpainting and you get a rigid section of metal that matches the maximum movement of the breast. The other problem is that the breasts are already clipping like crazy through the armor even without BBB. I honestly don't think the end results with this particular mesh will look good. It's just not a very clean mesh. Link to comment
movomo
My recommendation is to resize the boobs region in the armor. Don't bbbfy metalic parts, I'd simply scale them up and let the boobs bounce inside of it. Weaken bb weights on the boobs if needed. It looks not clean to me either. Almost reminds me of the elven sorceress robe bu mesh. Its accessory nif size was about 20mb and took forever to load in blender. When it's finally loaded up, I gave up to fix that mesh because the metalic wire meshes were twisted like hell. Link to comment
DeadSomething
thanks for your experienced opinion on this i already had much lag when loading this into NifSkope, where i combined the meshes to be fullbody armor. i guess i'll have to look for a different armor to replace goldensaint armor - preferably BA with BBB. gerra6
I can believe it, I couldn't even get the cuirass to load in Blender. I'd probably have to clean the mesh in nifskope just to get it to import, but that would mean that I'd need to install nifskope and bah, work. Link to comment
DeadSomething
thats ok, the author hinted in the file description, that he just combined a shitload of meshes... most of them with high polygon count. this armor isnt that important to me as to go through that much stress to make it work. i'll just find a different armor to replace it ;-) Link to comment
